The hotel is conveniently located by the port within a walking distance, it’s meticulously clean, and beyond comfortable with Coco Mat bedding. The breakfast was remarkable from homemade marmalades, pastries, and herbed pies served by friendly, Marilena. The best cappuccino and frappes we had during our vacation in Greece.

We stayed at the Ikion Eco Boutique hotel last month after booking MONTHS in advance and let me tell you, it was fantastic. From check-in to check-out it was flawless. We received a free upgrade from Junior suite to Suite.
The suite itself was HUGE and well-equipped with a large bathroom, living space, separate bedroom, and mini kitchen. They’ve also stocked it with all the essentials including a loaded beach bag, an adapter/charger, etc. They’ve really thought of everything!
The hotel staff were all super friendly. We felt like we were friends by the end of our stay. Ioanna the owner and Ioanna manage the reception and were so helpful! They took care of everything we needed/wanted.
The location is perfect with a nice view to the sea from the balcony. In line with the island’s spirit, the hotel is genuinely eco–friendly in all respects.
What is really top though is the personalised breakfast with a variety of traditional options with fresh ingredients -like cheese and spinach pies, freshly baked cakes and other desserts, fruit salads, all sorts of eggs etc.- prepared only for you at the desired time every day. That was super spoiling 🙂
Ikion Eco Boutique Hotel is situated in a beautiful location, a 5 minute walk (300 meters) from the shops, bars and restaurants at Patitiri harbor, on a quiet headland above the rocky coast line. The hotel building is very attractive, and recently refurbished, with wonderful sea-and-hill views from all rooms and from the breakfast terrace. Breakfasts were exceptional – especially the homemade pies, suits and other local food.
The rooms are very comfortable and we were impressed with the Modern Greek sense of design and luxury touch of the totally renovated rooms. We were also pleased with the fabulous, clean, modern and also renovated bathrooms, with glass bath cabin and powerful, hot shower (not always the case in Greece). The details of the services with full amenities and the daily cleaning and linen change were also incredible.
We enjoyed sleeping on mattresses and pillows made of natural materials (Coco-Mat brand!!!), and the view from our room balcony was breathtaking!!!!
The owner, Ioanna, and the staff, however, are equally high caliber as the facilities – they are genuinely warm, friendly, hospitable and helpful people who made us feel very welcome as at home.

2. Native Eco Villas 4* – Eco Hotels Santorini Greece

I could not recommend this villa more, it’s absolutely perfect, the pictures matched the booking pictures. It was so clean, modern, FANTASTIC views for that cliff dropping scenery, sunset can be seen from the villa great to! This place is everything you are looking for and more. Everything about this place is just perfect even the cleaning service is 10/10 and they come every day and didn’t just give it a brush through they completely blitzed the place. The breakfast every day was spot on and fab along with the man who delivers it.
The Native Cave House is Located close to the Native Eco Villas but a separate, independent single traditional Cave House with its own terrace, including spectacular views on the Caldera and its own outdoor Jacuzzi.
It is located in the most quiet part of Santorin in the village of Imerovigli. The place itself is very spacious with two double beds very big living room and dining room area with a fully equipped, vast kitchen. It is the perfect place for a family with kids or two couples.
The management is very friendly and will accommodate all your wishes and needs. We were being served breakfast in the mornings, which was brought to us within minutes after we called for it. For all the other meals you either go to one of the many close by restaurants or you enjoy your own cooking in the kitchen. Plenty of Supermarkets are near by to buy all the supplies.
The place is very clean and secluded. You will feel very much at home and escape the vast numbers of tourist who frequent the island during its peak season month.

The hotel: Beautifully restored stone masonry buildings-craftsmanship paying attention to every last detail; terraces on multiple levels, each with its own character—views to the sea, the mountains, or the garden. Secluded, shady corners to enjoy in peace; a nicely-appointed garden growing local herbs and vegetables. Spacious, bright, quiet, cool, meticulously manicured rooms provide shelter after a day under the hot sun on the beach or exploring the beautiful inland villages. We enjoyed the balcony, especially at night when we could enjoy the starlit sky, listening to the crickets and feeling the light, cool breeze.
The staff: We can’t say enough about the friendly staff who worked very hard to tend to our every need: they kept the place in an immaculate state, they served us a multi-course, exquisite breakfast, that in all my years of travel I have never experienced before–it took us a couple of relaxed hours to finish it!
A little more expensive than the other lovely small hotels we stayed in but boy do you get what you pay for! The hotel is beautiful. A restored tower with outbuildings, stylishly decorated and equipped with high quality fittings. Our room had doors leading onto a private little patio with magnificent views over the sea and dramatic cliffs in the distance. Big, comfortable bed, great pillows, large shower area and lovely products ( bought some of the same at Athens airport yesterday as I liked them so much). They had even thought to provide a clothes airer on the patio for our beachwear and towels. Excellent wifi in our room.
The hospitality is superb. We were given a map of the Mani and really useful advice on the best beaches, walks, tavernas and sights to visit. Even in early July we were directed to beaches that we had entirely to ourselves, with crystal clear water to swim in. We were lent beach towels, a parasol and snorkels and masks. After a day out in the heat we were met with refreshments on our return, and treats would appear daily in our room.
Breakfast couldn’t be better. Delicious foods, most locally sourced and presented immaculately. We had different dishes every morning, with great coffee and freshly squeezed juice.
Fell in love with the Mani. Dramatic mountains, beautiful coves and beaches, and so peaceful and relaxing. Hope to be back very soon!

This hotel has the best view I’ve ever seen in a hotel. You could say the view is almost 360 degrees because it is all surrounded my magnificent mountains and forests and because of its elevation and position the view is unhindered! During the sunset the mountains take a pinkish color and it’s such an unbelievable heavenly view!
The hotel features a luxury lobby/cafe/bar area with a wooden roof, very large, open and with unhindered view. You really enjoy sitting there any time of the day whether it’s for coffee or a drink.
We really valued the hotel restaurant. It is an excellent restaurant really both in terms of food and service and the location of course.
The slowly cooked wild pork was amazing! The tsoublekas, the burgers, the lamb ribs, everything was great! After having our dinner at the porch we moved to the sitting area where we were treated with complimentary espresso and desert (delicious chocolate pie) – what more to ask? We also had a glass of fine cognac a little later and that completed a wonderful day.
The hotel rooms are very nicely decorated, mostly with wood and stone. They are spacious and have quality furniture. The kids loved their attic-like space where they slept! The bed covers could be better. The mattress was pretty good, I found the pillows quite high, took me a while to get used to.
The breakfast is one of the strongest points of this hotel. Everything is handmade, with local products, fresh and healthy.
There’s a wide variety to choose from especially on the sweets side. There were also 3-4 different kinds of pies every day which I always find to be the best that greek breakfast has to offer. I want to thank the lady at the breakfast who was so polite and willing to serve us in any way.
I also want to thank Vasili – one of the hotel owners – for his hospitality and willingness to help us plan our daily activities. His unpretended friendliness is a quality you rarely find especially from a hotel owner.
The only thing missing from this hotel is an indoor pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Fortunately they have the space already allocated and plans to add a spa to the hotel facilities. Can’t wait for this hotel to become a mountain spa resort.
