The warmth of the staff is matched by the beautiful setting the hotel is in. The staff that work at Yonca clearly love the hotel and its purpose.
The hotel is described as an eco hotel, yet it’s far from being a hippie retreat. The gardens within which the rooms are set are absolutely beautiful. Amongst others there are lemon, mulberry, orange and pomegranate trees. You will also see chickens and ducks happily running around the garden. The hotel is also proud of its organic vegetable garden which the charming gardener will happily give you a tour of. There is also a table tennis table for those inclined for a game. We didn’t use the pool, but this has been tastefully incorporated into the garden setting, which looks out onto a beautiful sea view.
We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel, both of which were superb. Fresh and very much local produce.
The rooms are comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a ground floor standard room.
I would strongly recommend Yonca Lodge to anyone that is looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life for a few days. It’s incredibly relaxing and I hope to visit again soon!
Breakfast is fresh and tasty. Evening meals enjoyable and fairly priced (although sometimes a delay and mix up with orders) However the setting, beautiful views and stunning sunsets, coupled with another glass of delicious wine compensates for this 100 fold.
There is a small swimming pool, but the ocean is where we went swimming most of the time. Still nice and warm at the end of September (+24C). There are hammocks, sun loungers and raised pergolas (or whatever you call them) with big white cushions – beautiful and very comfortable. There were a handful other guests but it felt like we had the place almost to ourselves. Very relaxing and peaceful.
Lots of activities nearby too. We went horse riding, paragliding and did a boat trip. The staff was very helpful, giving information, answering questions and helping us make phone calls.

Would definitely recommend staying here for a trip to Istanbul.
The views you get from this hotel whether you’re in the front lobby, your room, the lounge is just incredible. I really appreciated the gentlemen in concierge as they were super helpful in providing us restaurant suggestions, and also making reservations for us so we didn’t have to! I always appreciate details like this as it saves us time, and allows us to enjoy our vacation. Our room was upgraded and it was very spacious, with a full mini bar to enjoy. I loved absolutely everything about this hotel and would definitely return.
From the minute we checked in to the minute we left the service was impeccable. Absolutely amazing view from our room I literally couldn’t stop looking out at it. Access to the executive lounge gave extra special views of the Bosphorus with our morning coffee with complimentary snacks and drinks all day for those that wanted it. The spa was amazing and added some much needed pampering time to our holiday.
Breakfast was lovely with an abundance of choice and quality foods. The swiss gourmet cafe on site also offered lovely snacks and drinks to enjoy before you set out for your days travels. Every single member of staff we encountered was polite helpful and professional at every moment. The location is brilliant for getting around the major sites of Istanbul with Dolmabahçe palace and Beşiktaş stadium literally on your doorstep. The rooftop bar was also amazing which we were glad to catch as it is now closed for the winter season. I can with all my confidence recommend this hotel and I believe every penny is worth spent here.

Featuring wood accents, the subdued rooms come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minibars and balconies. Suites add separate living spaces with pull-out sofas, and some offer river views and in-room whirlpool tubs. Family rooms with 2 bedrooms sleep up to 4 people.
Breakfast is complimentary, and the hotel has an airy restaurant with outdoor seating. The spa features an indoor pool, a hot tub and a sauna, plus an exercise room. There’s also an outdoor pool with a bar and lounge chairs.
I have to say that we were definitely not disappointed at all! The hotel offers chalet type accommodation and we were lucky enough to have a room on the ground floor right next to the swimming pool.
The hotel is also in a very good location and next to the River. A short walk into town and the marina where you can take a boat along the river to see Kunos, Turtle Beach and also visit the thermal mud baths if you so wish.
The hotel is very eco friendly with the chalets being made of wood and solar panels being used throughout.
We stayed half board – the breakfast included traditional Turkish cuisine, cheeses, meats, olives, tomatoes and cucumber – and also a varied hot dish either boiled eggs or scrambled egg/ cheese pancakes…. there was also breads, honey, jams, fresh fruit, juice, tea coffee and various cereals to choose from.
The dinner you could choose from the set menu up to 30 Turkish Lira, which we did – a soup, salad, main, desert. We chose a yoghurt and mint soup which was very nice, our salad did not arrive and there was slight confusion with our main meal, my meatballs arrived but my friend ordered something and got something completely different. Also our desert did not arrive so we questioned this and it then Tiramisu promptly arrived. The restaurant was not that busy so service should have been more prompt – this minor hiccup however, did not take away from the enjoyment of our stay.
The room rate also included use of the Spa Facilities at the hotel, which are very good, clean and up to date. Sauna, Steam Room, indoor swimming pool, relaxation area, fruit bar, and Turkish Bath (Hamam). It does say that Turkish Bath is included however, you do have to pay for a set treatment if you want the full works, soap down, face mask, 20 minute massage etc. It is well worth paying for this as it’s such a lovely relaxing treatment at the start of any holiday.
Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was very clean, tidy, staff helpful, modern, luxurious, comfy beds, great power shower, Fantastic!

