Simply, it’s all shopping & eating any direction you choose to head, approx 10-15mins away.

It’s a modern, boutique hotel with a small lobby but doesn’t matter much coz check-in was a breeze in 5 mins

Also, it is right next to Dotonbori and the Minami area of Osaka so that are lots of great restaurants and shopping right near the hotel. To top it off, it is just a short subway ride to Osaka station if you want to make any day trips (day  trip to Himeji for example).

The room itself was great as well. Tidy and modern. Plenty of accessible power points, toilet with a lot of functions and a very roomy shower.

Rooms have a  good size and are well maintained. Excellent bathing room and good water pressure.

The room is adequately spacious for Japan standard, ours was a twin bedroom. It comes with a dressing/bathroom, the latter of a typical Japanese household type with a bath tub & shower area (comes with stool). It provides full set of toiletries & hair dryer (decent power). The room also comes with a safe & fridge (empty), no mini bar. Tea & coffee bags are provided with complimentary water (2 bottles) daily.

There are plenty of cafes, restaurants at the station and lovely food halls five minutes walk away at Grand Front Osaka. The hotel is also located near major shopping areas full of nice eateries, if you do not want hotel restaurants. It is nearby the Umeda Food Street, where you can find great food that are not expensive.

The room is a little too small for us, who is traveling with two luggages. We had to “reconfigure” the room by shifting the chairs and table around so that we can only our luggages and also having the walking room. In general, the room is clean and comfortable. But the facilities are a little outdated and seems old. There are also not enough electrical plugs for us to charge our phones and camera batteries.

The staff are very nice and helpful, and it is always a pleasure to be greeted with an “Ohayo gozaimasu” in the morning as you head out for sightseeing. Overall, it is a great place, expect for the small space.

5 star rating for the location, reason why I recommended this hotel to my friends. Umeda Station is right below the property, while Osaka Station is nearby. The airport buses to and from Itami and Kansai also stop right outside the front door.

Tons of shopping and dining options surround the hotel.

This hotel offers excellent price value for Japan. The rooms are bigger than what you would expect in this price range and the breakfast buffet, although not extensive, is of high quality food. Service is decent as you would expect.

There are no facilities like gym or pool.

The location is mostly good, as it is close to several subway lines and has 2 convenience stores in vicinity. Other than that it is within a business area, so don’t expect bustling narrow streets. Osaka castle is in walking distance (15min).

The atmosphere, the rooms and the great and friendly staff are just adorable. Osaka Castle within walking distance, subway and train station nearby and great nightlife just around the corner. The Ofuro (Japanese bath) is very pleasant with a great old style restroom.

But be careful, the restroom (not separated according to gender) may only be entered modestly dressed or in a bathrobe. If it happens to you like that, that you will enter the rest room only with entwined towels, then you will be asked very politely and discreetly to dress and to return accordingly.

The beds are comfortable and there offer free bed clothes provided which is great!

There is a convenience store within the hotel premises. Mcdonald’s outlet is close by about 2 minute walk from the hotel. Access to Business Park and Osaka Castle is very easy, and within walking distance. Hotel provides a WiFi enabled phone for the resident guests, with free local calls; this was very handy for us especially when looking for directions to various places of interest.

The breakfast buffet is really nice. It has really peaceful with classical music being played throughout service. There are 2 types of breakfast on offer Japanese and Western. The Japanese is beautiful – the seaweed salad, miso soup, rice porridge, sui mai, takoyaki, soft boiled egg with ponzu sauce, natto, spring greens, carrot and other vegetables in dashi stock and noodles.

The Western breakfast is excellent to – sausages, egg cheese and spinach omelette, salad, fruit, pastrami, Bologna meat, mozzarella cheese, assortment of croissants, waffles and bread rolls. The also have an an assortment of teas, including coffee, black tea, green tea, earl grey tea, mint tea and lemon tea. Be sure to try their homemade jelly and their chiffon cake with cinnamon cream!
