Conveniently located in a quiet area of the Old Town, Eco friendly Hotel Dalia provides comfortable accommodation for both business and leisure travellers. Railway station and the most interesting attractions are just a few steps away. Dalia offers accommodation in stylish 3* and 4* rooms, gourmet restaurant, summer terrace with a fountain, charging station for electric vehicles and professional services. Friendly and helpful staff contribute to the pleasant family atmosphere.

This hotel is super cute, has great decor, friendly & helpful staff, a wonderful breakfast buffet and is very close to Old Town Kosice. There are many places within walking distance, from this hotel and the price for what you get is worth it.

Hotel has a nice quiet position close to a park and city center. Hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel focuses on ecology since many years. Just the equipment is quite old, not maintained in the best way and I had to shower in very cold water. Also in some rooms you can not open a window. In general, I was still satisfied, because I saw genuine interest in eco solutions and how their customers feel. Free welcome drink was included in the price for my room.

I was also pleasantly surprised by many environmentally friendly activities and how they´re try to engage guests as well.

This hotel is not a bad choice for a stay in Košice. It’s near the train station and is only 10 minutes walk away from all the main tourist sites in the Staré Mesto and on the Hlavná. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. When we checked in we were offered a free drink at the bar, and the lunch in the hotel was really good and very affordable.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and it had a great selection and great quality. The hotel offers a one-hour walking tour of the historic sites in your language for just €1 which some of our friends availed of and said it was very enjoyable.

The hotel is away from it all in a lovely tree-lined avenue, yet 10 minute walking distance to Kosice old town, so very convenient.

The staff were fantastic- warm, professional and always helpful; several guests came to tell me that they really appreciated the service with a smile. The interior of the hotel is elegant and it has a feel of the old grandeur that we both love, with chandeliers, dark wood and little touches like an old gramophone. We all loved the exterior with the fountain and seating area full of flowers in bloom. The breakfast was sumptuous and beautifully prepared, just like everything else.

Overall, it was a marvelous experience and we all felt relaxed and pampered. I would wholly recommend Hotel Dalia to everyone who wants to explore Kosice and is looking for an island of tranquility and warmth.

Hotel Arcus
Hotel Arcus

The rooms feature cable TV, a work desk, a minibar, and a bathroom. A breakfast is served in the morning.

The family-run Hotel Arcus dates back to 1929 and has been completely renovated. It has a quiet garden with a terrace. Barbecue facilities are also available free of charge.

The guests can also enjoy free tea and coffee facilities available in the corridor.

This relaxed hotel is 1 km from the Church of St. Elisabeth, and 2 km from both the Slovak National Gallery and Bratislava Castle.

The straightforward rooms feature free high-speed Internet, TVs, desks and mini fridges. Some sleep up to 3 people.

There’s a complimentary breakfast buffet, a garden with seating, a gazebo and a fountain. Parking is available for a surcharge.

Hotel ARCUS is a lovely family hotel located in a quiet street only a 10 minutes walk from center of Bratislava – the Old town. Hotel ARCUS’s priority is preservation of the original architecture, thanks to which the rooms are uncommonly spacious and have high ceilings. All single and double rooms are arranged in a distinctive style.
Bathrooms are either large and luxurious, with various types of tubs or standard with shower stalls. Hotel ARCUS is also known for its beautiful and quiet garden just behind hotel, which offers guests opportunities for pleasant relaxation and socialising.
Great property, charming old building in a quiet neighborhood, no elevator, but very clean and comfortable. My room had plenty of space, a spacious bathroom, and offered amenities such as coffee maker, mini-fridge, TV, good WiFi. The walls are a bit thin and I could hear the neighbors conversing, but this didn’t bother me.
The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from the central bus station, a 20-minute walk to city center, near many bus and tram lines, and near many grocery stores and restaurants.
A number of aspects of the hotel were superb. The room was huge, well furnished and had a fantastic bathroom. The service and amenities (such as TV, washrooms, WiFi) were all great. The staff were always helpful. Even the breakfast was a positive surprise. I was just expecting some cold snacks or a buffet, but they freshly cook you a small breakfast from a number of homely choices.
The Hotel Arcus is situated in a quiet road in 10-15 ‘from the city center, easily accessible from taking bus n. 61 (20 ‘) and then walking for 10’ or taking the tram 4 or 9, all really in a few minutes.
The structure consists of 12 rooms, all extremely welcoming, comfortable and spotlessly clean, arranged over three floors. The top two floors of the rooms have been renovated, but the differences with those of the ground floor are very tiny, they are all really very welcoming. In the basement is served every morning the breakfast with a small buffet and the ability to always have a hot dish of your choice.
There is also a beautiful garden, ideal for spending a few hours in the hot summer days. The staff is very helpful and always available for any eventuality, especially the sweetness and the smile of Lenka make the guest feel comfortable and pampered. In a few minutes you can reach the city center, you are well and you spend, in relation to the services offered very little. Absolutely perfect for a stay in Bratislava.

