An eco hotel, or a green hotel, is an environmentally sustainable hotel or accommodation that has made important environmental improvements to its structure in order to minimize its impact on the natural environment and eco friendly hotels Thailand are considered excellent place to hang out for a couple of nights in Bangkok and then beyond in Thailand
Unfortunately, Thailand is way behind much of the world in general eco-awareness; conflicts between economic and ecological interests generally work out in favor of the former. Environmental problems include deforestation, air and water pollution, flooding, habitat loss, and consequent species loss. Among the 33 mammals in danger of extinction in Thailand are tigers, leopards, and elephants.
Bangkok ranks 67 in Asia Pacific on the inaugural Sustainable Cities Index from Arcadis, the leading global natural and built asset design and consultancy firm.

Mook Lanta Eco Resort is located 50 m from Phra Ae Beach. It features traditional wooden bungalows on stilts over a tropical garden. Free WiFi is available.
Mook Lanta Eco Resort is approximately 2 hours by land and ferry from Krabi International Airport. Saladan Pier on Lanta Island is a 10-minute drive away from the resort.
There are 4 different types of bungalows to choose from.
A 2-minute walk from the closest beach, this relaxed resort in a collection of bungalows is accessed via an unpaved road shaded by palm trees. It’s 7 km from ferry terminals at Saladan Pier and 2 minutes’ walk from cafes and bars on a main road.

Hot or continental breakfast is included. A rustic open-air cafe with a bar serves light meals and snacks.
Koh Lanta has to offer. Our bungalows range from large family air conditioned bungalows through to inexpensive fan Bungalows. We have Free Wifi throughout the resort..
I stayed in a delightful A/C bungalow on stilts. The room was spacious and immaculately presented. One thing I found particularly useful was the USB socket for phone charging. Another great feature was a decent shower, not the usual trickle of water, but a proper, warm shower.
The setting was lovely, with beautiful gardens, perfect for looking at while relaxing on the balcony.
The hosts, Nick and Melissa, were great. Very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the island, suggesting places to visit, restaurants and bars, none of which were a disappointment.
The resort lives up to it’s eco name with Melissa explaining their eco policies and future plans.
I shall definitely be booking again and look forward to my next visit.
With a gorgeous backdrop and quaint wooden villas, it is definitely picturesque (at a great price!). While we first opted for the cozy fan room, we decided to change to an air conditioned one (the staff were more than happy to help us with this!) as the weather was too hot and the rooms felt stuffy. The rooms are comfortable and kept clean. There is a peaceful vibe throughout the day. The beach is a five minute walk away (no crowds – which we loved!). The breakfasts were INCREDIBLE and the Mook Muffin is a must try.
Nick, Melissa and all the staff at Mook Lanta are doing a great job — all requests were met. Taking conscious and careful efforts to be eco–friendly, the resort is one of a kind.
To start with, it is a true eco friendly resort, which is the first thing i liked about the resort.
All the bungalows are extremely beautiful and spotlessly clean.
We stayed in Fan Bungalow. There were 2 fans in the room. Room and bathroom are big. Hot water shower is always available.
Wifi range and speed is very good in all the bungalows. And of course it is free.
As soon as you enter the bungalow, you see an information booklet in the room. PLEASE READ IT without ignoring. It is extremely useful with all the necessary info for stay at Koh Lanta.
Water, tea, coffee are always available for free.
Breakfast served is very nice and with varied options.
The resort has locker facility available if you want to keep your valuables safely when you are out, but in my opinion it is not required . The resort staff is extremely trustworthy. The resort is as safe as your own house.

This is our second time in this resort. We came here one year ago and were so amazed by how beautiful the room was and still is. The first time was beautiful and they didn’t disappoint the second time too.
-The private beach is so lovely and quiet.
– Hotel staff with 5 star service, very friendly (even the staff sweeping the leaves outside your room)
– Massage was excellent
– The room is very spacious, I love the design aesthetic of the room and the Eco friendly concept.
– They provide pretty beach bag in your room for loan to the beach!
– The breakfast buffet is a must!
– It would be wise to stay for at least 2 nights to truly enjoy the experience and relax.
I was really looking forward to a quiet relaxing getaway where I can swim, exercise, eat well and pamper myself; the Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa met and even surpassed all my expectations.
I booked the Ocean View Loft for my stay and was extremely happy with the choice. The loft is incredibly spacious with a very hip modern interior design and plenty of natural light. Upon entering the room you immediately notice the two story window facing an exquisite infinity pool which blends into the bluest ocean and sky. It’s a view that will leave you standing in place for a few minutes taking it all in! The sliding doors open to your private terrace with steps into the pool. There are also two sun-loungers on the terrace which were an ideal place for enjoying the late afternoon sun and watching the incredible sunsets. On the second level of the loft there is an extra large king-size bed with the softest sheets and linens.
The comfortable bed provided the ideal rest that I needed after long days in the sun. The high ceiling of the loft meant that I could enjoy the same ocean views from bed and waking up to these views everyday was just breathtaking! The loft has a large bathroom with all the amenities you would expect from a five-star hotel, including a superb shower and a Jacuzzi bath. The room had good internet WiFi coverage and I never had any issues with reception in the entire resort. The room was impeccably cleaned each day and I enjoyed the complimentary fresh fruit that was provided during turn-down service.
The highlight of the Aleenta resort is unquestionably its long beautiful paradise-like beach which you will practically have to yourself. There are no disturbing beach-games, no hawkers, no noisy jet-skis, no litter, no seaweed; just a calm and relaxing atmosphere accompanied by the sound of the ocean waves breaking on the soft sand. I spent most days at the beach on comfortable sun loungers and absolutely loved every relaxing minute. The hotel staff regularly checked if I required anything and provided complimentary ice-cold water.
Breakfast had a very good selections with many types of coffees, teas and fresh juice drinks. Having breakfast at the beach restaurant with its stunning ocean–views was a wonderful way to start the day. To be honest, I only had one meal out of the resort but if you like good food and are willing to have a mix of not just Thai, but Western and Asian fusion, everything is available at the restaurant at Aleenta.
The Aleenta Spa is also of the highest standard. The professional staff made me feel special from the moment I arrived. Not only did the quality of the massage and facial exceed expectations, but the whole process from reception to the lounge space afterwards, was clearly designed to give guests the highest level of experience. The gym at the Aleenta is spacious and modern with all the training equipment anyone would require. Small towels and drinking-water was provided.

