2. Gili Eco Villas 4* – Eco Hotels Bali

Gili Eco Villas

Located on Gili Island in Lombok, Gili Eco Villas is a beachfront getaway powered by solar energy. It offers an outdoor pool, massage services, and glass-bottom boat tours.

To ensure its cleanliness, Gili Island has a no car, no motorbike and no dog policy. Gili Eco Villas can be reached via a boat transfer service operating between Bali, Gili Trawangan and Lombok. The journey will take between an hour to 2 hours, 30 minutes depending on the departure point.

The villas at Gili Eco feature furnishings made from recycled teak wood. The living area has a comfortable rattan sofa and each villa has an outdoor shower area.

Gili Eco Villas is a beach front eco-friendly boutique villa located in the northern shore of Gili Trawangan, Lombok. Set along pristine white sandy beach, the villa offers an indulgence of a tropic island life experience like no others. Each of our bungalows and villas are individually designed and tastefully decorated surrounded by tropical garden. With a choice of 1 bedroom bungalow with terrace, 2 bedroom and 3 bedrooms villas with outdoor living room and dining area.
Wake up to our breathtaking sea views stretching so far beyond our white fine sandy beach. Gaze through the crystal-clear water and allow yourself to be mesmerized by the colorful reef fish and beautiful varieties of healthy coral or see some wildlife, pick a coconut, wander and wonder, this is the place where an adventure begins. A stay at Gili Eco Villas is a truly memorable experience.

Gili Eco Villas is perfectly located in the north of Trawangan. It’s very quiet at day and night time but we still had enough choices of good restaurants and even better dive spots close by.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The villas are beautifully designed and contribute to the relaxed feeling.

This is a really nice small villa style hotel. The atmosphere is laid back, there’s lots of space between the villas unlike most of the other hotels, and the gardens and pool area is thoughtfully designed to give shade and there are several outdoor spaces including beachside.

Our villa was really spacious and well set up with an indoor outdoor vibe, and a lovely outside bathroom and shower. The staff are great, really friendly and helpful. We mostly ate here – breakfast, lunch and dinner – the food is good, fresh and nicely done – although we thought the lighter food options for lunch were a bit limited and could have been more imaginative. We looked around at lots of the other hotels as we cycled up and down the Gili T path and visited a few in search of snacks or sunset views and decent coffee – being a coffee lover my main criticism of Gili Eco is that they don’t (yet) offer espresso options. Gili Eco is on the quiet side of the island and was by far the nicest place we came across.

The villa was clean, simple and just wonderful! The natural surroundings were beautiful and the resort made a lot of effort to make it look nicely kept. Not to mention the staff were wonderful especially Evan at reception. The breakfast too was delicious and with a lot of options.

The beach was wonderful, quiet and relaxing. Keep in mind there is a lot of coral so would be good to bring some reef shoes.

We tried out other dinner spots around our area but I have to admit that the best food was at Gili Eco and service was excellent! Also a prime spot to watch the sunset.

We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay on the quieter side of the island. Bikes are available to rent at 50,000IDR per day – and it’s about a 15 min bike ride to the city centre.

The Gili Eco Villas is a great place to spend time if and when you want to travel to Gili T
It has everything you will be looking for.

The villa’s are spacious, clean, half open, have airco, open terrace, great outside shower.
It is also one of the only resorts/properties where accommodations are not directly next to each others. Here you find your privacy at moments you are looking for that quite moment without other guests around you.

At same time if you want to party or see more people you are just within 15 minutes reach of the hottest places of the island.

Snorkeling just in front of the Villa’s is a must do. Probably the best place in the Gili’s to do it. Every day we were lucky to swim with turtles and gzillions of different fishes. Just amazing.
The food is great and the sunset on the beach with a nice cocktail is breathtaking. You just do it over and over every day and enjoy the sunset and views on Mt.Agung (Bali)
Last but not least, staff is very helpful and friendly…just ask and you’ll get it.

Overall a great place that I would highly recommend.

3. Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp – Eco Friendly Hotels Bali

The bungalows are fitted with thatched grass roof and bamboo furnishings. Each features a day bed and a 4-poster bed with mosquito net. Guests enjoy free bottles of mineral water in a cool box. Hot/cold shower facilities and free toiletries are available in the en suite bathroom.

Housing a small library, the beachfront accommodation provides free rental of snorkeling, diving and cycling facilities. Hiking and soft trekking activities can also be arranged.

Overlooking Tanjung Beloam beach and built from recycled materials, this remote all-inclusive lodging is 2.3 km from the picturesque Pink Beach and 3 km from the scenic cape of Tanjung Senang.

Featuring pitched bamboo ceilings and terraces with daybeds and ocean views, the 11 relaxed bungalows offer part open-air bathrooms, tea and coffeemakers, and beds with mosquito nets and luxe linens. There are no TVs and Wi-Fi; air conditioning is available in the evenings only.

Meals, and guided biking and hiking are included, as are snorkeling and kayaking. The lodge features a library and a casual, open-air restaurant.

With two white sand beaches within a 55 ha forestry reserve, Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp is a unique retreat experience and the ultimate luxury hideaway on Lombok’s rugged Tanjung Ringgit peninsula. The beach camp is located 11 km from the nearest village and is off the power grid. Due to the isolated nature of the beach camp, the retreat package includes full room and board for two people.

Amazing place. Secluded, 11 luxury and eco-friendly villas, run masterly by Fanshur Akbar Haikal and his incredibly professional team. Ali, the chef makes food as good as in high-class restaurants in European capitals. Real concern for bringing neighboring communities in, local hires and training. We loved it.

Travelling through local villages on dirt track roads to get to camp highlight its ‘untouched’ location which was just what we were looking for. The rooms are right on the beach, huge, airy and really comfortable and you wake up to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The food was delicious, the service and whole team working at Jeeva Beloam ensured our stay was fun and relaxed. We did the snorkelling and sunset trips and loved going along dirt tracks in the open top jeep to find secluded beaches.

Our early flight to Bali meant we left before breakfast service, the breakfast box prepared for us to eat on the journey was a lovely and unexpected treat.

With just a few tweaks Jeeva Beloam could go from excellent to perfect in our opinion Having soft drinks included in the room rate would have been good, also having a soft drinks mini bar and tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been a welcome addition. Service around afternoon tea and happy hour could be improved. Also with such a fabulous fire pit area the team could do some evening activities to encourage everyone to stay out and continue the beach camp feel into the evening.

The balance between beach camp and luxury eco hotel was just right for us. We would definitely recommend Jeeva Beloam.

Superb eco Spa Hotel. Surroundings amazing. Staff wonderful.
Rooms clean and very comfortable. Good food in restaurant.
Yoga by the pool or in the rainforest a wonderful experience.

Produce is grown and sourced locally and food and beverage choices are extensive for western and traditional choices.
The service is top notch! Absolutely the best experience so far! The staffs were very friendly and attentive. Besides the view, the fact that this hotel is so eco-friendly (no single piece of plastic spotted) was absolutely impressive.
. A quiet retreat in a beautiful setting but what makes it really special is the staff. The service was impeccable and from the restaurant to the reception staff they work tirelessly in making their guests comfortable, nothing is too much trouble.
We really liked the fact that the whole resort is eco-friendly and every aspect is respectful of the environment including growing their own organic produce. Highly recommended!
