Brothers Hostel Cairo, 10 minutes walking from the Tahrir Square, the Brother Hostel is a good option for a short stay in Cairo. Located on the 4 floor of an old and the quite famous building (a very popular Egyptian movie was shot here), the hostel is the right choice for all those who like to be in the midst of things.
Location: 34 Talaart Harb Street, 4th Floor.
It is located on of the most crowded streets in Cairo by night and by day. The windows are big enough and keep the noise outside of the room.
Staff is very friendly and will help you with anything you need.
Security and services: There are always 2-3 persons at the reception so you can leave your things in the room or in the corridors. There are no lockers available, so the best option to keep your things safe is to have it with you.
Prices and facilities: There are 6 rooms available in the hostel. 3 area with double beds – the price is $25 per room. The other 3 rooms are with 4 beds, but one bed is a king size one so at least 5 persons can fit in that room. The prices in person are 12.5 $. Keep in mind that the airport transfer is included in the price so if you don’t want the airport, transfer to be included in the price, the room could be smaller.
Breakfast is included and consists of 3 small breeds (quite good and sweet), honey, butter, gem and an interesting coffee. Which I believe was instant coffee.
WI-FI is also available and works excellent!
The rooms are quite big. My room had a nice fireplace as well. AC is also available, but it was not necessary to turn ON. Beds are comfortable and the sheets are clean. Cleaning is done every day, which is a great thing.
For the 6 available rooms there are only 2 bathrooms. During high season the bathroom might get crowded. Regarding cleanness everything was in order.