Amenities include free parking and a breakfast buffet, plus 2 gourmet restaurants and 2 bars. There’s a wellness spa, an infinity pool and a fitness center, plus direct beach access.
We also absolutely love the pool, ample chill out area and the farm on the hill where they have chicken, goats and vegetable patches. The resort is truly eco, for example where they will filter out the oil and filth from water before it’s discharged, food waste is used to produce effective microorganism and the Aircon powers up the water heater!
The beach is not as busy as the pool, it’s a good getaway from the masses but have to put up with some construction noise from the opposite villas (another developer).
The food is generally good, we have eaten by the beach, pool, in villa and in both the restaurants. The breakfast area looks out to the sea and its breathtaking on a sunny day! I think the menu description could be more accurate though, I thought I ordered a pan fried snapper for my main and I got a whole deep fried snapper. No big issues, just helps to manage expectations and portions.
The spa is truly amazing, villas perched on the rocks where we can hear the water crashes against the rocks whilst being massaged. And the therapist are all very well trained, although it doesn’t come cheap.

Located in the Nimman neighborhood of Chiang Mai, the Akyra Manor is a sleek boutique hotel surrounded by coffee shops, art galleries, and local bars with outdoor patios and live music. While not located in the Old City where many of the tourist attractions are, grabbing a red truck (local taxi-like system) feels naturals and is cheap (60 baht one way) and an experience in its own right. Probably a 15 minute drive to the night markets. Additionally the hotel also offers nightly shuttles into the old city wherever the happening event that evening is (saturday and sunday night markets for us) The neighborhood feels authentic and seems to be the happening place for college and post-grad locals.
The rooms themselves are sexy, with glass partitions between the bedroom, large patio hot tub, and the bathroom area. There’s an artistic vibe to the hotel with a local gallery showing some paintings in the halls while we were there, and the decor of the hotel itself being a dark-leaning motif of contrasting black and white hues. Everything was very clean feeling and the hotel spares no detail; whether that means including delivering drink ingredients to your room nightly should you want to partake in the mini bar, or little bedside concoctions for better sleep on the nightstand.
The real star of the show was the service and the food. The chef is a talented young guy and his pizza is incredible (seriously, among the best and most unique I’ve tasted.) The dishes range from Italian/Mediterranean to Thai; both classic and fusion. The included breakfast allows for each person to order two entrees off the breakfast menu; includes a beautiful small tower of local fruit, cheese, cured meat, and pastries, coffee, and a buffet element with many choices for yogurt, cereal, toast, bread, salad, and many fresh squeezed juices. The restaurant adds ambiance with a small outdoor patio and both chairs and bench seating in a very cool looking setting.
Rooftop bar and pool area is small but well done, the sunset off the mountains is beautiful, and the bar menu is interesting but a little on the sweet side. Happy hour includes 2 for 1 drink specials with some small bites included.

Nice pool villas providing privacy for a romantic weekend getaway in the nature. The villa was spacious, however the interior and furniture were a bit tired. At the villa entrance was an unkept water pond, attracting lots of mosquitos. Breakfast was good, but not great; healthy quality food (such as freshly pressed juices, cereals, organic yoghurts) or gluten free bakery were would have been a nice addition, which was missing. The room service was efficient and the food from the resort’s Italian restaurant was good.
Access to Muthi Maya, located at the end of a massive golf resort Kirimaya, was a bit complicated and not well marked. Muthi Maya’s location nearby Khao Yai national park and GranMonte vineyard was a big plus. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The nature around the resort is beautiful.
Recently we spent three nights in a pool villa. We found it to be an excellent place to just get away to and relax. Also a great base for day trips to the nearby Khao Yai National Park and other attractions.
The villa (933) was simply fantastic. There is not much more to add to what they display on their website.
Breakfasts each morning at the Myth Restaurant were very good and a dinner in their Japanese Tani Restaurant on one night was a highlight.
Enjoyed a morning round on their golf course which is set up well for golfers of all capabilities (myself somewhat of a hacker!). Very good and knowledgeable caddy and staff . The fantastic condition of the course is a credit to the hardworking staff behind the scenes.
All the staff we encountered were very pleasant, discrete and helpful. New trainees were also noticed and it is good for the resorts to be developing future hospitality personnel.
All grounds and areas, including our villa, were well maintained and clean. A further credit to the staff that work behind the scenes.
Very good nature areas within the resort complex, including the bird hide.
