Our room had a bathroom with a western toilet and was very clean, which was nice since my son had a stomach bug for two days. The hostess personally made porridge for him that night since all the surrounding restaurants had closed for the evening. We got a little bit lost on our way there but the lovely couple that runs the hotel came to our rescue to pick us up and also drove us to the train station on our last day. (I highly recommend to rent a car anyway when visiting DaLi and ErHai Lake.)
