We really like the Moose Hotel because of its location close to downtown Banff.
We also really enjoy the two outdoor Hot Tubs on the upper floor.
They are pet friendly as well and it was our first trip with our dog and they were very accommodating and provided us with a Dog Bed, Bowls and a treat for him too.
The view from the room was spectacular. The fireplace in the room was perfect. The bathroom was really comfortable.
The attention to my pet was just great. I really enjoy staying here. 100% recommended if you’re staying with a dog.
We brought our cat, and we were very pleased when we arrived that the hotel had put out a pet bed and bowls for us.
It was also nice that our cat received the same welcome as a dog would, as she is actually a better traveller than our dogs, who stayed at a sitters this trip.
The room itself is lovely and well appointed. The rain shower head is amazing, and we enjoyed sitting in front of the electric fireplace in the evening.
There is also a separate dining area, and a small kitchenette that had a microwave, small fridge, plates and cutlery.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the mountain views from this hotel cannot be beat!
There are two hot pools, a sauna and fireplace area on the rooftop of the Moose, and as Covid restrictions have been lifted, we were able to enjoy these facilities.
Everything felt clean and safe to use. They even had pool loungers and daybeds placed so you can have a lovely panoramic view of the mountains. So gorgeous!

Happy Camper coffee barista offers coffee and confectioneries to guests of Canalta Lodge. In the morning, a complimentary breakfast is offered.
So welcoming, super attentive to us as guests, and our dog Cooper!
They even gave him some caesars dog food and a dish to eat it from!
Stayed in the two beds and a bunk. Clean, 3 TV’s, hide a bed couch. Staff was helpful, accommodating.
Pets are allowed for a fee, we will bring ours next time.
Complimentary s’mores around the outdoor firepit was a great touch!
Outdoor hot tubs and plunge pool were clean, and an awesome place to sit while it snowed.
Complimentary breakfast was excellent!
Walkable to town, we walked n for dinner.
Kitchenette well equipped, dishwasher, stove top etc.
Our dogs had a good time and enjoyed the complimentary dishes and were provided with a treat and poo bags to ensure there was no shortage to keep Banff beautiful.
There are only a few areas that the dogs are not allowed in and it was not inconvenient and very reasonable.
We enjoyed the hot tubs and dry sauna as well as the complimentary s’mores kit.
Breakfast is hot and some of the items change daily.
It was clean and well organized and there was staff to wipe off the tables between use and plenty of hand sanitizer stations everywhere.
The underground parking was under a little bit of construction so parking was maybe not as ideally easy and straightforward as one would hope, but it is secure and heated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Walking to downtown Banff and restaurants was very easy to do and the evenings were quiet.
They also provided complimentary ear plugs as the train still goes by overnight. It was a lovely pet friendly hotel and we would stay here again when we come back to Banff.
The staff were friendly and lovely, the hotel was clean, modern, and well decorated, and the amenities were a great way to start and end the day of fun and adventures.

Set on Tunnel Mountain, this scenic hotel is 2 km from downtown Banff and 9 km from Mount Norquay Ski Resort.
Amenities include a lounge with a fireplace and an antler chandelier, a restaurant offering modern dishes, and a seasonal eatery with a mountain-view patio.
The location of the property itself is lovely but the location of our room was not – it was by the parking lot with lots of noise from cars and people and the view was of only the highway – we had asked for a pet-friendly room and were originally told we could pay more money for this but expect a downgrade.
Then we paid the same rate but it was true – definitely a downgrade. We had stayed here often without our dog and it is much nicer in non-pet-friendly rooms.
We’ve stayed 2 nights with our dog and loved the place! The food was great and hot when delivered to our room. We’re really enjoyed the fireplace and free wood provided each day.
Welcoming and friendly staff. 20 minutes’ walk to downtown Banff is really convenient if you have a dog. We’ll definitely book again with Buffalo Mountain Lodge.
If you are thinking to travel to Banff in winter, this is a great place to stay!
It’s close enough to the town center as well as some nice hiking trails. Cosy surroundings.
Pet friendly rooms are also available, which was one of the reasons why we picked this lodge.

Very accommodating for pets. Isolated location so you get the peace and quiet without being far from the town.
Bus stop right in front. Loads of things to do around the area. Stayed at the bedroom 3 Queen Loft and it’s really spacious, loads of window and overall a great space for friends/families.
Beautiful view from the outdoor hot tub, wood fireplace stocked with wood was really nice to curl up to. Pet friendly & supply dog bed, dishes & toy.
We had our dog and the room provided a dog bed, dog bowl and a dog toy. This is the first place I ever been that has amenities for pets.
The room was dated and very dusty. It is clear that the housekeepers just do the basic cleaning.
There was a lot of dust on the TVs and ledges. Due to Covid, you could book the pool or hot tub for 25 mins. Overall great family getaway and very pet friendly.

We are moving across the country and so have to travel with our 3 small dogs. This hotel actually gave us the perfect room for 3 adults and 3 fur family. We were at ground level with a patio and a small yard and a view of a mountain, we loved it!
The room itself was beautifully designed, lovely colours, very restful. Nice big TV as well.
Then there was the opportunity to just stroll in Banff which was a lovely bonus. Would stay here again.
Great location, it was nice to be able to walk anywhere downtown Banff you would want to go.
Cozy hotel. Clean. Breakfast included was amazing, fresh and good variety.
We were also travelling with our dog and it was nice that there were a few garbages around to put the poop bags in (you’d be surprised that some hotels don’t have garbages outside).
Rooms are modern and very clean. Nice fridge and coffee maker and balcony . Very nice sitting area and yard outside.
Our room was by stairs to yard to take our dog outside, super convenient. The hot tub and pool were great to soak in after a long day of walking. Front staff are very friendly.
