31 Days of Blogging Challenge: Day 9 – a story from your childhood

First, I had in mind a memoir. Then I remembered the story! To be honest with you guys, my childhood was AWESOME! Till school, I grow up along with my brother and cousins at my grandmother, in the countryside of Romania. Quite place, amazing and tasty food and healthy.

3 of us played all day long and of course we did some brats too. We were children and were allowed to do them without any major punishments!

I am going to tell the story when I was about to die! I remember perfectly that day. Sunny, hot summer day; midday. My grandmother was just resting after a hard working day in the garden. We played all day long, so we weren’t tired, so we went to some friends house to play.

At some point we got hungry and since we had at our house some candies, I was chosen to go home and bring it! I was the curly one! So, I run back home, tried to be as quiet as I could in order not to wake up my grandma and took at least 5 coffee candies. There were amazing and a bit expensive and we did not afford to buy as many as we wished for!

I had put 5 in my hand and in order to have extra space for one candy I decided to put one in my mouth and to eat it on the road. But I made a huge mistake! I decided to run instead of a normal walk. And I got choked with the candy. I was on the edge of death; barely managed to breathe, the candy was stuck in my throat and I was crying! Luckily, one lady helps me, gave me some water to drink to push the candy into my stomach and eased me!

From that point I decided not to steal any candy!
