1. Hotel 64 Nice 4* – Gay Friendly Hotels Nice

Hotel 64 Nice

Hotel 64 Nice is located in centre of Nice, just 3 minutes’ walk from Nice-Ville Train Station and 15 minutes’ walk from the Old Town, the Promenade des Anglais and the beach. Fully renovated in April 2016, the hotel features free WiFi throughout the property and it’a a lovely gay friendly hotels Nice.

Each soundproofed room includes a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. A bottle of water is offered upon arrival.

Breakfast is served in the morning and guests have free access to soft drinks throughout the day.

Located in center-station of Nice, near the sea and casinos, the Hotel 64 Nice The offers a warm welcome in a luxurious and modern setting completely renovated this year. The Hotel 64 Nice offers 44 comfortable rooms divided into 4 categories and equipped with all necessary facilities for a business trip or leisure. The property enjoys a central location and easy access to taxis and the railway station on foot. The pedestrian and shopping are minutes away on Avenue Jean Medecin towards the sea.

During your stay, explore the famous Promenade des Anglais and all the treasures of Nice (the Place Massena, the Cours Saleya). In addition, you can easily reach the Italian Riviera and St. Tropez, less than two hours.

The hotel is centrally located in NICE and has right across the street tram and metro station, it’s flooded with restaurants and shopping areas. Old town is 12-15 mins away that did help get around quickly. Melanie at the front desk was quite helpful and she helped us get all of the possible info around the city and the hotel – worth the stay and I recommend staying at this hotel.

Hotel 64 is located on the main shopping street in Nice. Not on the oceanfront neither in the old part of town. However, it is only 10-15 min walk to the Beach and 20 to the old part of town. And, there are trams right outside the hotel should you not want to walk. The hotel was remodelled not too long ago and I like the modern/contemporary interior style with mostly white and black details. Very ”un-french” and fresh unless you’re looking for old styled french Riviera looks.

Beds are comfy and the pillows are probably the best I have ever tried (!). Bonus points! The breakfast restaurant is tiny but they serve a nice breakfast with some Bio alternatives.

This is a great hotel conveniently located 3-4 blocks from the train, near several excellent restaurants and shops. It is an easy 15 minute walk to Old Town or the sea. The staff is what truly makes this hotel one of the BEST I have ever stayed! Everyone that I encountered was polite, smiling and helpful.

The rooms are extremely clean and well coordinated. The hotel offers you slippers and a bathrobe and each room has its own remote to control the temp. The maid service was kind and attentive. We had the breakfast on the last day and it too had a great variety, was fresh and delicious, I thought it was well worth the 15€. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to everyone. We ate at Le French Cafe and a Lebanese restaurant just a few blocks away and both were great as well.

Great hotel in fabulous location. 5 mins walk from train station.10 minute walk from line 2 tram station from the airport . 15 minute walk to old town and promenade and line 1 tram stop up and down Jean Medecin ave right outside hotel. Rooms immaculate and fresh towels and toiletries every day. Bed so comfortable and pillows were amazing.

Complimentary tea coffee hot chocolate available in dining area 24 hours a day and complimentary bottles of water also available in a fridge in dining area. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

he room was clean and well equipped with a beautiful balcony overlooking the street. The doors are totally soundproof and block any noise when closed. The staff are very professional and gay friendly hotels Nice, at all times, no request was too much, they are a credit to their profession.

Must add the food establishment next door ‘la fendi’ – Provides the most beautiful food by lovely people at reasonable prices- a definite must to visit( even if you are not staying next door) . You will love this place and can access the train station only 2 minutes up the street. ❤️ Thank you for your custom, you are amazing!

2. Hotel Victor Hugo Nice 2* – Gay Friendly Hotels Nice

Hotel Victor Hugo Nice
Hotel Victor Hugo Nice

Hotel Victor Hugo Nice is located on the ground-floor of a 20th-century house with marble staircase, just a 5-minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais and the beach, as well as a 10-minute walk from shops and Nice’s Old Town. It offers 7 rooms and suites with a private bathroom and a kitchenette.

