Gay Friendly Hotels Bucharest

Guide to Gay Friendly Hotels in Bucharest Romania (2024 Updated)

Homosexuality was a taboo subject during the communist regime of Nicolae Ceausescu; many went to prisons and many died in the notorious Romanian jails during those type. Now the climate has changed in Romania; being gay does not send it to jail and even if it’s a orthodox country and gay and lesbian marriages are not allowed and won’t be allowed anytime soon, visiting Bucharest along with your couple won’t raise any problem.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in Romania may face legal challenges and discrimination not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Attitudes in Romania are generally conservative, with regard to the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender citizens. Nevertheless, the country has made significant changes in LGBT rights legislation since 2000. In the past two decades, it fully decriminalised homosexuality, introduced and enforced wide-ranging anti-discrimination laws.

The location of the Rembrandt couldn’t be better – 1 min walk into the pedestrian area from the taxi drop-off point, right into the heart of the many bars and restaurants – The Lipscani or Old Town where are located mostly of the clubs of Bucharest.

There are few different rooms type where you can choose from.

The room with the balcony worths every penny – it has an attic room but big enough, with an amazing view over the lively old town and the beautiful bronze roofs of Bucharest.
