1. Best Western Plus Windmill Village Hotel 4* – Dog Friendly Hotels Coventry

On the outskirts of Coventry and with easy access to the area’s major roads and the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), the hotel has its own 18-hole golf course and 20 m indoor pool.

In the main hotel building, there are superior rooms with views over the golf course. Alongside the hotel, there are comfortable lodge-style rooms and in the original coaching inn, there are traditional wood-beamed rooms with unique period features.

The great leisure facilities include the 20 m indoor swimming pool, a whirlpool, a steam room, a sauna and a gym which have complimentary use for the guests.

Quick stopover with family. We stayed in a lodge type room. Very handy for the dog with quick access to walking areas. Breakfast was good quality in a smart lounge. Family enjoyed the pool facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel although convenient for Coventry, Birmingham and the N.E.C is located on a dual carriageway with access from one carriageway to the other tedious.

We travelled with our dog who was allowed to stay but with a charge of £15 per night.

Ideal location for visiting family also we have a small dog and it is ideal as we are able to walk the dog with no traffic problems.

Leisure facilities very good and great views of surrounding countryside.

2. The Jacobean Hotel 3* – Pet Friendly Hotels Coventry

The privately owned Jacobean Hotel is set within a 16th century Jacobean farmhouse. It has been designed to combine original character with modern facilities and features free Wi-Fi.

All rooms at The Jacobean Hotel are individually furnished and come equipped with an en suite bathroom featuring complimentary toiletries. Each room also features a TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel offers traditional and contemporary dishes in the restaurant, using locally sourced produce. Guests can enjoy both an a la carte dinner menu and a lighter bar menu.

This traditional hotel in a 16th-century Jacobean farmhouse is 3 miles from Coventry Cathedral and 8 miles from Kenilworth Castle.

Parking and full English breakfast are free, and afternoon tea is offered for a fee. There’s an oak-beamed lounge bar, and a refined restaurant serves classic and contemporary dishes.

The room and decor throughout the hotel was gorgeous. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and there was a great selection of beer in the bar.

Most of all we loved how we could take our dog down to the bar with us for a drink and food. We have already booked again for next year and are looking forward to our stay again.

The location of the hotel is perfect for getting to and from the NEC. The facilities are good if staying with dogs as there is area to walk the dogs.

The hotel was in a great location for the NEC (Crufts in our case). The images on Booking.com show a few lovely rooms that as I understand are newly refurbished.

Our room looked rather more dated than these though still perfectly acceptable for a “Dog friendly” room.
We had the bonus of an additional bed too meaning the room was larger than average.

The Grounds behind the hotel were great for walking the dog too.

. Room was lovely. Clean and well presented with all the essentials I needed.
The hotel is an old building set in lovely grounds so lots of character and old fashioned features. The food here is delicious, well presented and plenty of it.

Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as they can.

This is also dog friendly place in the public bar areas so a popular locals haunt.

With a superb central location, right in the historic centre of the city and just 5 minutes’ walk from Coventry Railway Station, the Ibis Coventry offers modern air-cooled rooms.

The hotel’s excellent location means is just a short stroll from Coventry’s busy shopping areas.

The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham is just 20 minutes away by car or by train.