Guests can choose between rooms and studio, all equipped with air-conditioning, a flat screen TV and a clock radio. Rooms feature a balcony and the private bathrooms have a shower and a hairdryer.

A buffet breakfast is served daily and many restaurants are located in the area. Hotel Victor Hugo also provides daily newspapers and free WiFi access.

The Hotel Victor Hugo Nice is not like other. Very gay friendly, Cosette and and Gilles are always happy greeting you. This 7 room hotel is in the ground-floor of a 1905 building. The hotel is located on one of the most prestigious avenues in Nice, 5 minutes from the Promenade des Anglais and the beaches, 10 minutes from downtown shopping and the old town. Hotel Victor Hugo, Nice is a charming hotel. Experience an atmosphere where friendliness and warmth are the watchwords. Complimentary Breakfast, parking available (fee), Concierge, Kitchenette and many services.

This is a small 7-room hotel on the ground floor of a larger early 20th century building in one of the best roads in Nice, by which I mean it’s a grand boulevard lined with fine buildings. We found the location to be ideal, only a 5 minute walk from the seafront, 10 minutes from the railway station, and right opposite the new Alsace Lorraine tram stop from where 20 minutes and a €1 ticket will get you to the airport. Both the hotel and the larger building it forms part of are full of character and just about as different from a modern purpose-built hotel as you could get.

Our room was simple but comfortable and homely. A very comfortable bed, a small but perfectly adequate bathroom with a good shower, and we particularly appreciated the kitchenette.

Breakfast was a simple help yourself affair with cheese, ham, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, jams and spreads, pastries, yogurt, granola, cornflakes, fruit juice, teas, and great coffee and bread.

What made this place truly special though was the kindness and expert hospitality of the owner. Gilles is a former distinguished (Clefs D’Or) hotel concierge and we wanted for nothing in the way of information, help and personal service. We also really enjoyed chatting to him about life in Nice and in France generally and left feeling we had got under the skin of the city and the country.

Thank you Gilles and Cosette, until the next time! ?

. I stayed in the room Guernesey and it was lovely, somewhere between a little studio apartment (complete with a little kitchen area with sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a small microwave oven) and a quaint B&B style room. Although the windows overlooked the street (with a lovely view of the Jardin AlsaceLorraine) the room was very quiet (especially at night).

The room was air-conditioned (yes, it was hot in July) and the bed was very comfortable. The room was a good size for one or two people.

Gilles was a wonderful host! I felt welcomed immediately and was given all the details needed for my stay. As I wanted to practice speaking ONLY French on this trip (one of the main reasons for traveling alone), it was an absolute pleasure to have a conversation in the breakfast room with him every morning! And speaking of breakfast, it was perfect! Fresh breads, yogurt, juice, coffee, hard-boiled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, etc. Great way to start the day!

I also enjoyed my greeting each morning at my door from Cosette, his adorable little, friendly dog! So cute!

The location of the hotel is FANTASTIC! A 5 minute walk to the Promenade des Anglais! And a short walk to many of the places you’ll want to visit and to some great restaurants!

I’d like to add that if a bigger, more “modern”, luxury hotel is what you are looking for in Nice then you might want to book a hotel along the Promenade des Anglais, etc. BUT if you want a wonderful, intimate, quaint experience, with a great location and lots of charm this was a perfect little hotel with the perfect host and I would definitely stay here again!

3. Hotel de France 3* – Gay Friendly Accommodation Nice

Hotel de France

Nice-Ville Train Station is a 15-minute walk from the hotel and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is 20 minutes away by shuttle bus. Public parking with discounted rates is available 100 m away.

The Hotel de France ***, 150m from the famous Promenade des Anglais, the sea and its beaches, welcomes you in the heart of the Carré d’Or of Nice. The ideal place to spend a great private or business trip. 100% renovated in 2019, with a new elevator and a new terrace where you can relax, take breakfast in the morning or a drink in the evening.

