Before going on a holiday, we only concentrate on the things we must take with us while traveling. We all are making lists just to not forget something precious behind. Usually 80% of the things can be bought on the stoop.
But there are some items that we leave behind, at home and don’t need them at all while you are travelling around the world!
Home keys. Usually we know when leaving, but coming back, no; that’s been the case for the round the world travelers. So we leave the keys at home and there will be in the same stop we left it.
The bills: no more money wasted on the electricity, the rent, the phone bill etc.
The phone number; not the phone. Roaming abroad is very expensive, so usually your normal phone number will be useless. Used only for emergency calls. The alternative is to buy a local SIM card. It’s way cheaper! So, bye bye 0740.1xx. xxx!
The Control remote; this if you have a Smart TV back home. It may sound a little bit crazy, but I don’t watch TV while traveling. I hate when the rooms I am accommodated in having a TV. And I am not willing to pay extra for having it. Almost 6 months without a day to day TV (Champions League Matches were a must in Africa), and I rediscovered my passion for reading.
Subway Monthly Pass – probably till we will come back, it will expire anyway! Some cities as Bangkok do have some special passes four tourists as Rabbit Card which are valid many months after you purchase one card. Even the balance is kept on the card so this is an example of a card not to forget at home if you are frequent travelling to Bangkok. The good thing about the Rabbit card is that it can be used in some shops and food courts around Bangkok and Thailand as well including Phuket.
