Small boutique hotel that caters for gays and their friends is located between Pattaya City and Jontiem Beach. English owned and run by 2 guys that have been in Thailand over 30 years Jim and Gordon will make your stay a truly fantastic holiday.

The Baan Souy is an adults only resort catering to the gay community and their friends.

The rooms are large and clean, several types to choose from. Swimming pool and tropical gardens are immaculate.

This neatly run resort surrounds a tranquil and isolated pool area where one can relax, unwind, suntan and socialise.

The room have a living room area with sofa, full kitchen, work table & chair, microwave, TV and VCR, kitchen supplies, two bottles of water daily. The bedroom has a super comfy bed, TV/VCR, bedside table, and a large safe. The bathroom has a shower, western toilet and toiletries provided.

The pool area is lovely and serene and our advice is to try to book one of the ground floor pool villas like we did.

Breakfasts are freshly cooked and served wherever you want, your room, balcony, poolside or in their cute little restaurant.

We highly recommend this characterful, gay friendly resort in Pattaya where one can expect great service, cleanliness and a sense of sophistication. Well priced, too, for the weary traveler.Had an absolutely lovely stay. It was like a lovely little gay oasis. Staff were friendly and lovely, pool was wonderful with plenty of chairs. Would highly recommend.

Many other properties in Pattaya are a tacky faux “luxury” (think ikea) and Baan Souy is a perfect antidote to that with classy unassuming charm which feels authentic and comfortable. As a gay solo traveller this hotel is completely perfect. It is in between the main gay areas of Pattaya and Jomtien. Just a two minute walk from the main road where you catch the buses. There is a motorcycle taxi place just at the top of the road also. And a 7-11.

The beds and pillows are little bit firm for my liking. But ok. However this is my only criticism as everything else is wonderful. They can’t do enough to help you. The food is good. You can have drinks and food in your room or by the pool whenever you want. The pool is wonderful and beautiful Especially at night time when it is all lit up. They don’t mind you bringing a friend back and there are no children allowed so the atmosphere is tranquil and social around the pool area.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I have stayed at this hotel and would not stay anywhere else. I love you Baan Souey!

Enjoy your stay in Pattaya!

The resort is located in the gayarea in Jomtien; the gay area is right next to the hotel and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. Although in the heart of the gay area of the Jomtien Complex it is on a different little Soi to the bars so quiet.

This hotel is perfectly located in Jomtien Complex. Walking distance to the beach and one street away to gay nightlife in Pattaya, which is perfect. You can enjoy the nightlife and not being disturbed in your room from the street noise.

Room are large and comfortable, bathroom ok with a temperamental shower, TV has some choice of English channels. Wifi is  fine and in room safe is appreciated. A little balcony overlooking the small but refreshing pool is a nice touch. Room is cleaned well each day.

The room itself are lovely; the bed linen was soft and silky which made up for the fact the bed is rock hard. The bathroom was spacious and simple.

The room are spacious and absolutely spotless. The bed linen are pristine, as were the towels in the bathroom. The pool area is impeccably maintained. There is a restaurant and lovely, open verandah.

Amenities include tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary water, a fridge, multi-channel flatscreen tv’s and a small safe.

The breakfast buffet is extensive and with hours of operation from 8am until 2pm certainly caters for everybody. Good choice at buffet breakfast with a chef making omelettes, scrambled, poached or fried eggs. Great cappuccinos as well.

It’s a good choice if you want to be in this location. Otherwise you may find it inconvenient or the minuses will outweigh the plusses.

The bed was very wide and the room was clean and spacious. These first impressions are good. I agree with other comments here that décor-wise, it’s rather plain, but at this 3-star hotel price, we should be fair.

There is a lift — important if you have lots of luggage.

There was an unstocked fridge, kettle, sachets of tea and coffee and 2 small bottles of drinking water daily. There was a safe and four power points for charging equipment. The wifi dropped a few times, but reconnected quickly, so not a big issue.

Lighting was good, and together with daylight made the room bright and airy. The air conditioner worked wonderfully. The TV, unfortunately, only had local satellite channels. Though that included a few movie channels, there were no international news channels.

My room opened out to a shared terrace, beyond which was no view at all but another building. I really wasn’t expecting much, but some rooms are worse with their windows opening out to a common patio, so privacy is an issue unless one kept the curtains closed all the time.

For a room of this size, the bathroom was absurdly small. The washbasin clashed with the toilet bowl and the shower area was too narrow. That said, water pressure was good. The water heater was temperamental. Even at the same setting, it kept swinging from scalding to too cold. It just wouldn’t stay steady at a medium warm temperature. Drainage was also slightly choked. Maintenance needed or it will soon get worse.

The pool was lovely but the gym looked small (I never got around to using it).

You can love or hate the location. For me, it’s almost perfect, since it is this part of Pattaya-Jomtien that I want to be, plus the fact that it’s only a few hundred metres from the beach. For others keen on the sights of Pattaya city proper, it may be a bit out of the way. There are affordable restaurants around, but the fancier ones are a drive away.

This is also an area of gay bars, and depending which side your room faces, the thump thump of music goes on till 1 a.m. Light sleepers may have a problem. I could hear it in the background from my room, which didn’t even face the front.