Our small rooms *** are well equipped with very good bedding, mini-fridge, Nespresso machine and kettle, 4G pocket Wi-Fi, private bathroom and toilet, individual air conditioning and soundproofing, flat screen TV, hair dryer and iron. You will appreciate our friendly and cosy atmosphere, the quality of our services and the availability of our team. Your satisfaction is our priority!

Small and cosy hotel and very friendly staff! Well located, less than 3 minutes walk from the beach walk in Nice. Close to (in the) site centre and to tram/metro station if you prefer that. The rooms are small. Recently refreshed interiors. Nice with a serve-yourself-mini-bar in the lobby with a book where you note what you had. Friendly atmosphere.

The hotel was recently renovated so the rooms and bathrooms felt very fresh and clean. The location was perfect, less than a two minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk into the old town. The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating.

Hotel De France is a beautifully new and renovated hotel in a great location, only a couple minutes walk to the beach and Promenade! The customer service was welcoming and friendly. The view from my spacious room was amazing, I look forward to becoming an annual guest! Hotel De France is definitely one of the best places to visit in France.

Great hotel for both location and atmosphere. The hotel manager & all staff were fantastic. They were friendly and helpful and tried their best to make our stay as good as possible. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice, including freshly squeezed orange juice, with both healthy and indulgent options. My husband is vegan and they went out of their way to provide for this. The beds/pillows are very comfortable and the showers are good. There were a few issues with the room but these were rectified and compensation made. We love this hotel and will be staying again when we next visit Nice.

In a time when many hotels (or at least their management and accountants) are looking for ways to cut corners and maximize their profits, the folks here have been going in the opposite direction. They upgraded a two star hotel into a comfortable three star, and have added commendable touches such as very comfortable beds, rainwater shower heads, decent toiletries and thick towels. The hallways and rooms have cheery wallpaper and large flat panel television sets. There is a large modern elevator, one not often found in older buildings. The breakfast is OK, if not remarkable. While the street the hotel is on could be noisy, our room was further back and with the windows shut was rather quiet, a big plus in a city.

One of the main assets of the hotel is its vibrant multi-ethnic neighborhood. It is a very short walk to the beaches and the Promenade Anglais, and can generally be enjoyed at more reasonable prices.

The bathroom was less than ideal. While the rainwater shower was nice, the sink was tiny, so much so that there was no room for toiletry kits, and each item had to be brought into the bathroom one at a time, ex. shaving gear, toothbrush, comb and hair gel.

The hotel has been recently renovated so everything is brand new. Still some paint smell, but nothing so bad. We had a great sleep, mattresses and pillows are super comfortable and the room have a good noise isolation, furthermore, there is a nespresso machine in the room. The staff is friendly and always looking to help you they really go for the extra mile.

4. Hotel Negresco 5* – LGBT Friendly Hotels Nice

Hotel Negresco
Hotel Negresco

The famous Hotel Negresco, dating from the beginning of the 20th century, overlooks the beach and the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. From Louis XIII style to modern art, 5 centuries of history are exhibited throughout the hotel. Free Wifi access is provided and there is an on-site fitness centre.

Each room and suite is decorated individually with period furniture and features air conditioning. Rooms are also equipped with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom.

A fresh buffet breakfast is served each morning in La Rotonde restaurant. Snacks and drinks can be enjoyed in the British-style bar, and gourmet meals are served at the Michelin star Le Chantecler restaurant.

Hotel Negresco’s guests can benefit from access to the Neptune private beach area, at an extra cost, where water sports can be enjoyed.

Finding an ideal romantic hotel in Nice does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Hotel Negresco, a nice option for travelers like you.

Close to some of Nice’s most popular landmarks, such as Cathedrale Sainte-Reparate (0.9 mi) and Place Garibaldi (1.2 mi), Hotel Negresco is a great destination for tourists.

