1. Rosewood Guangzhou Hotel 5* – Gay Friendly Hotels Guangzhou

Gay Friendly Hotels Guangzhou

Set in Guangzhou, 1.1 km from Guangzhou Opera House, Rosewood Guangzhou features a fitness centre and views of the city. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation offers a concierge service, and luggage storage for guests.

The units come with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kettle, a bath, a hairdryer and a desk. At the hotel all rooms come with a wardrobe and a private bathroom.

Rosewood Guangzhou is situated in Guangzhou tallest building, the 530-meter-high Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre. The ultra-luxury hotel features 251 guestrooms and 355 Rosewood Residences, 23 of which are duplex apartments. Dining options include seven food and beverage venues: a Chinese Restaurant, bistro, bar, lobby lounge and gourmet corner and, on the 107th floor, a contemporary, cosmopolitan restaurant and a sky bar with cigar humidor area and fully equipped wine corner and cellar, incorporating both indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Manor Club, Rosewood’s residentially styled executive lounge, offers exclusive amenities, services, refreshments and surroundings.

Past the hotel’s stately vermillion-red lacquered front doors and the five-meter-high ground floor lobby, guests can access the hotel lobby on the 95th floor by taking one of the world’s fastest elevators, which travel 21 metres per second. Upon arrival at the sky-high lobby level with its elegant residential touches, you would be greeted by the surreal juxtaposition of the outdoor garden terraces’ lush greenery with the expanse of clear sky right beyond. From the lift lobby, a plushly carpeted walkway leads you to the check-in counters, past which another elevator lobby takes you to the guest room levels as well as the Manor Club and restaurants located on the building’s highest floors.

Like most other Rosewood properties, exquisite artworks can be found throughout the premises, from the blue flowerbed piece in the grand entrance hall by Sichuan-born artist Zhuang Hong Yi – crafted using traditional Chinese rice paper – and various paintings from Chinese artists such as Pan Jian, Kaixuan Feng and Ye Cheng adorning the walls of the hotel to the social media-iconic “Balance” installation on the lobby level depicting a generously-hipped dame maintaining her balance whilst walking on water.

The hotel houses a whopping seven F&B concepts, all of which have their own outdoor terrace space for al fresco dining: Japanese restaurant Brick Iron and the adjacent cocktail bar Too-High Bar, both of which are situated on the 107th floor and enjoy the distinction of being the highest restaurant and bar respectively in Mainland China; afternoon tea lounge Patina Living Room and all-day dining restaurant Patina European Brasserie & Terrace on the 95th floor; Chinese restaurant Lingnan House and gastrobar Brick Lane, located on the 5th and 6th floor respectively and connected via a staircase; and grab-and-go eatery, patisserie and deli Sesame on the ground floor.

In terms of wellness, the hotel’s impressive Asaya Active is one of the region’s largest wellness centres. Spanning across the 93rd and 94th floors, the wellness centre offers relaxation lounges, a yoga studio, a 25-metre long indoor pool with jacuzzi facilities, a sprawling fitness centre with the latest Artis range of Technogym equipment as well as spa facilities with steam and salt rooms, daybeds and temperature therapy pools. The entirety of the two levels feels like the premises of a luxurious spa, and Asaya Active certainly redefines the concept of wellness facilities for hotel guests, with the amenities feeling like actual itinerary events given the luxuriousness involved as opposed to mere incidental facilities available to staying guests.

CLUB RIVER ROOM

Overlooking the Pearl River and proudly looking down at the top of the 103-storey Guangzhou International Finance Center (!), the 56sqm Club River Room channels a refined Chinese residence, featuring warm wood and royal blue lacquer accents, neutral and earthy tones as well as flashes of Chinese tradition, from the Chinese artworks which adorn the walls and the decorative calligraphy brush to the large lion stamp seal on the work desk and the specially-designed tea set in the pantry. A bronze-framed screen partitions the sleeping area from the window-side living area where guests can unwind and take in the magnitude of the rare city view from such a high floor.

The room features modern technological touches, including automatic blinds and sheers, a 42” Philips HD TV and a Bose sound speaker for amping up the beats. Elsewhere, the pantry is equipped with Nespresso and local Chinese tea-making facilities, while the mini-bar is stocked with a bottle of Peddler’s Gin (China’s first craft gin) and Rosewood Guangzhou-branded Negroni along with the usual sparkling water, beers, juices and soft drinks.

The travertine-clad bathroom features two mirrors (but just one sink, with the other serving as a dresser), an additional lighted make-up mirror, a built-in bathtub and rainfall shower facilities. The stridently perfumed bathroom amenities are from Lorenzo Villoresi.

Club room guests enjoy access to the Manor Club.

MANOR CLUB

Perched on the highest level of the hotel on the 108th floor, the Manor Club bears the distinction of being China’s highest elevation club lounge. Available only to the hotel’s most esteemed guests, the exclusive social space boasts private check-in and check-out facilities, spacious lounge and dining areas as well as wraparound outdoor terraces which offer stunning purple ombre sunset views.

The afternoon tea presentation features cold brew teas, fresh fruits, savoury pastries such as char siew puffs as well as patisserie-style dainty sweets like Red Velvet Cake, Lemon Tart and a deliriously sinful Chocolate Tart which is probably the product of procreation between a Mars Bar and Snickers Bar. However, the evening cocktail and canapes presentation left a deeper impression, boasting an extensive alcohol selection with proper bar spirits and pours – think Diplomatico and Plantation rum, Botanist and Citadelle gin, Tried & True vodka, Macallan 12 Year Double Cask and Lagavulin 12 Years Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky along with Chandon brut and Deutz champagne. A la minute dishes such as Wagyu Sliders with Onion Compote and Cheddar Cheese, Baked Gnocchi with Mozzarella and Tomato Sauce and Beef Brisket Noodles with Choi Sum and buffet options like Pan-fried Gyoza, Prawn Salad, Japanese Tofu and a naughtily moist Rum Baba assist in the lining of one’s stomach amidst all the liquid festivities. A small selection of cocktails such as Negroni and Martini are also available for order.

