1. Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay 3*– Eco Hotels Tagaytay

Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay
Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay

Located in Tagaytay, Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay offers non smoking air conditioned rooms. Free public parking is available on site.

Each room comes with a flat-screen cable TV and a ceiling fan. Some rooms come with either a lake or garden view. Private bathrooms are equipped with shower and bidet. Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay provide towels, while complimentary toiletries are available upon request.

Opposite the Ayala Malls Serin shopping center, this relaxed hotel in a building made from repurposed wood and bricks is 70 km from Manila Central Business District and 3 km from Sky Ranch amusement park. It’s 11 km from the shores of Taal Lake.

Straightforward rooms have flat-screen TVs; some offer lake views. Family rooms add extra beds, sleeping up to 4 guests. Kids age 9 and under stay at no charge with an adult.

Regular happy hours offer limited free drink. There’s a Mexican restaurant. Breakfast (surcharge) is served on a rooftop terrace featuring lake views. A shuttle to and from Manila is offered (fee).

We knew from other reviews going in to bring our own toiletries and that the room is small. What I wished the room had was someplace to hang clothes. There were just two hooks on the back of the door, no other storage in the compact room. The bathroom (shower/toilet) is also small, but functional. Overall, the room was adequate and the lake view stunning.

The staff were all very pleasant, kind and helpful. The place is pet-friendly, including a friendly white maltese that roamed the building.

The weekend we stayed there the other guests were all young couples, one with small children and one with pet dogs.

The restaurant next door, Pamana, is fantastic. We had dinner there each night. The hotel is across the street from Waltermart mall and a short walk from the rotonda.

. The room is kinda small and is really just right for 2 person. The outside view are orchids. The next day, we moved to the lake view room. I love this room cause you can see in the window the taal lake. A very relaxing view. Lake view room is also bigger compared to the garden view room. So if you are going to stay at this hotel I recommend you choose the Lake View.

In terms of accessibility, I would give this place a 5 star. Just in front of the Ayala Malls Serin and beside the Pamana resto. Dreamland cafe is just 10 mins walk whole Bag of Beans is just 8 mins walk. From this hotel, skyranch is also just 5 mins drive.

Staffs are so accommodating. Specially the one in their cafe. 🙂 the food in the cafe is also great. They are serving a big bowl of na nachos for only 250 pesos.

What I love the most in the place is that they have an available games in the lobby that their guest can enjoy. They have uno, sungka, scrabble and jenga.

Also two thumbs up for the bamboo toothbrush. They also have refill for shampoo, bath gel, lotion and conditioner.

2. Hotel H2O 4* – Eco Friendly Hotels Manila Philippines

hotel h2o manila
hotel h2o manila

Part of the waterfront Manila Ocean Park complex next to Manila Bay, this sleek hotel is 7 minutes’ walk from the Rizal Park and 3 km from Paco train station.

Relaxed rooms have Wi-Fi access, flat-screens, and tea and coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms add in-room aquariums; some have floor-to-ceiling windows. Upgraded rooms offer bay views. Suites come with living rooms, while club-level rooms provide exclusive lounge access. Room service is offered, and children age 12 and under stay at no charge.

There’s a casual restaurant and lounge, a bar with bay views, and a coffee shop, as well as an eco spa, a gym and a hot tub. Valet parking is offered.

Hotel H2O is the first and only marine-themed urban resort hotel in the Philippines. Opened on April 10, 2010, the hotel is part of the Manila Ocean Park complex in the Philippine capital’s historic Rizal Park. It has been designated as the official residence for guests and patrons of Manila Ocean Park.
Every part of Hotel H2O has a connection to its namesake element, water – from its next-door proximity to Manila Ocean Park; to its location on the edge of Manila Bay; to its signature aquarium wall that adorns the inner guest rooms and grand ballroom; to the seafood specialties of its main F&B outlet, Makan Makan Asian Food Village; to the healing, negative-ion treatments of its wellness center, Zenyu Eco Spa. All these make Hotel H2O perhaps the most visually distinctive urban property in the country today.
The room was actually quite spacious and very cozy. We had fun watching the fishes swim around the aquarium when we were both bored and had nothing else to do. The food was great. The in-room food came from their Makan-Makan Restaurant. The choices for the in-room service is limited so if you want more choices, better go down to the Restaurant instead. We both enjoyed their Eco Spa as well. I particularly loved their essential oils.