3. Hotel Björnson Jasná & Björnson TREE HOUSES 3* – Eco Friendly Hotels Slovakia

Hotel Björnson Jasná & Björnson TREE HOUSES
Hotel Björnson Jasná & Björnson TREE HOUSES

Situated in Demanovska Valley and only 100 m from the Jasna Ski Area, Hotel Björnson Jasná & Björnson TREE HOUSES offers accommodation furnished in the chalet-style and with views of the surrounding countryside.

Guests can enjoy accommodation in the rooms situated in the main building or in the villa and the hostel rooms situated on the Björnsonka grounds alongside the main hotel. each unit features a TV and free WiFi.

Meals can be enjoyed in the onsite restaurant serving traditional Slovak dishes as well as selected international specialties. It also includes a terrace with panoramic views.

A 5-minute walk from the nearest ski lift, this relaxed hotel in a rustic chalet-style building with mountain views is a 10-minute walk from the shores of scenic Lake Vrbické and 13 km from the D1 motorway.

Modest dorms have shared bathrooms. Simple rooms feature Wi-Fi access, flat-screens and en suite facilities; some add pull-out sofas and/or mountain views. A villa with a kitchen and a fireplace sleeps up to 8 people.

Parking and breakfast are complimentary. There’s a casual restaurant with a terrace, and a veranda with open-air wooden hot tubs, plus a game room and a sauna. A playground, a BBQ area and sports courts are on-site.

Stayed in Bjornson’s tree house and enjoyed it very much. Great location, on the edge of the forest and next to the ski slope and cable car. Stylish, warm and comfortable wooden cabins provide all necessary facilities ..and the great views.. although a kettle and and a dry room to store boots and skiing equipment would be a good addition.

Björnson hotel is very modern compared to the other hotels in Jasna:
* Service is excellent
Location is perfect, it’s almost as high as you can get on Jasna mountain. Also walking distance to Happy End bar
* Breakfast is comparable to any european 4 star breakfast! Bacon, egg, porridge, cereals, nutella etc.
* The Sauna and outdoor bubble bath tubs are great standard and bookable almost whenever.
* Hotel is newly renovated in 2016 and bathroom is tiptop new.

This is great reconstructed hotel, just few steps from ski slopes.

The hotel is a successful reconstruction of a previous wooden chalet. All the materials used fit the surrounding. The hotel has several types of rooms up to a large 4 bedroom lone standing villa. A nice restaurant with local kitchen and drinks.

Buffet breakfast is above 3 stars standard, including several types of fresh bread and espresso coffee from beans.

The hotel has a small wellness area with jacuzzi and sauna, free parking in front of the house.

Definitely a great place to stay for ski vacation in Jasna.

You can reach the slopes by ski directly from the hotel, which is great. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, functional, but small and with rather weak insulation against noise from adjacent rooms. Rooms are on floor 1 and 2, there is no elevator. Service was friendly and spoke excellent English.

Breakfast was good (eggs, sausages, fruits, cereals, bread, ham etc), quality of the food and drinks average. Parking in front of the hotel. Nice spa (sauna and outdoor jacuzzis). There are two additional buildings belonging to the hotel: a “villa” and a “hostel” (shared bathrooms and kitchen).

What to expect: a new, clean, functional place to sleep while enjoying the mountains, for a fair price. An emphasis on sports (dedicated ski room, a spa to relax after sports, proximity to the ski slopes) in a pleasant atmosphere.