The Hotel, the whole complex of spa, villas, beaches, walks and gardens are impeccably designed and impeccably serviced.
Not easy to reach by road and not clearly signalled, the Hotel is nested in a pristine bay surrounded by a well-planned and well cared Mediterranean vegetation. The air and the sea water are pristine and the walk in the morning was an experience for all senses.
What makes this Hotel stand out in the Turkish and International offer is the service that a well-trained crew provides to guests.
Never invasive or supercilious the service is always there almost anticipating and always fulfilling the guest’s wishes. Friendly efficient and impeccable with a special mention to Mr. Taner Unlen (GEM) who went all the way from arrival to departure to make us feel welcomed and cared for.
A gigantic SPA (in space and services) offers most of the imaginable facilities and tools for body care and relaxation. At the top of the list and not to be missed.
The beach (we only visited one of the two available) is well planned and well serviced and the two pools are not only architectural jewels but also a place of peace and détente.
The main restaurant offers a “spoiled for choice” breakfast and a very elegant buffet for dinner. The “Wild Thyme” a la carte restaurant has an excellent selection of Turkish specialities both in fish and meat: dining on the terraces is made pleasant by an intelligent choice of light, never too invasive against the nature.
It is true that the Six Senses Kaplankaya is a new property and as such is growing into itself. Once you look beyond the “newness”, what you have is a beautiful natural environment, staffed with friendly, helpful and professional people continually looking to assist you in having a relaxing stay.
The Good: Well there is a lot to like. The Six Senses concept is there throughout the resort from the water served in glass bottles, biodegradable drinking straws and sustainability programme.
There is a choice of 4 beaches to enjoy, my personal favourite was the beach at the Marina, a beautiful, wide sandy beach with Watersports, comfortable beds and beach service (fantastic cocktails!). The family beach was also very good, especially if you have children as they have a shaded playground, floor trampoline and the beach has a shallow slope and is patrolled by lifeguards.
The Spa is fabulous and huge! not only do they offer a wide range of in-house treatments, but they also invite world-class visiting practitioners, taking the breadth of options beyond needs of most people. They also offer a range of classes (some complimentary) including Yoga, Meditation and Core Classes.
Food & Drink: Overall the quality of ingredients cannot questioned and whilst this is an area where improvement is needed, it would be wrong to be overly critical. Breakfast is varied and plentiful, but you have to be pro-active if you want to find the full range of options available, for example you can order Pide, Eggs Benedict, Waffles and Crepes for breakfast but you have to ask as the information is not forthcoming.
The other dining options are all good with Meze by the Sea (the Seafood Restaurant) being the best. The Main Restaurant offer a buffet style dinner (with themed nights, Italian, Asian etc) and if you select half-board your meals will be here. I felt that that quality here is okay rather than great and it needs work to come up to the brands high standard, and given the quality of the other dining options I would suggest keeping it flexible rather than committing to half board.
Kids Club: Run by Gymboree, the Kids Club has plenty of enthusiastic and attentive staff, they are a bit limited with their space and the programme needs to mature, but they are working with what they have and I know that the plans for next year are to expand, so I am sure that will improve massively.
Rooms: In a word fabulous! beautifully designed, spacious and well equipped. Great housekeeping team and the room service is outstanding…definitely 5 star.

A total gem! A very charming boutique hotel located in the best area in Cappadocia (Uchisar). On top of a hill with breathtaking views, the best place to watch the hot air balloons early in the morning.
The decor is impeccable, charming, elegant and sophisticated.
The food is outstanding and the staff go out of their way to make you feel special. The hotel also takes pride in its sustainability focus, which includes solar panels and its own garden which supplies fresh ingredients to the restaurant. I would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone.
I have stayed in this hotel by chance as I heard first time about it and its concept of sustainability through an IG advertising. The hotel is small and well located, everything is managed to details. The room we stayed was spacious and the bathroom almost as big as the room.
The breakfast is made to order with special fresh ingredients. Service is excellent and personal kind and well trained. Price is not cheap but you pay for the overall experience, including seeing the hot air balloons in the morning from the terrace.
This hotel is true luxury and truly beautiful and without doubt the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in for both room and location. The staff were outstanding and rooms were so beautiful.
Bar and restaurant served amazing food with perfect service.
Marble lit bench tops, wonderful comfortable beds and room service with your beds turned down each night and a little mat laid out for you to step onto each morning.
Incredible landscape view from all rooms and a terrace that makes you want to sit there all day.
Having a coffee machine in the room was also wonderful and the swinging chair on our balcony beckoned to be used.
If you get the chance this hotel needs to be experienced. It’s simply gorgeous in every way.