See why so many gay  travelers make H Life Hotel their hotel of choice when visiting Guangzhou. Providing an ideal mix of value, comfort and convenience, it offers an array of amenities designed for travelers like you.

Close to some of Guangzhou’s most popular landmarks, such as South China Agricultural University (1.2 mi) and Party Pier (1.5 mi), H Life Hotel is a great destination for tourists.

Rooms at H Life Hotel provide air conditioning and a minibar, and guests can stay connected with free wifi.

The location is great and you can walk to a variety of different places with shops close by. The only thing that was a bit weird was going up to the 17th floor and then down to your room in a different elevator.

This hotel occupies several floors of a larger building so you have to go up for the lobby and then (oddly) down for rooms. But the rooms are very large and spacious – comfortable and well-equipped. Staff generally helpful, but be prepared to wait at the lifts. Breakfast was a good range of Chinese and Western to suit your taste – the dining room has great views of the main business district.

H’Elite is a great value and has great location. The lobby is on the 17th floor. The rooms are on floors below 17 (12-17 floor i believe). Like others have said, the rooms are clean and very spacious. With that said, Guangzhou rooms in general are on the larger side when comparing to Hong Kong.

I would recommend this place for those on work trips in Guangzhou. It’s close to shopping malls with good food. As well as within a block from the nearest Metro. Zhujiang New Town station.

Absolutely a value for money for the people who doesn’t require much luxury but centre of city location for quick commute.
It’s approx 1hr 10mins drive ( will cost 175-180RMB approx) in normal Guangzhou Traffic and rooms are absolutely spacious with simple but elegant furniture.

Front desk staffs are not only efficient but also extremely helpful. The moment they see foreigners, they call a team member who speaks English. May be that’s not Oxford English but serves the purpose and moreover they are extremely eager to serve you better.

Breakfast menu is elaborate but in 2 separate sections, so need to search before concluding about the spread. 5th floor Chinese restaurant is just amazing. Area is surrounded by shopping malls , so shopping for self of loved one wasn’t a challenge.

5. Langham Place Guangzhou 5* – Gay Friendly Hotels Guangzhou

Langham Place Guangzhou
Langham Place Guangzhou

The gorgeous Guangzhou Langham Hotel is just a 2-minute walk from Pazhou International Exhibition Centre. It features an indoor swimming pool, 5 dining options and luxurious rooms with light décor and upscale amenities. Canton Tower is a 10-minute drive away.

Langham Hotel is a 5-minute walk from Xingang Dong Subway Station and a 15-minute drive from Zhujiang New Town. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is a 45-minute drive away. Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort is a 20-minute drive away.

All rooms come with ironing facilities, a seating area and a minibar. The ample bathrooms include free toiletries and both a bathtub and shower facilities.

Langham Place, Guangzhou is located adjacent to the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre, and offers easy access to nearby transportation stations and a host of city hotspots. Exemplifying modern arts with cutting-edge design, the hotel consists of 500 stylish and contemporary guestrooms with an expansive cityscape and views of the Pearl River.

The hotel offers discerning travellers elegant hospitality, luxurious accommodation, extensive catering and meeting facilities spanning over 5,000sq m (53,000sq ft), five restaurants and bars, the best fitness centre and signature Chuan Spa.

The hotel is spectacular. The construction is beautiful and has a lot of art on it. The rooms are nice and the service is excellent. A plus is that is in a walking distance from the Canton Fair.

It is right in front of the exhibition center and in a 2 minutes walking distance you are inside the fair. The Langham is a beautiful luxury hotel with all the amenities you can possibly think of and every possible confort you may need when far away from home or after a trying day of work. Restaurants are all good but only Ming Curt, the Chinese one deserves to be recalled as memorable. I definitely suggest it.

Rooms are spot on and staff is helpful and professional. I also appreciate the flower arrangements that made my staying even more pleasant. Finally, considering the great level of the place, the position and that I was there during the fair, the room rates are quite convenient.

Hotel is right next to the convention center and it is only 20 minutes away from the CBD via taxi. Rooms are spacious and bright with all the modern amenities one would expect at a 5 star establishment.

The best thing about the hotel is the Executive Lounge. Staffs were very attentive and seemed genuinely care about my well being. I was greeted with a smile everyday and every request I made was swiftly executed without faults.

A slight downside is that the hotel is isolated from shops and does require a 5 minute ride to the nearest external restaurants and / or shops.

Nestled in the quiet surrounding of Pa Zhou between the mighty Zhu Jiang river and its back waters, most rooms offer a splendid views of the riverfront and the city afar. Even the standard rooms are spacious and complete with all amenities that one would expect from a top tier hotel.

There are a large variety of in-house cuisine to choose from; ranging from fine Italian dining to authentic Guangdong style restaurant. Together with a well equipped fitness centre, there is also a beauty Spa that offers massages and beauty treatments at most agreeable prices. Staff is genuinely friendly and always ready to greet and offer help to a guest in need. Though catching a cab into the city might prove to be a problem, especially during the busy Canton Fair, then my suggestion is to stay in and enjoy the hotel.
