The Pulitzer is a 4 stars Boutique Hotel full of light and with a cool and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Located in the heart of Barcelona, just few meters walk form Plaza Catalunya, Las Ramblas and the famous Passeig de Gracia, it is an ideal base for exploring the city. Guests can choose from 91 stylishly decorated rooms, including a unique Suite with a 30 sqm terrace.
The Pulitzer is a real happening place: the rooftop terrace offers the perfect spot for chilling out while enjoying the best live music, its restaurant serves up locally sourced dishes in the slow food tradition and its lobby bar is a vibrant place where locals and visitors meet. The Pulitzer takes sustainability and health very seriously: in 2015 it became a Biosphere certified hotel as well as a Healthia certified hotel.
If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with a cosy vibe, you have found the right place. Yes, the rooms are a bit small but if you need to work or you want to read a book, just skip downstairs to the bar and hop into one of the cosy sofas. You’ll feel right at home!
This hotel is also located on a top location, on only a few steps from the Placa de Catalunya where you can take the metro or get onto a Hop on hop off bus.
Also loved the breakfast area, which reminded me of a hotel I stayed at in Mauritius. The breakfast is simple, but everything is available. Would have expected a bit more local products since this is a boutique hotel. This might actually have been the case, but it is not visible. The bread for example appeared more industrial than freshly bought at a bakery.
The rooms are modern and sober, but everything is available (hairdryer, bath robe, slippers, coffee & tea, minibar) and the bed is great. The green tiled bathroom offers a bath that can also be used as shower.
This boutique hotel is in the heart of Barcelona. La Rambla is 2 blocks away, Placa Catalunya is at the end of the block, and there is a subway station directly across from the front door. The rooftop terrace provides nice views of the city and a green space in the midst of it all.
The receptionist was a young man who was really nice and helpful. And the room was nicely decorated in dark wooden furniture and no carpets! (which I like). The bed and the covers was great to sleep in, the room had several large mirrors and the bathroom was in dark maple and spacious with lovely bath products from Rituals.
The breakfast I have to mention, I was a bit worried that it would be all white bread and ham. But the breakfast selection was really good. Good quality and just the right amount of different items.
And last but not least, try the rooftop bar! It’s so beautiful. There are not really any view from up there as it’s located in the middle of the center, but the hotel makes up for it by decorating it so nicely with wooden furniture and lot’s of green plants and trees.
If you want to stay smack in the middle of Barcelona and treat yourself a little extra, then stay at Pulitzer.

Staying in a suite, we enjoyed delicious food on the half-board package. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent, and, providing you’re not a fussy eater, there are plenty of options to choose from each night without eating the same thing. There is a little town with shops and restaurants just five minutes away though, for anyone wishing to eat outside the hotel from time to time
Our bedroom was so comfy, with a very large bed and jacuzzi bath just under a window so you can enjoy the view (what a view!) while you soak in the tub. There’s also a big TV which has a USB port, and the blinds did not let in any light – perfect for lazy mornings.
The staff – from spa to waiters to receptionists to porters – were all amazing, and really went the extra mile when we needed any help. If management is reading this, please see who was working 6-9th May as they were all exceptional!
And finally the star of the show – those baths. We enjoyed a daily circuit round and instantly felt any tension and stress melt away. They are really something to see and feel. The treatments offered are also top notch.
Wifi great too and doing the walk to the top of the mountain was hard, but so worth it.

We are a family eco-boutique hotel located in the centre of Barcelona, at only 2 minutes walking distance from Las Ramblas. We have a “green” philosophy and we have achieved the Gold Leed Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System ). Decoration is fresh, mostly white with eco products and natural furniture. Our beds are organic and hand made “Naturalmat and Coco-mat” beds.
Located in an amazing location, within minutes from the high street La Rambla, with number of coffee shops and restaurants around. The Hotel itself is very clean, eco friendly and of a great design/decoration where simplicity prevails. The stuff is very friendly, helpful and flexible with the check out time.
Great location for all of the main tourist sites and a really nice quirky hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean. Free coffee and cake every morning and a glass of eco wine in the evening. A little noisy at night but not a real problem. Great restaurant nearby.
The room was one of my favorite rooms ever – with the only caveat being the street noise. We were upgraded to have two balconies overlooking the door, and loved having the doors wide open when we were in the room. We very much appreciated the fact that the hotel is eco–friendly and has very simple, comfortable decor. It also had plenty of light throughout the day, anytime that we stopped through.
My only caution is that light sleepers may want to bring earplugs! Because it is overlooking narrow European streets and happens to be on a relatively well-traveled street, there is a lot of noise echoing around at night. It tends to wind down largely by about 11:00 / 11:30, but then there are spurts of noise still throughout the night.
There are several restaurants within easy walking distance: we had fantastic tapas at Bar
Lobo, a creative/yummy brunch at El Jardin del Eden, and out-of-this-world chocolates at El Choco.
I have stayed before at this fantastic place and the hotel and stay always exceeds my expectations. Perfectly located with easy access to great areas and Plaza Catalunya , this Leeds certified hotel is truly a find. Staff is extremely helpful and always pleasant.
The hotel is so full of charm, the eco friendly decor is amazing, and the beds are truly the most comfortable ever. I so highly recommend this hotel.
he hotel is spotless, eco–friendly, tastefully decorated, and has a hint of a fresh lavender scent. There is a common room on the main floor with a coffee machine, sitting area, and small library. You can purchase juice or water from the fridge. And there are plaques with positive sayings in several locations. The vibe is relaxed, peaceful, and uplifting. Totally unique.
Our room was on the second floor, facing the street, yet there was no noise. The room was large, bed was very comfortable, the shower was nice and hot, and the air conditioning worked well.
I highly recommend this hotel and would give it 10 stars if I could. It is far beyond the ordinary.
