In the middle of the desert this eco lodge pops up. From the first moment of arrival till check out, has been a mind blowing experience! Great bungalows, excellent food and wonderful staff! Kite Center is very well organized with professional, happy kite instructors.
I have just spent a week in a most beautiful and comfortable ecolodge. The setting is magical, the bungalows are very comfortable. The staff are professional helpful and friendly. The food was of an exceptional standard.
The kite center just a few minutes walk down the hill from the bungalows was top class and very well organised.
The bungalows are comfortable, well-isolated and spacious. You feel like home in the bungalow, whereas outside is a savage desert. The hotel operates with ecological standards, it is built with wood, the electricity is produced by solar panels, the wastewater is treated to water greenery in the hotel and they don’t use plastic bottles and plastic straws. At the same time as being an ecological resort, this hotel is very comfortable and with a class. The cuisine is semi-gastronomic with very careful service.
We have visited other places in Dakhla and there is nothing like La Tour d’Eole. Most of the hotels in the area are like camping.
For me as a vegan, the biggest worry was the food, I was afraid I would have to eat salads during the entire stay. But to my surprise, the hotel turned out to be vegan-friendly! Such a big variety for the breakfast, I loved the fact they offer homemade granola and avocado toast, just like in a London brunch place. For dinner they offer vegan options, which are so healthy, unique and gastronomic as well. I learned that Catherine Sergii, a vegan influencer from London, is the author of the vegan menu and made it so delicious using only organic ingredients. I have been to most of the vegan spots in London and Paris, and the menu by Catherine is at the top.
Overall, I have really enjoyed my stay, I was very comfortable, had amazing food and very attentive service. I will definitely come back for more kitesurfing lesson. The Ocean Academy is top! Well organized with a great team of instructors.
La Tour d’Eole is clearly a high-end hotel, offering impeccable services in all areas. Rooms are incredibly comfortable with a stunning view, a beautiful bathroom, pleasant bedding, lovely towels and offering you a lot of privacy.
The overall food experience is spectacular, with gourmet dishes prepared by their Chef. He will cook you amazing recipes every day, at lunch and at dinner, taking advantage of what the region has to offer. Their skilled barman will also amaze you with his cocktail ideas!
The staff is also very welcoming, professional and will make sure you enjoy your stay.

Great Customer Service, Friendly Manager, Great Receptionist, Walk with water (it’s not free), Walk with a flannel/wash cloth – not provided, Eco-Friendly, Farm and Relaxing.
If you are stressed at work and you need time to de-stress and re-examine your life. This is the hotel for it. It’s tranquil. I was possibly the loudest guest as I played music a few times in my room. I had time to read self-help books, I had time to work, time to meditate, catch the sun and begin the novel I’ve been planning for months. Hopefully by the time I go back to work I will be able to deal with anything thrown at me calmly. It is a eco-relaxing hotel.
We have chosen the Fellah Hotel in Tassoultante, just outside of Marrakech, mainly to escape the busy life of the Medina. We had a Junior Suite with a large balcony overviewing the swimming pool which was fabulous. Our two dinners by the poolside were also fantastic! The food was very good (have a look at our pictures of the first dinner). Furthermore, the gardens where the cactuses are predominant, were simply amazing to walk among them and even photograph them. In conclusion, our stay at the Fellah Hotel was just perfect.
Beautiful concept, eco, artistic and intellectual. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The food is delicious. The receptionists are very helpful and polite.
This eco hotel is simply stunning. At the heart of the hotel is a very small farm – our daughter loved petting the donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits every day. We guess that they must grow a lot of the food they serve in the restaurant as the grounds are landscaped with a myriad of vegetables, fruits and herbs growing throughout the estate. The restaurant served great food, we noticed it was ranked highly in Morocco’s top 50 restaurants and was very reasonably priced, as was the local wine. The staff were very friendly and were very accommodating of our daughter.
Fella Hotel is not in the main center, a rental car is recommended.
My trip/ stay was with a group of friends. We had a villa with a private pool which was important to decompress with friends.
-The grounds are beautiful, very Instagram photo friendly.
-Great for large groups of friends. Event friendly.
Wafa and her staff did amazing job with the birthday party the food was delicious and the entertainment was epic. It was an amazing true Moroccan experience in a beautiful intimate party setting the Villa 5.
-The hamman experience was lovely.
-The hotel is family-friendly but it’s easy to escape the families and the chaos they bring.
-The private pool is refreshing and but a bit chilly (Pools are not very heated). No problem for me but I can see how it might be too chilly for others.
-There’s the main pool for all the guests. Which I saw was used for more lap swimming and family swim time.
-The menus can use some work, the choices felt limited. And by 9:30 am most of the food was gone.
-My suite definitely needed more electricity outlets/plugs.

3. Le Village du Toubkal 4* – Eco Friendly Hotels Morocco

Set at the foot of Mount Toubkal, this resort offers a terrace with panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. On-site spa facilities include a traditional hammam and massages with essential oils.
The suites at Le Village du Toubkal Suites combine a Moroccan and Berber style. With air conditioning in each one, they also have a private balcony and a seating area.
On the terrace or in the dining room, a continental breakfast is provided every morning. You can also sample Moroccan teas in the lounge or try traditional cuisine with local influences in the restaurant.
Surrounded by the Atlas mountains in Toubkal National Park, this relaxed and secluded hotel is set at the start of mountain hiking trails and is 9 km from the village of Imlil.
Featuring carved walnut furniture and thatched ceilings, the rustic rooms offer free Wi-Fi, minibars, and tea and coffeemakers. Upgraded quarters add mountain views, while suites come with lounges and balconies. There’s also an apartment with a kitchen, a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows. Room service is available.
Complimentary breakfast is served in a casual restaurant with a rooftop terrace. There’s also a bright lounge.
The word ‘unique’ is often overused in lodging reviews, but ask yourself when is the last time you rode a mule up to a kasbah in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains for an overnight (or longer) stay? You can drive, taxi, or bus to the Berber village of Imlil, but from there to Kasbah du Toubkal it’s hike or mule (either way, mules carry your luggage) because you can’t drive your car to the kasbah. And just as well, because once there, you are in a different world – quiet, serene, secluded, semi-primitive, yet with nearly every necessary convenience and comfort, all in well managed eco-friendly surroundings.
After stepping through the kasbah massive gate and working your way up through the impressive multi level gardens, you’ll be treated at reception by the friendly local Berber staff serving traditional mint tea along with a warm welcome. No cookie-cutter hotel, you’ll find genuine hospitality is stressed over frilly hotel services (don’t expect an evening turn down or overnight shoe polish), yet all your needs will be met. Room types are wide ranging – from dormitory style with shared facilities to comfortable private rooms. Ours was a large deluxe room in its own casa-like building with private bath, large bed, and a terrace with mountain views. Toasty in-floor heating was welcomed on a chilly late April night at an elevation near 6,000 feet.
The well tended gardens are a skillful mix of fruit trees, herbs, and ornamentals woven together with pathways and paved areas perfect for simply relaxing, soaking up the sun, honing your artistic painting skills, taking in the spectacular mountain scenery, or merely enjoying the cats at play.
Traditional high mountain Moroccan style dinners (not always included in the room price) and breakfast (included) are served in a cozy, candle-lit dining area. Expect a limited menu but more than satisfactory food and service. Be sure to notify the staff of any special dietary requests ahead. You may bring your own wine, but out of respect for the local Berber community none is offered on the menu. Room rates may seem a bit steep, but you will be enjoying a truly unique, perhaps once-in-a-lifetime, high mountain experience that’s well worth the splurge.
