This hotel is in a great location. There is food all around with a walk down Victoria St. Also, the river walk is right next door, so one may get some exercise. The staff in the bar and restaurant were helpful and friendly.
The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Bathroom is a bit tight, but nicely appointed. The exercise room is limited, handling 2-3 people, as long as everyone doesn’t want to use their only treadmill.

Beds are comfy, rooms are large, with fridge and tea making fixtures in the room. Parking is free and WiFi works well. There is a nice patio with a tiny pool and tables where you can sit for the good selection continental breakfast.
The location on a quiet side street was ideal and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. There is a large free car park with some spaces under cover. Check in was friendly and included advice on local attractions. Our double bed room came with all the usual facilities – fridge, tea/coffee, aircon, TV, free single sign-in wifi. The well sized en suite had a spa bath and plenty of worktop space. The complimentary continental breakfast offered a wide enough choice for us.
It is quite a distance to walk to Victoria street, which is the Main Street with all of the restaurants so if you love walking for about 20 minutes to get there then this is a good place.
Ventura inn and suites was a pleasant surprise. It is a modern motel with suites at the edge of downtown hamilton, easy to get to with free parking, some of it covered. Over several floors, with a lift, there are a number of common areas and a big breakfast area. Breakfast was simple continental but had fruit, yogurt, toast, rolls, juice and some cereal, I think.
Unfortunately, the hot drinks come out of a machine. The room and bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a tub and shower. There was a small fridge and tea making gear. Wifi worked great. The staff was great and it was a short walk to restaurants, pubs and businesses on Victoria Street. The FMG Stadium was about 1 1/2 miles away so also walkable. I look forward to staying here again.
The location is very central, walk into town and to the nice restaurants in Victoria Street.
It was a simple, standard hotel, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The rooms had basic amenities; and tea/coffee making facilities.
Continental breakfast with lots of choices was included in the price in the dining area downstairs. There was a gym and a small pool outdoor.
There were plenty of off street parking, and some were undercover. It was very convenient to get in and out.
We enjoyed staying there and would definitely return.

Very clean, efficiently run hotel. Staff was great, very nice. In an area convenient for tourists, and LDS temple is very close. When in New Zealand just remember to turn your appliances on.
The one bedroomed unit was clean, spacious, and nicely appointed. It was in a great location, handy to the rugby ground and the city centre. Lovely people managing the place and excellent value for money. We will stay there again happily.
Convenient location close to the city centre. Rooms were well designed and with excellent amenities. Staff were extremely accommodating and able to assist with multiple stay extensions. Facilities such as the on-site gym really set it apart.
The room is spacious and well-designed. Our unit (unit 7) was on ground level and we could park right outside. The unit had a separate bedroom, a small dining area, and a yard that has a heated hot tub. Perfect for couples.
There isn’t a cooking area but there’s a microwave oven. So you can still do takeaways and heat them up – which was what we did. We took away some Thai food from a nearby restaurant.
Atrium on Ulster is near to many restaurants and also the city centre, though not right smack in it, which made it convenient but peaceful.
The hot tub provides a lovely soak in cold weather.
