BS Residance Bangkok Room

BS Residence Suvarnabhumi | Bangkok | Reviews & Photos

BS Residence Suvarnabhumi is located 10 minute drive away (6,6km) from the Suvarnabhumi International Airport which makes it a good choice if you are looking for a hotel close to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

I have stayed 3 times at a hotel near Suvarnabhumi Airport – 2 times at Thong Ta Resort – see review here  and and one time to BS Residence this May. I can say that after these 2 hotels, BS Residence is the better option for a hotel next to Suvarnabhumi Airport!

Price is similar to Thong Ta Resort – 20-22$/night but hotel is much much better!

Located on a quite street on 836/2 Soi 30/4 Ladkrabang Rd, BS Residence is close to few restaurants, some bars and a 7-Eleven shop which is open 24/7. The building is new (there are as well – 2 buildings  – one older and the new one) and compared to Thong Ta Resort has an elevator which make is perfect of elder people and travellers with a lot of baggages!

The hotel offers free shuttle transfer from Suvarnabhumi Airport as well; you have to go to the meeting point and there you have to wait 10-15 min till the shuttle departs. The shuttle service was smooth and with a good car. Drivers very good and they help you with the luggages as well.

All staff were very friendly and accommodating, assisting us with all our luggage and making arrangements for our airport shuttle the next morning.

There are different room types based on which wing you are located: standard room in the older wing on 2th floor is  rather small (6×3.4m=20m² including bathroom) without a view on the swimming pool.

The “deluxe” rooms in the new wing are larger, with pool view and including a balcony.

Rooms

Ask a room with a swimming pool view; the coffee in the morning will have a different taste!

We have booked one night before our Qatar Airways flight from Bangkok to Bucharest via Doha.

Very spacious clean room – big bed, great aircon, clean bathroom with a shower and complimentary bottled water and coffee.

King sized bed with good quality bed linens and a very comfortable mattress.

I booked via bookig.com a double room but I got a twin room; the beds are not big for 2 persons to sleep and me and my girlfriend had to sleep in 2 separate bed; not sure how made the mistake – b00king, us or the hotel. I was low season in Bangkok and hotel was not that crowded.

We arrived late in the evening and next day we had the early flight to Bucharest from Bangkok so we did not tried the swimming pool. There are mixed reviews on Tripadvisor regarding the pool – some are great some describe the poor condition on it. I think depends on the season and who is in charge of in on that day.

You can book onle BS Residene Suharbabhumi either on booking.com or agoda.com.

TripAdvisor reviews – some are good, some are bad – these depends on which building your room is. Always ask rooms with swimming pool views – are the newest and we won’t get disappointed.

Fatboy writes – If you make a booking at this hotel , request a pool side view room which is located in the new section of hotel , pool, bar and restaurant located in new building. I stayed in a so called superior room in old building, service at reception poor had to on 2 occasions remind receptionist breakfast was included in my package and had been paid for and produce print of reservation confirmation of booking before she handed breakfast vouchers over. Room it self had a sagging bed, in need of replacement, broken remote control for aircon, so you couldn’t adjust temp at all, View out window is bad, just built up rubbish at the back no maintenance or up keep of property so keep the curtains closed its obvious management has turned a blind eye and neglected it . Best part of the hotel is the location to airport, the airport transfer there and back and the street side market down the road which has a great variety of thai food stalls at very cheap prices. The best service you will receive is from the driver who picks you up and takes you back to airport, so make sure to sling a few baht his way, if not for him you would probably have to carry your own luggage to the room. This hotel is good for quick layover few hours and or over night.

Mollie says – Ideally located near to the airport but this hotel is the pits. It’s run down and just so dirty. The paint on the walls in all scuffed and dirty there are filthy used flip flops in the room meant to be ‘complimentary’ ants crawled up the bathroom sink. Everything was rough and damaged and dirty. But I was just there waiting for a flight. My main problem was the so called free shuttle bus. Each time I availed of this service (young female on my own in this van). I was hassled by the driver to give a tip. Now I know it’s custom to tip but it’s also my own decision weather I do or not and having him stand in my room staring at me with his hand out even after I said ok thanks that will be all I found appalling and actually freaked me out. Again when he dropped me to the airport he stood in my way and said ‘a little something maybe’ with the hand out again. I just wanted to get away from him so I tipped him again but I was also weary of him and his ways. I ended up spending more on this so called ‘free shuttle’ then a metered taxi would of cost me to Travel the very short distance. Couldn’t wAit to get out of Bangkok after that experience. 3 and half amazing weeks in Thailand tainted by this experience.

Set has a good review – Good shutter service to airport and the driver is on time to pick up us from the hotel but the desk staff not much info to assist when asking any other nearby restaurant/place for us to have our dinner beside the restaurant in the hotel.
Quite a convenience as near with the Tesco & 7-11 shop with walking distance and a wet market for the fruits.