Hotel Negresco Nice is a romantic hotel offering a flat screen TV, air conditioning, and a minibar in the rooms, and it is easy to stay connected during your stay as free wifi is offered to guests.

The hotel features a 24 hour front desk, a concierge, and room service. Plus, guests can enjoy a fitness center and breakfast, which have made this a popular choice among travelers visiting Nice. For guests with a vehicle, parking is available.

When you’re feeling hungry, be sure to check out Le Vingt4, BiBoViNo Nice, and Bootgrill Restaurant, which are some wine bars that are popular with locals and out-of-towners alike.

If you’re looking for something to do, Castle Hill (1.1 mi), Old Town (Vieille Ville) (0.5 mi), and Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas (0.7 mi) are a nice way to spend some time, and they are all within walking distance of Hotel Negresco.

Hotel Le Negresco in Nice is one of those classic icons that truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment we entered the door, we were welcomed and greeted with an impeccable level of service that continued until the moment that we checked out. The rooms and decor of the hotel are representative of classic French design, with elements of modern art sprinkled throughout the equation. Staying here is very much like staying in a museum, as the art collection alone is enough to keep you busy for days on end.

The rooms are all unique and you’ll have to appreciate the classic style if you want to stay here. These are not sleek and modern rooms. Instead, I find them to be wonderfully comfortable and cozy — the kind of room that truly makes you feel like you’re at home. Dining at the hotel offers many variations and we found them all to be very good — including the buffet breakfast, which was part of our reservation package. Beach access couldn’t be more convenient and as a home base for exploring the Cote d‘Azur, Le Negresco simply cannot be beat.

This is without question my favorite place to stay in Nice and I look forward to returning.

The Negresco Hotel Nice is like a lively, colourful, historic and traditional museum. There are art objects from many decades, such as chandeliers, paintings and furniture. Every floor and wing has a different decorative theme, including themes such as Napoleon, Dali and Picasso.

I had a large size suite with a big bathroom equipped with a separate old-style bathtub, a large shower, and a separate toilet. Each room is different so be sure to check the hotel’s website which provides good information about the different sizes of the rooms and suites; and the decoration style.

If you have a lot of time and are looking for an exclusive, old-style, historic hotel you will be very happy. The location is fantastic and there are plenty of things to do and to see in Nice and the Côte d’Azur.

Our room was a nice size with a view of the sea, a bit over decorated for my taste, but pretty. The bathroom was something else! Glitter gold tub, sink and bidet. Actually I think they are cool in a 1970’s Bass Boat kind of way. The public areas have lots of important art works and antiques as well as contemporary works.

Loved the quaint lift, beautiful. There’s a similar one in Claridges in London and when we went there a few years back, there was a delightful “lift man” who actually worked the lift for you. And a bench too!

Our room was bright and big but the shower was small and narrow. The washbasin was extremely low and a nuisance for my husband who is over 6′ tall.

There are 2 mini bottles of Evian upon arrival, and any extra water must be purchased through room service.

Slippers, bathrobes, hairdryer and a safe are provided, as one would expect from this type of hotel.

There is no car park but the car valet will park (and return) your car. 28€/24h but I think if you have a suite, this is free.

We had the occasion to have been shown the lovely Napoleon Junior Suite, favourite of the recently deceased owner, Mrs Augier, I was told. But as not in the same price league as our 4th floor “Exclusive” room, (with a beautiful partial sea view).

Definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel offers excellent service and very spacious rooms looking at Promenade des Anglais. The food at the hotel is very good and breakfast too – although I do recommend to order a la carte instead of the buffet if you are a foodie it is much worth it. It is the most emblematic building in the French Riviera and The Chantecler its michelin star restaurant is fabulous. Cleaning of the rooms is very good , efficient and fast.

My only recommendation would be to solicit a renovated room and it is worth paying extra and guaranteeing the sea view. All the rooms at the hotel are different from one another.

