Wine tasting upon check-in, friendly staff, eco-friendly cleaning options, trendy club upstairs. Very cool!! I can’t stress this enough; if you want to pamper yourself, grab a room here and enjoy the attentive and informed staff. Let them take care of everything for you and let yourself relax.
Stayed in the King Bed water view, which also came with a large sofa-bed couch, which gave a lot of space to work, sleep, and relax. My only piece of feedback on the room is that the walls do seem a little thin – it’s easy to hear other guests next door if they are talking louder than normal. Also, it would have been great if the TVs were equipped with some sort of entertainment connection to streaming like Hulu, Netflix, etc like other hotels have. Rooms have outlets in a lot of locations so it’s pretty convenient to charge what you need.
Location cannot be beat! Only a few blocks walk from Pike’s Place market as well as Capitol Hill for food. Would definitely want to come back again.
Great stay at the hotel, there’s an Amazon Go store right next door, walking distance to the Pike Place Market, Gum Wall. There’s a Starbucks right around the corner, Walgreens and Target are right down the road just in case you’ll need to buy something. Very nice and quiet hotel. Did not take advantage of the free beers/wines offer, but the coupons were offered during check-in. In-n-out privilege with the garage using the room key.
I have stayed at Motif on many occasions and their staff cannot be beat. Immediately you feel like family and they always go above and beyond to insure your needs are met. Their rooms are so comfortable and welcoming with amazing views of Puget Sound.
Their restaurant has wonderfully delicious selections and a cool upbeat atmosphere! It is conveniently located 3 blocks from Pike’s Place Market, a mile from the Space Needle, and a half mile from Smith Tower, the piers, and the Seattle Sky Wheel! Stay at Motif when you visit Seattle!!

I opted for the Hyatt at Olive 8, which is a little further out from the ‘busy blocks’ which suited my sister & I perfectly. However, it really is only a few blocks over from the key shopping area & Pike’s Place. We never felt that the walk was too far & eventually decided that we preferred this area than some other areas we explored – personal preference though!
The hotel was clean & the staff are very friendly. We managed to check-in early as our room was ready – the room was clean, the beds were comfortable & we love the eco-amenities. We were also lucky to get a city-view room on the 10th floor. We ate at the restaurant (Urbane) for a few breakfasts & in the evening for drinks & bar food – all of it was delicious, locally sourced foods & wines & the staff were very attentive.
We used the pool & jacuzzi a couple of times in the evening, which was a nice way to relax after a long day exploring the city.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our 8 nights & would definitely go back again.
Hyatt at Olive 8 is a great eco friendly hotel located within walking distance to many of Seattle’s sites! They have the best tasting tap water there was no need for bottled. The restaurant/bar is also a nice spot, I got the Beecher’s Mac & Cheese with crab and it was heavenly!
This is my favorite place to stay for my frequent business trips to Seattle. Centrally located, upscale hotel. Rooms are roomy and stocked with water each evening. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I also appreciate the fact that the hotel values being eco-friendly.
Big room, big comfortable bed, and all very clean. It’s an eco aware hotel, so no unwanted, unused extras like sewing kits. But good toiletries provided, including a lot of unscented, skin-friendly types. Good shower with a filter to remove the chlorine from water. Friendly staff. Great location too – Pike Street market downtown is just 10 minutes’ walk away. Capitol Hill is just a few minutes the other way.
Absolutely recommend this hotel to any and all, regardless of your reason for travel (personal vacay/business). We thoroughly enjoyed a 5-night stay at the Olive 8 and are eager to return next time we are in the Seattle area! The hotel was beautiful, clean, updated and we really appreciated the green/eco-friendly initiatives.
Very spacious guest rooms and bathrooms as well! Location wise, I believe was perfect. About .5 miles from Pike Place Market and less for downtown shopping. Close proximity to Capitol Hill, walking distance if you pack comfortable shoes! The hotel staff was very friendly, check in and out was seamless. If you are thinking of choosing this hotel for your stay in the Seattle area I definitely recommend! Cannot say enough good things about this property.
Very modern, eco-friendly hotel. Didn’t feel like a standard Hyatt, which was nice for a change. Entry and lobby felt more like a boutique hotel. Everything seemed very up to date. Coffee shop in the lobby was terrific, with good coffee (as you’d expect in Seattle), and tasty breakfast treats.
Room was large, clean, and modern. Lots of space, immaculate. The floors are relatively small, so not a lot of walking to get to your hotel. Being on a high floor was nice, though there wasn’t really any view of the water or mountains. Bathroom was also very nice and modern, though it had one of those showers that doesn’t have a door to close it all the way, which I’m not a big fan of in general. Clean mini-fridge and coffee area.
Service was uniformly friendly and helpful. Didn’t have a chance to check out the spa, pool, or restaurant, which all looked very nice.
Location was convenient, a bit higher on the hill in downtown Seattle, near the freeway. Right next to some high-end shopping and a nice mall with lots of good food options. Lots of nice retail stores in the immediate area. A bit of a longer walk to Pike Place Market and the waterfront, but Seattle’s downtown is pretty compact overall, so the walk is pretty easy.
Overall a very nice hotel. Would happily stay here again.

The Maxwell House is a fun and funky hotel conveniently located in Queen Anne, close to many great eateries (like Citizen Coffee) and attractions (the Museum of Pop Culture and the Space Needle). The individual comforters are great, as are the afternoon cupcakes, the free cruiser bikes, and the delicious-smelling (and eco-friendly) toiletries. The staff, both front of house and back of house, are all upbeat and friendly. Oh, and the bar food is legitimately good (especially the pizza).

Eco friendly hotel with hardwood floors which seemed great until guest above us stomped around in the middle of the night, giving me a new appreciation for carpeting in hotel rooms. Otherwise a lovely hotel. Free parking and complimentary shuttle service to major tourist areas. Fun pizza place with bar in the lobby. Clean room and comfy bed. Five minute walk to Space Needle.
