Lesbiangaybisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights in the United States have evolved in recent decades. However, LGBT Americans may still face some legal and many social challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents, particularly in states with large conservative populations, such as in the Deep South; in rural areas; and in some Native American tribal nations.

U.S. federal law does not explicitly include protections against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. In June 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that sexual orientation and gender identity are included under “sex” as a prohibited ground of employment discrimination in the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the U.S. state of Florida may face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Same-sex sexual activity became legal in the state after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Lawrence v. Texas on June 26, 2003, and same-sex marriage has been legal in the state since January 6, 2015.
New Jersey is frequently referred to as one of the United States’ most LGBTfriendly states, with several gay establishments and venues throughout the state, notably in Jersey City, Asbury Park, Maplewood, Atlantic City, Ocean Grove, Edison and Cape May among others.
Atlantic City has a long history of being a  gay friendly town and in downtown we can find a few gay friendly bars as well as Gypsy Bar & Planet Rose the most famous gay friendly bars in Atlantic City, NJ
Atlantic City is a resort city on New Jersey’s Atlantic coast that’s known for its many casinos, wide beaches and iconic Boardwalk. Due to current uncertainty as a result of COVID-19, all reservations are subject to cancellation by MGM Resorts.
The Borgata is a luxury hotel, located at the City’s Marina District. It’s a great place if you want to be removed from the Boardwalk, but so secluded that it is not convenient to visit any other AC hotel (not even at the Marina area). It has excellent restaurants and entertainment. The pool area is indoors and only so-so, but they are building a new outdoor pool. The guest rooms are nice and large, and well appointed. The bathrooms are marble, and also spacious.
We’ve stayed twice in the past year, and have enjoyed the hotel and entertainment on both stays. One other point; although they have an ad campaign geared for the gay community, we’ve (unfortunately) never seen any entertainment or nightlife geared toward that lifestyle at the Borgata.

Comfy Bedding & Clean Rooms. Naturally Based Toiletries that I Love to use. Full Size Towels for your body when stepping out of the Walk-In Seated AWESOME Shower.

Borgata has one of the Cleanest Casino Floors compared to most that I’ve been too. The Ambiance and vibe throughout is Fun but comfortable relaxing feel.

The staff are always friendly & accommodating and trying to help overall.

The Spa Tocorre @ Borgata is my favorite even compared to their Next Door Water Club “Immersion Spa” location. Great Amenities (Sauna, 3 Connected Hot Tubs / Jacuzzi’s, Steam Room, Private Shower, etc.). And very accommodating even when you forget your swimsuit and other needs. (I recommend the Body Scrub and Hot Stone Massage and always check for the weekly specials before you book to save you money).

I will also say The Immersion Spa at Water Club has the best Views of Atlantic City so just to experience that is worth a visit.
And for food, the Buffet is Great and the restaurant’s are really good too. I’ve been to most and I have no complaints about any of the places. I like The Metropolitan for their varied dining options/choices from Italian to Buffalo Wings and great Fresh Oysters . Bread & Butter has the best Sandwiches and other grab & go quick meal option. So many restaurant options to choose from and their all good.
I must mention that this Casino prides themselves on being LGBT Friendly.

Probar: Is a great Free club to go too, just need to be a resorts member staying the night to enter. It is a Gay,Lesbian,Transgender,Bisexual bar. But everyone is friendly and Fun to be around with. Me and the girls have danced the night away without no one starting trouble.
I stayed at this hotel because of the Diva show and the gay bar at this location. I got a 2 double size bed in an ocean view tower room. The view was nice! It had a full size couch inside, and the room was huge!
The newly renovated rooms are fantastic. The buffet has improved greatly and eating in any of their dining establishments is a real treat. The entertainment at Resorts is first rate including Believe: Divas in a Man’s World, which is good enough to be in Vegas. To top it all off Resorts is the ONLY Casino with a gay bar/nightclub. Both ProBar and Piano Bar are excellent places to get away from all the other action going on at Resorts, as well as the other casinos in Atlantic City. While Harrah’s/Caesars Entertainment are the first one’s to market to and become involved in the LGBT Community and other casinos have done events, Resorts takes everything to the next level.
Very very clean and well maintained rooms and just everything nice and clean and sanitized. The cleanest rooms and Casino in Atlantic City. Your staff should be very proud and should be recognized for what they are doing.

We had a ocean view room and the views were everything! Check in was fast and efficient. Staff was friendly. Everyone that works for the hotel greeted you with a smile and was able to answer your questions.

The decor was modern and nice. Bathroom was a good size.

They had a clean team visible. They were wiping down surfaces constantly.

Pros:
Location- Resorts is a great location! Central on the boardwalk, near steal pier, close to gift ships and dining.Room size- we stayed in the rendezvous tower and the rooms were so spacious. I heard the ocean towers rooms were quite small.Bathroom- the bathrooms were huge with a separate door to the toilet. It’s very convenient for when someone has to go to the bathroom and someone is trying to get ready.Staff- Everyone we encountered was friendly!

Hotel very nice, but neighborhood pretty seedy. Breakfast is good and service is excellent. Has a bar but doesn’t stay open past 9:30 pm. Rooms are comfortable but found the bed a bit to high off the floor. Wi-fi is iffy when given for free. Prompt service for valet parking, hotel charges a one time daily fee of $10:00 +tax, no matter how many times you go out and re-park.

Upon arrival the concierge were very friendly and helpful. The lobby has a bar/restaurant area and self service convenience store.

Our room was on the 14 floor, there are 17 served by 3 lifts. It was a decent size with 2 double beds (quite high to get up on but really comfortable), plenty of draw storage, a flat screen tv and air conditioning that was quiet enough you could have it on at night but it got quite cool. In the entrance corridor was the cupboard with safe inside and a counter with a coffee maker, underneath was a fridge, we made good use of it.

The bathroom was big, with a high marble topped counter and shelf storage below where you will find the hairdryer and a bath with the shower over it. Only bad thing about the bathroom was the plug for the bath didn’t keep the water in and the bathroom door opened in onto the toilet!

On the desk in the room was an information leaflet about the hotel and another leaflet that made recommendations for restaurants and bars in the area, we went to quite a few and were not disappointed.

The hotel was in a good location, albeit it the wrong end of the strip but the boardwalk was at the bottom of the road. Everything was in walking distance and it is perfectly safe at night and there is security all over. Would definitely stay again.

There’s plenty to do besides gambling in AC. We’re about an hour and 1/2 away and we do frequent the Jersey shore (AC included). There are shopping outlets, to include low, mid and high end merchandise. Plenty of excellent restaurants (we love Angelo’s Fairmount Tavern). Brigantine is a very short ride and offers plenty of great beaches, food, and drink (Laguna Grill & Rum Bar is a must). If you’ve never been here, stay at the Courtyard and checkout Trip Advisor for things to do. There’s always something for everyone! Thanks and See ya soon.
