This is a lovely hotel and a refreshing change to some of the hotels in China. The hotel is modern, clean and nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful.
There is a Metro station less than a minute away from the hotel’s entrance and you can be in the major shopping area in less than 15 minutes.
There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel – which is great if you need a snack.
The décor of the room is good. The beds are short if you are very tall. The doonas on the beds are the best we have had in China. We were next to the lifts but could not hear them. So room sound proofing was good.
The shower is very good and includes a clothesline. The basin is large enough to hand wash in. Our clothing dried overnight. We also found a Dry Cleaner/Laundry on the street behind the hotel.
The location is excellent directly above the metro station so easy access to all things Chengdu. The reception at the hotel was like a 5 star greeting, bell staff to greet you on arrival. The lobby is impressive.
The room was spacious and impressive. It was great to get back to a large, comfy double bed once again after the European 2 single beds pushed together awfulness. The bathroom was an OK size. The room had a safe as well. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the a-c worked very well. You need that in Chengdu at this time of year.
The housekeeping was par excellence. I found that with most of the team, everyone more than willing to help. Nothing was a problem. Back to the location, right behind the hotel in the local streets its very much working class Chengdu. I loved it. The small restaurants offering all sorts of food, people friendly, everyone wanting to brush up on their english. I ate at about 4 different places during my stay indulging in duck and rice, meat skewers of different varieties as well as some very unknown things. Live and let live! I did not dine in the restaurants or have breakfast in-house as this was not included in my rate. I think I will try this more often as it forces you to go outside and explore more culinary delights.

It is near a metro station so it’s easy to go anywhere! The hotel is amazing, and you have access to the swimming pool and gym. There was a promotion so we got the room upgraded for free. The location is fine. There are good restaurants just a few steps from the property. Several convenience stores are also very close. Taxi ride to the Panda Research Center is 80 RMB and takes about 20 minutes. The metro station is one block away and took us to all our other sightseeing stops.
I highly recommend Citadines South.
Hotel is brand-new with good facilities such as gym and swimming pool (ask the front office about the location, it is quite tricky at first to locate it). The swimming pool is quite small, but equipped with endless-swim machine, which create a good man-made wave that is quite fun actually.
Citadines South Chengdu is conveniently located in the south side of the city with a subway station just across the street from the hotel ( it gets pretty crowded during rush hours, but will take you to the center of the city in about 30 minutes). This hotel is a fully serviced apartment and offers studio to two bedroom rooms at highly competitive rates. According to my own experience, the executive one bedroom is the best room type.
The bedroom sits between the living room and bathroom, so I didn’t have to worry about the noise coming from my neighbors. As for noise: there’s some street noise during the day, but the area is quiet from about 10pm. The apartment comes with a washer/dryer, and a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator.
There are also English channels on TV (HBO, CNN, etc.). All the rooms are equipped with a safe, which is large enough to fit a small laptop. The air conditioner is very efficient, quiet, and individually controlled ( be aware that some hotels in China have the a/c set to a specific temperature and don’t allow guest to adjust the temperature to their individual preferences, especially during cold winter and hot summer months). Breakfast includes both Chinese and Western breakfast items and is covered by the cost of the room. There is a small gym next to the breakfast area.

The location is great, a lot of restaurants and Coffee shops . It is also very close to Tykoo lee which is a great area to shop and wonder.
The Rhombus Park Aura Chengdu Hotel was recommended to me by a colleague. The hotel’s location was excellent – right across from a major shopping area, cafes (both local and international), transportation, etc.
The rooms were spacious and clean – so lovely almost never wanted to leave. The hotel was great to come back to after a long work-day. The pillow-options were great (recommend the chrysanthemum filled pillow!)
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful – even when there was a language barrier, we always found a way to communicate (normally with the help of a translation app.) Free wifi, lovely welcome snacks/tea and great service.
Rooms comes great views, lush bathroom, ample space for clothes and luggage, and just the right amount of tea/coffee amenities. And a very comfortable bed !!!
Reception staff were very friendly and resourceful, extremely helpful making suggestions and communicated seamlessly with transportation and our conference personnel.
Great breakfast buffet with European/American and Chinese alternatives.
This hotel is 2 blocks or so from the subway (Chunxi Road) which connects to a couple useful lines, like the line to the Panda base. For that it’s great. And the Yakoli shopping area is 2 blocks away, if that sort of expensive shopping is your thing.
Service is impeccable, check in was pain free and all rooms exceeded our expectations.
We opted for G60 rooms which come with a small lounge area and bar. Rooms we’re very quiet and the black out curtains, pillow options and large king size bed ensured we had the best sleep.
Hotel is great value for money, close to amenities and a mall with many food options, both Western and Chinese.