5. Hôtel La Pérouse Nice Baie des Anges 4* – Gay Friendly Hotels Nice

Hôtel La Pérouse Nice Baie des Anges
Hôtel La Pérouse Nice Baie des Anges

This luxury, 4-star boutique hotel is located high above the Promenade des Anglais nestled into the Colline du Château. It is 250 m from both Cours Saleya and the harbour, and offers a heated outdoor swimming pool and a sun terrace with sea views.

A minibar, free Wi-Fi access and wired internet are provided in each air-conditioned room. Some rooms feature a private balcony where guests can enjoy views of the sea and have breakfast. All of the rooms have an Italian marble bathroom and an elegant Mediterranean décor.

Enjoy Provencal cuisine on the terrace, in the shade of the lemon trees. A buffet breakfast, including hot and cold dishes, local and organic products is prepared every morning at Hôtel La Pérouse.

The hidden treasure of Nice, facing the Mediterranean Sea in a peaceful atmosphere, even if we are in the very center of the city.

Location- opposite side of the bay to the airport so expect to pay 30-40 euros in a taxi. Five minute’s walk to the old town, ten minutes to the main shops, ten minutes around the headland to the harbour. Less than five minutes to the beach. We had two lovely days in the Castle Beach Club- sunbeds, great music and a chilled out vibe. Really cosmopolitan atmosphere and seemed gay-friendly. Spent 60 euros each for a full day of beach, lunch, coffees, beers, etc. Not bad at all by Nice standards where everything is expensive and that’s that!

We paid for a standard twin so were expecting no view at all. We were pleasantly surprised by our little terrace with table, chairs and sun beds. If you stood up you could see the sea, and when sitting down you had a pleasant view of shrubs/ rooftops. The room was clean and nicely furnished and decorated but not enormous. The twin beds were pushed together with one sheet but two separate quilts.

Might not be ideal if you’re not sharing with a close friend! Plenty of wardrobe space, mirrors, sockets etc. Usual over priced mini bar but we did manage to sneak the odd half bottle of supermarket champers in there! Lovely shower room, looked newly refurbished with lovely clean grout and no mould. Plenty of toiletries, robes etc. We were next to the lift so I suppose it could have been a bit noisy but with a few glasses of wine and a pair of earplugs I slept like a baby.

The public areas are all very clean and nicely furnished. There’s a great view from the rooftop terrace. There isn’t a view from the pool but it’s really pleasant and, unlike the Radisson, there’s no charge for a sunlounger. The restaurant is very tranquil and the breakfast really nice with everything there should be- good hot coffee with warm milk, fresh fruit, lovely bread and croissants etc etc etc. Try the goat’s cheese- not a breakfast time staple at home but delicious.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. They were fully booked so could not accommodate our late check-out request, but they stored our bags and made us welcome to use the pool etc, there was a small toilet with a hairdryer where we got changed but we had to use the open air shower by the pool.

This rather unassuming hotel truly is a hidden gem on the beautiful French Riviera. Rooms are simple yet well appointed with their true selling point being the spectacular views out to sea from the balconies and terraces. We were in room 505 and I cannot stress enough how waking up here takes your breath away.
Not only this, the location is fantastic just a 5 minute walk to the port in one direction and 5 minutes to the Old Town in the other. This means you have plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend buying wine (perfect to enjoy on the terrace) from Les Grandes Caves Caprioglio, just around the corner in old town. The staff there really know their stuff and we had some great, affordable champagne and Provence Rose.

The staff are wonderful, I have no doubt they will make your stay extra special as ours was. Breakfast is delightful with fresh croissants, hot buffet and as much freshly squeezed orange juice as you like (which, if you had children, would love juicing themselves in the machine).

The swimming pool is heated and a sun trap for the whole afternoon, if you don’t fancy walking to the public beach – again within just a few steps. The pictures of the pool area really don’t do it justice. If you just want to escape and read a book in the sun there’s also a roof terrace on the 6th floor, again with amazing views of Nice and The Mediterranean.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and cannot wait to return myself. Thank you La Perouse for an unforgettable stay!