Room: It was clean and very cozy. They provided us complete set of toiletries. The aquarium on the wall was really cool. My son enjoyed reading the fun facts about the fishes and counting them on the aquarium. There were no windows but that was ok for us. It made us feel like we were in a different world.

Zenyu Eco Spa: We scheduled our hotbed treatment at night so that we can relax after hours of strolling around in Manila Ocean Park. The staff were friendly. They gave us yukata to change into. The hotbed was a new experience for us and we enjoyed it.

Room Service: Large servings of delicious foods. We ordered braised beef, spaghetti with meatballs, fried chicken, club sandwich, and siopao.

Breakfast buffet: This was in Makan Makan, the same restaurant providing the room service food, but the buffet was a letdown. We ate carbonara, scrambled egg, pancake, congee, miso soup, lemon chicken. They were bland. The only delicious food during breakfast was the bread pudding.

Water conservation guidelines are provided and a copy of the tourist’s guide for being a responsible traveler can be found in all hotel rooms.

s you enter the Hotel you are greeted with the biggest smiles and a very warm hello……I knew right then that I will be taken care of for the next couple of days. The room was spacious, clean and with all the little amenities which you need. I like the Bathroom, clean and spotless. Good point was the note on the mirror reminding guests to not waste water and take care of our nature.

Sadly that we forget that sometimes. The whole Hotel is very ECO oriented. I was happy to do my little share by saving water, close the air-con when leaving the room, hang the towel as you can use them again …..little things here and there ……it adds up 🙂 A very pleasant stay, I was taken care of very well and reminded that …..my action do count….. will be back.

The room service, housekeeping are excellent. It means from reception down to room service is so AMAZING. The environment is eco-friendly and a very quiet place who values for peace. They have 10 event-function rooms-halls with high ceiling & restaurant with own garden of veggies & herbs.

Very delicious and healthy foods. The politeness and the sweet smiles of the staff, the ambiance, the foods, the rooms, the function rooms, the wifi and many more, this place is a highly recommend for any kind of events.

The resort itself was very nice, clean and eco friendly. The shopping mall, called the district is walking distance but if you want to go to Bacolod, you can catch the jeepney for P8.00 just outside the resort.

Last week we had a wonderful family outing in this resort. Prices are standing to reason, hospitable staff and the resort offers “delish” food. Applause to Nature’s Village Resort for being in the TOP 10 Most Eco-Friendly Hotels in the World. Keep up the good work!

Adjacent to a forest, this beachfront resort uses composting and filtered rainwater, and is 13 km from El Nido Airport. It’s a 1-minute walk from the closest beach.

Laid-back villas offer balconies or terraces, free Wi-Fi, flat-screens, DVD players and iPod docks. All have low-flow toilets and showers, plus safes and mini fridges. Pangulasian Island is El Nido Resorts’ eco-luxury island hideaway in Bacuit Bay, El Nido, Palawan. The resort is set fronting a pristine beach and against a backdrop of tropical forest. Also known as the “Island of the Sun”, Pangulasian has breathtaking views of both the sunrise and sunset. Frolic in the 750-meter stretch of white sand beach and be amazed by the marine sanctuary right at its doorstep. Discover diverse flora and fauna thriving in its forest.Discerning guests will be treated to luxurious amenities and impeccable and personalized service at Pangulasian Island.
The resort offers a total of 42 deluxe accommodations built with contemporary Filipino and cutting edge “green” design. Resort facilities include a boutique, library, restaurant and bar at the Clubhouse, an infinity pool with beach bar, gym, spa, hiking trail with view deck, Scuba Shack and marine sports center. Located just minutes away are vibrant coral reefs and El Nido Resorts’ Beach Clubs.

The rooms are massive and private. You are provided with all the eco-friendly bathroom necessities you need during your stay including shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, dental goodies and razer.

The best part about this resort is the that the beach is at your door step and you don’t have to compete with other guests for day beds. My partner and I were very fortunate to have a stayed during a time when the beach seemed empty most days, granted we were at the opposite end of the club house. The staff here are incredibly friendly as well, from the groundskeepers to the room attendants through to the wait staff and activities officer.

The island is central to other smaller islands and its sister resorts which makes it ideal for island hopping in el-nido. You can visit miniloc and lagen resorts at a small cost, but guests at miniloc and lagen cannot visit pangulasian. Pangulasian is truly your private island getaway. Aside from island hopping, you have to attempt the early morning and afternoon hike to the viewing deck. It is quite difficult but it is worth the hike. You get an unobstructed view of the sunset, the best place on the island to take all your sunset photos.

