Galway, a harbour city on Ireland’s west coast, sits where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. The city’s hub is 18th-century Eyre Square, a popular meeting spot surrounded by shops and traditional pubs that often offer live Irish folk music. Nearby, stone-clad cafes, boutiques and art galleries line the winding lanes of the Latin Quarter, which retains portions of the medieval city walls.

Stayed here and paid the extra 10 euro for a room overlooking the bay. On arrival excellent car park underneath the hotel, lift straight to very nice reception area. Staff were superb throughout our stay, every one friendly and polite.
Room was excellent, very clean and comfortable. The view was stunning. We had dinner in the hotel special mention for the crab cakes absolutely superb. Dinner was also priced very reasonably.
Breakfast was also very good. Altogether a very good hotel located in a stunning part of Ireland. Galway is a superb place to spend a few days in. Very relaxing.
Room: got a room with the river view. It’s nice and peaceful. The spacious room looked like it’s been renovated. Everything was in good condition, nice and clean. The AC room made the stay much more comfortable. It turned out that this was the only hotel of the whole Ireland itinerary that had AC room.Location: It’s one block from a bus station and several block from the train station. But it’s about 15 to 20 mins walk to the tourist areas, not too bad since the town was no too big anyway.
They hotel restaurant offered a pretty good breakfast with many hot and cold items. And It’s so enjoyable to have a beautiful view of the Galway Bay during breakfast.
The hotel is fab! The bed is comfy, the rooms are spacious but cosy and its always just a relaxing weekend away, and then you have the spa which just adds to the luxury and being able to enjoy the little getaway.
The staff are lovely, the bar and the restaurant and you cant fault the food – the steak and the fish are delish and then brekkie in bed – can you beat that?
I love coming back here and the staff are always so friendly and helpful and I look forward to coming back for my next stay.
. Our room was nicely furnished and on the large side. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom had both a soaking tub and a large walk-in shower, plus twin sinks. Being on the top floor, we had a private balcony.
This is a new hotel with modernist decor. There is a large bar and a restaurant on the premises. These share the same menu and drinks list. We had a reservation for afternoon tea when we arrived. This seemed to confuse the waitress, but fortunately not the kitchen. The selection of dainty little dishes was outstanding. Reserve at least 24 hours ahead. Buffet breakfasts and the dinner we had here were very good.
A really outstanding feature is the large well-designed indoor swimming pool with indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, a good sauna and a steam room and a well-equipped gym. Guests are entitled to use this suite without charge but should know that swimming caps are required in Ireland. Don’t have one? No problem. They can be purchased for 3 Euros. There is also a spa, but I didn’t try it.
I recommend this hotel, especially for its practical features.

The main streets of Galway are a 3 minute walk from the hotel. As we were walking back from dinner, we were very happy with a little separation from the hustle and bustle for the tourist areas.
The room (Superior King – Bed & Breakfast) was lovely and well appointed. even being on the street side of the hotel, the room was quite, Being from the US, we did not immediately know why there was a button on the shower hot/cold knob, but once we found that, plenty of hot water was available for a shower.
The breakfast buffet is plentiful and very good. Eggs to order (Fried/poached) available upon request (no extra charge). Omelets and pancakes to order are an extra charge.
Given the opportunity to visit Galway again, I would not hesitate to stay at the Harbour Hotel again.
Galway City is a lot smaller than it looks on the map and we therefore found that we were able to walk into the vibrant centre in just a few minutes – and yet, be far enough away not to be troubled by noise. Our room was lovely – very large double bed, smart bathroom, view of the harbour. Breakfasts were, as you’d expect, tasty and plentiful in choice. Serving staff first class.
The harbour hotel is in an excellent location a short few minutes walk to shop street and all the centres facilities and lively atmosphere.
Very friendly helpful and efficient staff

Spacious well-appointed and clean room

I stayed 2 nights in the newly refurbished rooms that were a lovely soothing color scheme with comfortable beds. Dillisk bar had great food and drink, and breakfast was outstanding. The freshest fruit and all you could wish for to start your day.
The room was large, very clean, and very comfortable. The parking was 8 euros per night and we considered it a bargain since it is covered parking and attached to the hotel. No worry about unloading in the rain! The Harbor Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Quay Street, wonderful restaurants, and great pubs. Nice to be able to have a drink and walk back to the hotel.
Harbour hotel is a lovely hotel set in the heart of Galway docks! 5 min walk from Spanish Arches, Eyre square & The Latin quarter & main train/bus station. Room was clean tidy & I was provided with sanitising wipes & a fresh remote.
