0 min from abu dhabi By boat and you are in paradise. Before your short trip to the island you will be welcomed with champagne or soft drinks and it immediately sets your brain on the “vacation mood”. we Stayed for 3 days in 1 bedroom villa. The size of the villa is huge with a beautiful private pool facing the gulf. Super comfy bed that is very hard to leave in the morning) the villa is super clean and smells nice, you can find cute bicycles outside of your villa and it’s pretty cool idea to discover island riding a bike. Big plus is a free 30 min yoga in the morning, beautiful start of the day. Our spa experience was speechless, beautifully designed very warm and chic at the same time. Massage rooms is facing the water and you can hear smooth waves sound while you having massage.

Breakfast was delicious, i have nothing negative to add), also We had yummy pizza at cute pineapple beach bar for lunch and had dinner at Mexican place and arabic restaurant (cannot remember what we had but the food was great :))) do not forget a very attentive and friendly staff. plan your trip and you won’t regret it for a second.

The beach villa was also clean and well-provided with toiletries and towels. Special mention to Meraly and the other housekeeping staff Prabat, Dilip, Ishanka, Saleem and Asharaf who made extra effort to welcome us for our honeymoon. They were also quick to respond and they came checking in the evening if we are in need of anything. Overall, the service was great, our foods came warm, and everyone was nice and friendly (from the buggy drivers to the room service staff). We are grateful for the pleasant experience.

Nothing says luxury like a private island. From the moment you step off the boat (jetty) onto this picture perfect beach in the glittering Arabian Gulf, it feels like you’re starring in your very own travel magazine shoot. I came to spend one night at this relaxing and impeccable 5-star resort set among crystal clear waters.

The minute you step inside your villa you instantly feel excitement. I was so happy to see a romantic set up with full set of amenities. The pool has a lovely temperature and it was wonderful to take a dip in the turquoise ocean and stroll along the soft white sand beach. We did a bicycle tour around the Island. Whether you’re a professional photographer or just an Instagram enthusiast like myself, Zaya Nurai Island, is the perfect experience to capture beautiful shots. You’ll be snap happy all day and everything is worth capturing.

When I returned back home that night, it will felt like I spent a long weekend away on a tropical island. The memories will last with me forever. I cannot wait to go back.

Supreme waterfront lifestyle enhanced with Shangri-La hospitality. Designed with luxury and comfort in mind, the Shangri-La Residences has all the features of the hotel at their doorstep.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Abu Dhabi, I’ve stayed here many times, but this was the longest, 6 weeks, and it was an incredible experience. It’s the Shangri-La so you know that the rooms are going to be big, the bed will be one of the comfiest you’ve ever slept in (firm but deliciously soft), the large walk-in shower and the biggest bath you’ll have probably ever bathed in, and the gorgeous large balcony with views to the Grand Mosque (4th floor and above).

The facilities around the hotel are excellent! With two swimming pools, one being an infinity pool looking out to the Grand Canal and two beaches with plenty of sun loungers, it’s a perfect place to relax!

Don’t forget to take the abra along the canal at the hotel to the Souk next door where there is a great many shops and restaurants, including an ATM and a pharmacy.

If you are looking for luxury, excellent service and amazing staff then this is the place to stay!

The Shangri-la ain’t perfect, maybe we would’ve loved it more if our view of the Grand Mosque from our room balcony isn’t obstructed by cranes and the ongoing construction. But because of the absolutely great experience we’re already having, we can just sit by the balcony and actually enjoy watching the construction with the Grand Mosque as the background.
Rooms
This time we opted to go for the Club Horizon room where you have complimentary evening snacks and drinks (happy hour only 5:30-7:30pm). We were very impressed with this, the room is smaller than the premiere room but we felt the benefit of having our own cocktail lounge was outweighed.Service
On arrival we met with Lyndon the Chief Concierge who’s knowledge of what to do in and around the hotel was excellent. He made us feel so welcome and at home and is a real credit to the Hotel!
Restaurants
The choice at the Shangri-La is almost overwhelming, you will not need to go anywhere else. Our favourite is the Hoi An Vietnamese restaurant, living in London we have a choice of Vietnamese restaurants but this place is hands down the best we have ever had! Again the service here by Sheska who remembered us from our previous visit was incredible she actually recalled what we had to eat when we last here!! We were introduced to Ta Van by the Head Chef Nikos and Ta Van made my wife a special meal. Truly a memorable experience. The Buffet and Main Restaurant is the Sofra is headed up by Nikos. Quite honestly if anyone says that they can’t find anything delicious to eat here they must be Mad. I’m a fussy eater and Nikos the head Chef made things specifically for my taste. Really the whole experience at this Hotel is made by the Staff they simply cannot do enough for you a real 5 star service.

You definitely must try this hotel a true luxury experience.I like to go every weekend to unwind in the amazing. Pool with a very relaxing atmosphere, the food in the main restaurant is delicious.

Rooms are very nice and clean with an amazing mangrove view

Absolutely recommended you have to go.

A luxurious hotel with outstanding services and very friendly and helpful staff, with an excellent location between Abu Dhabi city center and Yas island. The rooms are very large in size with luxury furniture and beautiful decoration. The bathroom is very large and equipped with brand toiletries.

Enjoy the beautiful scenes of the eastern Mangroves and experience several boats riding adjacent to the hotel during your stay.

Breakfast is also excellent with many selections and varieties.

! This was a lovely hotel with friendly, welcoming staff who made me feel like a valued guest from the outset. My room was a good size and very clean and comfortable – there was even a pillow menu to make sure I got just the right sleep! My only regret is that I didn’t book a room overlooking the pool – my balcony looked out onto the carpark and a busy road. I know for next time though!

The food I tried at the hotel was very good – I ate lunch at the Pool Deck one day and had in-room dining on another day, but there were also restaurants and coffee shops within a couple of minutes walk of the hotel if you wanted to get out and about.

I decided to treat myself to a spa session in the hotel’s spa and it was real luxury – the changing rooms and the hammam were perfect and the therapist was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it and left feeling very pampered! My stopover was definitely made all the better for staying in this lovely hotel and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cool and calm place to relax in Abu Dhabi.

The room always super big and spacious, and the room service fast. The choices of the food during the breakfast is significant, they have every kind of food that a person can imagine!

Hotel and Room: The initial welcoming lobby is quite spacious, clean, and covid-conscious. Well-kept with Asian decor and design.

The room was a surprisingly large accommodation, unbelievably comfortable beds (haven’t slept like that in years), with a great bath, speaker in the bathroom, and a small balcony with two chairs and a table for awesome views.

Ingredients Buffet: spacious and covid-conscious, plenty of great choices for any palate, all staffed by extremely helpful and friendly folks (Nur makes a very satisfying omelette!). Breakfast was just as good as our light lunch, followed by a cozy dinner of really well-put-together choices.

Pool and Activities: we LOVE the curtained cabanas over the deck chairs, and that they weren’t reserved. Staff were quick to move umbrellas to loungers in the sun without being asked, lifeguards were quite watchful, and respectful of social distancing. The area wasn’t crowded or too noisy, though our only suggestion would be to bring the volume down on the music just a hair. Patrons have the ability to wander the hotel and see the great architecture, the rooftop bar with awesome views of the city, and out to the Mangrove Sidewalk for 170 dhm kayak/paddleboard rental or for a scenic walk down to the other upscale restaurants like Boa, on the East end of the Promenade.