I love that this resort is eco friendly and briefs the guests about the wildlife that resides within the resort. Our room and bath area are very spacious. The canopy villa comes with a bathtub. We have snacks refilled everyday. We also have complimentary water and coffee. Hats and slippers and bayong bags are also provided. I love the super big hat! Make sure that doors are closed because the monkeys might come inside your room and steal food. Do not try to touch them as they can become aggressive. Other than that they are really harmless if left alone. Breakfast buffet is really good and has plenty of choices.

This eco– friendly environment has gorgeous views of crystal clear water teaming with sea life and coral in the island’s reef. The island is home to wonderful wildlife including monkeys, monitor lizards, colorful birds ,and squirrels.

The service and staff are impeccable serenading you as you arrive by boat to this secluded destination. The staff greets you with a wave, a smile , a song and a lei . Also a cold tropical drink- yum.

We were escorted to our ocean front air conditioned villas with wonderful outdoor lounging porch. The room is spacious and views the beach and open from your bed. Fresh fruit daily is placed in your room including mangoes, bananas, and green oranges.

The beach villa was beautiful and spacious, well appointed and looking new. While there wasn’t a bathtub, the shower was spacious.
Since the resort is on its own island, there are limited options for dining. There’s the pool bar/restaurant and also the restaurant at the main clubhouse pls in-room dining.
The island is very eco-friendly and focused on preserving the beauty of Bacuit Bay. There’s a briefing on the eco-practices of the resort as well as a guide to the flora and fauna on the island.
There are a lot of activities that are complementary with the stay. There’s a thriving reef 20 meters from the beachfront perfect for snorkelling. Don’t miss out on the island hopping where they take you by outrigger to the Cathedral Cave and also let you do a little spelunking on one of the islands then bring you to the Snake Island (where there are no snakes!). There’s also a tour of the Big and Small Lagoon on another island in the bay where you can kayak… Each day there’s a hike up the top most point of Pangulasian Island where you can catch either the sunrise or sunset. This is a challenging hike for the uninitiated but well worth it for the views.
All in all we loved the Pangulasian Island Resort and will definitely plan an eventual return.

Amazing Astoria Palawan experience with the best spot at palawan which is nature friendly and eco-dynamic place! Fabulous amenities with different choice of food especially during our breakfast. Who did our day best of the best in truly filipino world class hospitality. To Mr. Ollie Atienza and Kevin John Cawaling.. Rene Sulaga thank you so much for the kindness and very generous to us. We really appreciate and we will definitely comeback!

This is a meticulously designed eco-friendly resort. There are only a little over 100 rooms and suites sprawled on a 5-hectare mango orchard 60 kilometers north of the city center of Puerto Princesa. This self contained resort has a water purification system, a waste water treatment facility and the roofs of two of its buildings, one is a conference hall and the other that looks like an employees quarters are adorned with solar panels.

Inside the room, you’ll never see the bulky air-con unit hanged on the wall or the noisy window-type, but a neatly ceiling concealed unit typical of a high rise 5-star hotels. Some wall claddings are made of recycled pieces of lumber. The floors are plain cement finished and bathroom flooring is topped with flat river stones, similar to those that can be found on the beach. In other rooms though, where other friends stayed, the floors are covered with ceramic tiles. At the back of the villas, there you’ll see that they are using energy efficient Inverter air-cons and air-source heat pumps. Getting around the complex is by electric tricycles.

By the way, there’s the water theme park at the southwest side of resort, with the wave pool and big slides as the main attraction.

The Astoria Palawan provides travellers a totally different experience. Anyone looking for a perfect get-away to enjoy an eco-friendly resort nestled in a 6 hectare mango grove facing the sea will find it quite relaxing. Guestrooms are built with raw wood material that resembles a modern Log cabin. 4-rooms comprise one cluster. Perfect for families or friends who want to be together. There are no stairs to climb. All beachfront cabanas are one story structure that contributes to the natural environment of Palawan.

Read a book under shady mango trees with mangoes ready to drop onto your lap.
Ride a bike along the waterfront and enjoy the sunset or simply do nothing !
The infinity pool took center-stage against the backdrop of mango trees along the beach.
Room was bright and cheerful. Spacious, vibrant and Chic !

Highly recommended for small groups of friends, family reunions, very romantic for honeymooners.who wants to spend more time together on their own with no relatives tagging along.