Shower facilities, bathtub and free toiletries are included in an en suite bathroom. A bathrobe, hairdryer and slippers are also provided. The boutique wing offers a contemporary Victorian design which is uniquely furnished as a gallery hotel, differentiating itself from the main wing and any ordinary hotel rooms

This is a budget hotel situated at the happening Soi 8 in the middle of various eateries, dance bars, gay clubs and massage salons.

Hotel is located in prime place in the happening area of Pattaya. The hotel is situated in the heart of the entertainment district (although this does not affect the sleep quality) the pool area is nice (with a pool bar)and the area and pool are clean. The room was well appointed and spacious, tea and coffee facilities.  The bed was comfortable with good pillows and bedding.

The bath is a good size, they provide tea and coffee making in the room and the wifi is fast.

Buffet breakfast is good with many varieties and  caters more for Asians than Europeans. The spread of buffet breakfast offered in the restaurants is enough variety and was open till 11. Food quality is good and the staffs were are to help you.

Rooms are spacious and furnitures are new. Bathroom is clean with bathtube. Staff always smiles at you. Restaurant small but open buffet is various.

But best part is hotel’s location. It’s located very lively street. Easy to reach to beach and coast road. Next to the hotel you can find a big shopping mall. You can walk to “walking street” about 20 mins or for 10 baht you can go with big-tuk tuk.

The room was well appointed with nice comfy beds and other necessary furniture. The bathroom was a slight let down as the bath tub had a hole and the pipe leading to the shower badly leaking. We made a complaint but the repairs were still not satisfactory and we had to bear with the leakage throughout our stay. Other than this the bathroom was functional enough and we had no problem with any other thing.

The breakfast buffet was enormous and had almost everything for everyone including sushi. Having said that i was still disappointed as i had to just do with bread and butter as i am a strict vegetarian. They lay down a separate Indian vegetarian counter but it is useless as i did not find anything eatable there during my 4 day stay.

The staff specially the doorman was very nice to us and always greeted us with a salute and a naughty wink.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone who want to stay near the action but still want a good night’s sleep. Stay away from the boutique wing which is located in the side building as the rooms there have no windows and the overall feel is very dark and depressing.

The rooms are unique and geared for adults only. Hotel has flat screen TV’s with 99 stations. Two of which are for Porn channels.  Nudity is no problem at he pools or in the hallways.

5.  Hilton Pattaya Hotel – Lgbt Friendly Hotels Pattaya

Hilton Pattaya
Hilton Pattaya

This luxury gay friendly hotel Pattaya is 2 minutes walk from the beach. Hilton Pattaya offers 5-star luxury with 180-degree view of Pattaya Beach and 40-inch flat-screen TVs, atop CentralFestival Pattaya Beach Complex. It features an infinity pool, fitness centre and spa.

Pattaya Hilton offers direct access to the 300 shopping and dining options housed within the beach complex. It is a 1.5-hour drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The property also offers chargeable airport transfer services.

There is a state of the art of a shopping mall connected to the North, The Central Festival. There are three lobbies.

The first, seventh and 16th floors so this makes things handy. The sky Lounge, bar and restaurant on the 34th floor is the place to be after dark. Hotel location is good. It’s at the center of beach road and connected with Central Festival Shopping Mall. Convenience store, restaurants and currency exchange shops were just in a step!!

Rooms are spacious and comfortable with plenty of room to move. Bath on balcony took a bit of getting used to but worse things to do than relax in there watching boats sail by.

From the Edge, Horizon and Flare restaurants the food was excellent. The breakfasts each morning in the Edge had a wide variety of food catering to everyones taste. There was no shortage of space, food, and staff (both chefs and waiters) will to make everything according to your personal taste. They have bath tub on terrace and separate shower area which is also half open.

The pool is the best part of this hotel. We would recommend you to book an Executive plus suite where you can have full panorama view and also bathtub on the terrace is incredible. The infinity pool is divine… when you swim along the infinity pool edge looking at the sea…you feel the thrill…pool edge melts with sea water giving infiniti feel…. and you feel lost. It’s not huge pool but it’s good enough.

Hotel location centre of Pattaya and shopping mall, the hotel design is look very cool and sea breeze and blue white theme. Service staff is nice, the facility gym and sky pool sea view panorama, the room have balcony is nice but no good maintenance. The sky lounge is very popular a lot people for hangout. The breakfast a lot of selection and the quality is acceptable. Thai, Japanese, Chinese, international food. And don’t miss to go spa. Spa manager is very kind and professional and expert. Lovely Hilton.

Location right next to central Festival, very convenient with all the amenities of food if you’re looking for variety outside hotel. walking distance from beach and other smaller shops, great nighttime strolls. Hilton itself has great breakfast variety, with scenic view of sea activities. Deluxe room is spacious, unlike other Hilton hotels elsewhere. Only downside is traffic can be stuck during checkout hours since it shares parking with Central.

The Hilton Pattaya is an Excellent “across the beach” hotel with many amenities. This is my second time to this particular hotel, and YES, I would go back. Easily a 4.5 star hotel in the US or Europe. Excellent points for the Hilton: Rooms are clean, and the suites have an awesome view of the ocean. Rooftop bar is worth a sunset cocktail and the chill EDM mix from the DJ is spot on for the evening (It is not too loud). Buffet breakfast is very nice. Staff is very friendly and top rate in service.

You are about 1 kilometer from Walking Street. “Just OK” points: workout area is small. The pool area fills up quickly, so get there before the crowd. Depending on the time of year the hotel shadow will block the sun from the pool area – so you might have to go to the beach to get a serious tan
