How many mosques are there in United Arab Emirates?
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Abu Dhabi do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

It’s a dry hotel and completely halal and this is the best thing for us Muslims especially during Eid. The hotel was very crowded and looked completely full but in the end our overall stay was very satisfying.
Let’s discuss the beautifully decorated room that held that colonial/ palatial type theme with a clean and comfortable king size bed and a nice lounge space accompanying the bed. It was as pictured and better. Only downside was the room service good. The 2x I did order where not quality food and that could a room for improvement there. But the Spa services of the Gym ladies section for comfort and modesty catering for us Muslim women and the Jacuzzi and Sauna steam room where lovely and a wonderful end to my daily activities outside.
Overall I had a wonderful memorable experience and lovely customer service from everyone in the hotel staff.

You cannot drink by the pool or eat during the day but there are plenty of tents and domes where you can do this out of sight to prevent offence. We used to go up to our room to have a fruit which was supplied for us everyday it was pure define the whole holiday. All the staff are from all over the world and they are just exceptional and make our holiday too as just can’t do enough for you.
If you follow the rules it’s a great time to go as the quality doesn’t change, you almost have the palace to yourself, and you also get to see Muslim Culture first hand.
We were made very welcome. The hotel is wonderful and I would highly recommend it.
Service that is par excellence..nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff (from doorman to room service to waiters to pool attendants to housekeeping and buggy drivers) and all with huge, warm smiles.
Excellent room amenities including complimentary coke, sprite, tonic water and soda water throughout your stay! A most helpful and lovely touch.
Complimentary camel rides and Arabic coffee served in a bedouin tent on the hotel’s private beach….wonderful although much too hot to enjoy hot coffee during the day.
Fabulous buffet breakfast options in Le Vendome restaurant with stunning sea views from the terrace…only one request – PLEASE install ceiling fans on all your terraces as it was simply too hot to sit outside and enjoy an al-fresco meal.

The architectural details of the hotel were grand and aesthetically pleasing everywhere you looked. Our room was very comfortable. Anthony (in charge of the butlers of our room) made sure to track us down at breakfast one morning to introduce himself and let us know he was at our service. Housekeeping was excellent and we would find notes and surprises awaiting us (towels shaped as swans holding a rose) . Between Olea for breakfast, the full service beach, various pools, fitness center, and the Manhattan Lounge, there was almost no need to leave the facility. I stayed for 8 nights and in that time, the staff became like family.
Our view of the sea and property was magnificent. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We appreciated all the space for clothes and luggage! We also liked the design and color palette and felt it was on point for a beach resort.
They also appreciated the chocolates and fruit delivered by the team with great smiles. Parking was a breeze. Dinner at Buddha Bar terrific. Spa was excellent and massage was strong. Our biggest highlight though was breakfast every morning at Olea. The whole team went above and beyond to make sure it was a truly memorable experience. On our trip to UAE we stayed at many amazing properties and no where did we experience the level of care and attention to to detail as at Olea.
Anurag and Karthi did a tremendous job of overseeing a highly engaged team focused on guest experience. Nah took care of our family every morning and took the time to really understand what we enjoyed. We also had a few special requests and she helped orchestrate them to perfection.
She also made best friends with our two kids who wanted to take her home with them! Akhil was attentive and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

We had booked for bed and breakfast and therefore cannot comment on the other restaurants in the hotel, but if the breakfast is any indication it will be first class.
Within the confines of this being a muslim country and therefore no pork products the breakfast on offer was excellent. It was a buffet style service but do not let that put you off.
The room itself was superb. I had a suite overlooking the south beach and the view was magnificent, with the sun setting over the majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque. The ocean was lovely to swim in, as was the pool which we had access to. The internet was excellent.
The staff -reception, restaurants, and all auxiliary staff were polite and extremely helpful.
We were given a room with a balcony with a view of the strip of private beach for the hotel with a backdrop view of the splendid Sheikh Zayed Mosque. There is a waterway (canal) with a free boat ride to the Qaryat souk and Trader’s hotel.
The health club is located away from the main hotel building and you are provided a golf cart to take you there and to return you to the hotel. There is a health club for men and a separate one for women and with separate changing rooms.
There is also a rooftop swimming pool attached to the health club reserved for adults.
We would recommend to book inclusive with breakfast which is open buffet with excellent services.

he Architecture and interiors are something unique to Abu Dhabi- modern, spacious and inviting lobby; classy yet understated elegance. The musical chandelier by Drift Studio is breathtaking.
he service culture is impeccable. The moment you approach the entrance, from the valet staff to the lobby manager, check-in experience, etc.. all seamless with a smile and friendliness that makes you want to become buddies with them:-).
The Market- All day dining is a place to have a no-guilt breakfast to remember. The ingredients are organic, fresh and obviously sourced out very carefully.
For breakfast, I had the crushed avocado and poached eggs on Rye bread- to die for. The veggie burger, which I was told is Tom’s signature dish is a must try for lunch, while I am yet to try their dinner menu. 3 different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner- in one restaurant.
Alba Terrace: Mediterranean cuisine with an Italian flair.
The view of the marina from the balcony was absolutely stunning. The motorized curtains were a welcomed addition to the room as was the separate bathtub and shower. There were more than enough towels and toiletries in the room which eliminated calls for extras. Kudos of the breakfast staff and chef at Alba Terrace. Breakfast was incredible. I didn’t expect the à la carte menu to be so extensive. I usually love buffet menus. But this menu had everything and more.
I enjoyed my stay and wish O could have stayed longer. If you are looking for a top-notch luxury hotel, this one should certainly be on the list. I will most definitely stay here again the next time I am in Abu Dhabi.
