Copenhagen, Denmark one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited (and expensive in the same time) with great architectural, lots of excellent coffee shops and super friendly with the gay and lesbian community. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights in the Kingdom of Denmark are some of the most extensive in the world. The Kingdom consists of the Realm of Denmark a sovereign state compromising three constituent countriesDenmarkGreenland and the Faroe Islands.

In Denmark, same-sex sexual activity was legalized in 1933, and since 1977, the age of consent has been equally set to 15, regardless of sexual orientation or gender.Denmark was the first country in the world to grant legal recognition to same-sex unions in the form of registered partnerships in 1989.

Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, sits on the coastal islands of Zealand and Amager. It’s linked to Malmo in southern Sweden by the Öresund Bridge. Indre By, the city’s historic center, contains Frederiksstaden, an 18th-century rococo district, home to the royal family’s Amalienborg Palace. Nearby is Christiansborg Palace and the Renaissance-era Rosenborg Castle, surrounded by gardens and home to the crown jewels.

4. Admiral Hotel 4* – Gay Friendly Hotels Copenhagen

Admiral Hotel Copenhagen
Admiral Hotel Copenhagen

Our next recommendation for a gay friendly hotel Copenhagen is a 4* hotel, Admiral a  waterfront hotel is next to Amalienborg Royal Palace and opposite Copenhagen Opera House.

The Admiral is a beautiful hotel located within walking distance (of a couple of miles if you enjoy walking as we do) of most of Copenhagen’s main attractions. It’s located just a couple blocks from Nyhavn on the water with a fabulous view of the opera house and Papiroen. Main shopping street, Stroget, is not so close to the hotel but is reachable with 15 mins walk.

The rooms are a little old so things are looking a little dated. The room are not sound proofed well and we constantly heard all sort of noises from the street, other room and pipes, so caution for a light sleeper. There is also no AC, but there was a fan in the closet that could be used for warmer nights

Breakfast offers a wide selection both hot and cold and is more than adequate and  good choice of food, coffees, juices.

The bar has an outdoor patio that faces the harbor and is a great spot for a drink on a cool evening.

5. Cabinn Metro Hotel 2* – Gay Friendly Hotels Copenhagen

Gay Friendly Hotels Copenhagen
Gay Friendly Hotels Copenhagen

Our last suggestion for a gay friendly hotels Copenhagen is a 3* hotel is Cabinn Metro hotel a very popular and on demand hotel in Copenhagen.

Situated 700 m from Ørestad Train Station, this eco-friendly hotel offers free WiFi and compact, yet functional rooms.

The location is quite brilliant for the Bella Center as its a 10 mins walk so you get a decent bit of excercise but not too far. It’s right next to the Field’s shopping centre too. Transport wise its excellent too. From the airport it’s 6 mins on the train

The rooms are small but with all the basic facilities Tea/Coffee maker, TV, Telephone, in room shower toilet etc. The Rooms are neat & clean.

The rooms also had a small desk, chair, space for the towels and closet, space for the luggage, mini-kitchen with sink and shelf underneath. The bathroom is a bit tiny, but had hot water and all the amenities you’d expect.  The bathroom is small and the the shower does wet the entire floor.

The breakfast is convenient (you can pay by the day) and the food was quite good (fresh, and a nice variety).

To sum up the Cabbin Metro offers great value, staff who are friendly and professional and do their best to provide a good experience.
