A magnificent setting that in the winter you can only get to using snow cats. Glorious views everywhere you look
Minimalist in its approach yet managed to feel sumptuous- I am a convert to this place that I spent a few days over Xmas at. It is run by a passionate gentlemen – Sami- who manages everything down a T.
A truly special retreat from the world with wonderful food as well.
Spent a weekend at Chetzeron. I have never had such an incredible experience at a ski resort hotel. The architectural design is a masterpiece of itself. The hotel is located on top of a mountain at 2112 meters. The ability to just ski to and from the hotel was fantastic. Everywhere in the hotel offered gorgeous views across the valley and the mountains. The rooms were modern, generously spacious with large windows providing breathtaking views. Rooms are modern with good amenities. Excellent restaurant and bar.
As there are only a couple dozen rooms at Chetzeron, it has a small boutique hotel feeling as if you feel you are in your own home. Staff were awesome.
Best part of the Chetzeron experience was meeting the owner Mr. Sami, a passionate hotelier who ensures all of his guests feel welcome and at home.
The Chetzeron is a unique hotel in an incredible setting. We were lucky enough to spend a couple of nights at this beautiful place and it will go into my memory as one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed.
Getting to the hotel is an adventure in itself, but as I see it that’s part of the charm. Taking the funicular from Sierre-Siders to Crans-Montana and then a cable car to the top of the mountain where we were picked up by hotel staff.
Our room was immaculate, perfectly appointed with a massive window and daybed to take in the spectacular views. The room was very large, and the bed was just so comfortable.
Breakfast was served with the most amazing views across the Swiss Alps and the quality of the food and service matched the hotel and setting.
The issue with staying in a beautiful hotel that ticks all the boxes is that you become complacent about just how good it really is. The dinner menu was limited but the food on offer was plentiful and tasty which probably undersells the quality of the restaurant.
The hotel staff were the jewel in the crown. It is one thing to have a beautiful hotel in an amazing setting but that would all be tarnished if the service was poor. The staff at Chetzeron are to be commended, I wish I took more names to include in this review but a special thanks to Stefan for his help, good humour and patience throughout our stay.
My Chetzeron experience will live with me forever.

The hotel was exactly as expected and with its charming character it was a very special place to stay, in a lovely location.
What always makes the difference is the staff and the level of friendly service could not be faulted. We were greeted with a warm welcome and they managed to rustle up some food for us when they were just about to close the kitchen.
Crans-Montana offers lots of bars and restaurants and do make sure you head up the mountain (especially to see the glacier). When we stayed the tourism department provided us with vouchers for free travel on the lifts/gondolas and also 100 CHF to use at local restaurants, which made a huge difference.
Hotel is well equipped, dinner/lunch is to die for especially the fondue and the escargot, very nice wooden rooms with a nice view, staff are very friendly and helpful. Feels like you are at home.

The hotel is quietly located above the village with great views of the valley below and the mountain ranges. It is a culmination of taste and chalet style elegance. The interiors are tasteful and all areas are nicefully appointed. You feel like being in the private home of a wealthy friend. Staff is uber nice and friendly everywhere. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds and beautifully furnished with great bathrooms.
The restaurant has a fine ambience with very good food and a great selection of wines. Service is impeccable. Don’t miss the chef’s table in the kitchen. The spa and the pool area is cosy and you hardly want to leave again. Great for skiers is the ski-in/ ski-out locatíon with easy access to the slopes.
Beautiful hotel with only 15 rooms and suites, chalet style. The view is extraordinary with the Alps in full view including the Mont Blanc. Suites are very nicely decorated and we had a terrace with a great view as well. The spa is great with a good range of treatments and nice outdoor swimming pool, ham man and jacuzzi.
There are only 15 rooms/suites in total so the hotel isn’t very big but they want you to feel at home. We were then shown to our amazing suite and welcomed with a glass of champagne.
We had the Atlas Suite which was decorated a little like a Moroccan style room. The bathroom had an enormous jacuzzi bath and separate shower and the bedroom gave way to a living area. The suite has a large terrace with those amazing views again. Each room is decorated differently and you can see the style of them on the website. I would suggest having a good look at these so you know what you are getting when you book in case you are fussy as they really vary.
The spa is really good. They can do all sorts of treatments with Cinq Monde products. We had a massage each which was much appreciated after some mountain biking and hiking! They have an indoor lap pool with jet stream, a jacuzzi and a lovely outdoor pool. We had hot sunny weather and were able to make the most of this space but i imagine it would be atmospherique in the rain or snow as well.
Their Mont Blanc restaurant, which services breakfast, lunch and dinner is excellent. An a la carte breakfast is included in your room rate and it was delicious. We didn’t have lunch although there were always other guests and visitors enjoying the terrace and dinner was wonderful. The atmosphere is elegant and luxurious but fairly relaxed at the same time. A perfect combination we thought.
The room rates are very high but you don’t pay extra for parking, breakfast, wifi, water and soft drinks in the mini bar so it takes the edge off. At the end of the day it is a very luxurious and exclusive mountain retreat and is kept that way by attracting a very high level of clientele. With only 15 rooms/suites it felt very tranquil and quite often, when guests are out or in their rooms, it is easy to imagine you are in your own chalet!
We can’t wait to go back and i will be recommending it to everyone.
