Novotel Hannover – Tradition in modern design. Since many years now, the Novotel Hannover, which was integrated into the former Bahlsen biscuit factory, has been regarded as a popular hotel address in Hanover – both for business and leisure travellers. With its 205 rooms, restaurant, bar & eatery, wellness and fitness area, it offers all the amenities of a 4-star hotel. The rooms as well as the newly designed public area are characterised by modern design and adaptation to the contemporary lifestyle and invite you to work, relax and feel good.

It’s a typical modern, comfortable hotel with a gym, bar, restaurant and all you would expect including tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A comfortable bed and quiet room. We didn’t use the hotel parking as you can park for free all around the hotel, especially along the wood/park.

You can pay 20 Euros each for breakfast, or you can go out to one of the many local bakeries or restaurants open for breakfast and get something great at a fraction of the price, all within easy walking distance. The U Bahn stop is also just a couple of minutes walk away. Lots of nice, local restaurants for dinner, though a good idea to book as they are all popular.

Clean and modern hotel with very good facilities. The rooms are clean, quite spacious, and well equipped. Internet and computer accesses for business purposes are given. The proposed breakfast gave a lot of possibilities and the food quality was irreproachable. Staff at the reception was friendly and efficient. Close to the U-Bahn Lister Platz station.

The hotel is stylish and modern and it feels quite new. Our room was very spacious, clean and modern. The air con worked perfectly on a hot summer day. The breakfast was just superb. Underground car park is located next to the hotel and the overnight charge for the hotel’s guests is 7 Euros, but you need to ask for a discount at reception. I will definitely stay there again. Great value for money.

Nice lobby and bar, hotel rooms comfortable and clean. We’ve booked an executive room, in relation to the room size the bathroom has been tiny. The regulation of the water temperature in the shower has been very difficult, I burned my feed while the temperature shown was 34 degrees C. Friendly staff at the reception. We did not try the breakfast buffet, so no comment on that. The street the hotel lies on is quite busy, the railway station can be reached by foot (1.7km) but there’s a subway and a bus station nearby.

My boyfriend and I spent three nights at the Novotel Hannover recently, and all I can say is that all the great reviews are absolutely true. From the friendly check-in, the beautiful accommodation, the nice spa and the delicious breakfast buffet…. Everything was close to perfection!

The hotel is very conveniently located just two tram stations or about 20 minutes walk from the main train station. It is in a quiet area across the park through which you can comfortably walk to the zoo in about 15 minutes.

A large breakfast buffet is available from 04:00 until 12:00. German and international meals are served in the Hopfen & Malz restaurant each evening. Snacks and drinks are available at the Hotel Ibis’s bar at all times.

This contemporary budget hotel is a 3-minute walk from both Hannover Niedersachsenring and Hannover Dragonerstraße U-Bahn stations, and 3 km from Hanover Zoo.

The relaxed, soundproofed rooms come with free Wi-Fi, desks and flat-screen TVs.

Amenities include breakfast (surcharge), as well as a German restaurant, and a casual 24/7 bar with snacks.

The Ibis Hannover City hotel, located 7 km from the airport and 2 km from the railway station, offers 125 air conditioned rooms with WiFi Internet access, including 2 for guests with limited mobility. Other features include a restaurant, bar, snacks available 24 hours and private parking. Located 2 km from the centre of Hanover, the hotel is close to the Schauspielhaus, the Opera house and Am Aegi theatre as well as Maschsee lake, AWD Arena, AWD Hall and the Hannover Congress Convention Centre.

The hotel is a 20 year old seven-storey block on the edge of the city centre. It has been upgraded to provide many of the current ibis standards (sweet beds, public area décor etc) but equally much of it is still unaltered, although well-maintained, from its construction. It has 125 rooms with charged car parking on site and has good disabled access. The location is excellent for access to the city centre either by car or by tram.

Walking would be difficult and we believe the estimate of 30 minutes without luggage to be slightly optimistic! Traffic always appeared dense on the road and we therefore used the tram. The tram journey to the city centre via the railway station is less than 10 minutes and trams run frequently and the fares are low. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but we did not use them. The hotel has a small soft seating area immediately by the reception desk. There is a computer for public use. In room wifi was free and acceptable. There is a bar which serves the restaurant area. This restaurant area also doubles as a breakfast room.

The hotel would appear to take local groups and certainly was well enjoyed by one business organisation, but remarkably the breakfast room and the self serve counters coped, unlike other hotels we did not find these groups overwhelmed the facilities. As a pleasant surprise – in our experience – the restaurant provides an extensive menu for lunch and dinner. Reasonably priced although with limited choice for vegetarians, but given the willingness of the kitchen to accommodate special diets we had no problem and indeed ate in the hotel restaurant on two occasions.

We took breakfast which was the standard ibis continental fare with three hot options (scrambled and boiled eggs and bacon) but no toast! Akin to other German hotels there were no pastries but rather a lethal-looking waffle machine – we didn’t try this. The spread was generous, of good quality and reasonable value – although we could not have found an alternative close by. Rooms reflect the age of the hotel, but ours was perfectly clean and housekeeping was attentive. The bathroom was the standard ibis shower pod – clean and fully functioning but showing its age. Heating/air-con worked on the top floor. We were at the rear of the hotel overlooking the car park and we experienced no noise. There was some cross room noise but it was not intrusive.

Rooms on the front of the hotel might be noisy because of the main road. Throughout our stay staff were helpful and professional, most had excellent spoken English and all were prepared to help out with our requests. There are building works next door and although these did not trouble us they may cause noise problems during the day when the work advances further. We would recommend the hotel and would return.

The Mercure Hannover’s Relax restaurant serves food from the Lower Saxony region and international dishes. The Relax bar opens every evening.

The Steintor tram stop is a 5-minute walk away from the Mercure Hannover Mitte.

The functional rooms feature flat-screen TVs, desks and free Wi-Fi. Upgraded rooms add minibars, and tea and coffee making facilities. Room service is available and pets are welcome for a fee.

The hotel has a relaxed bar/cafe. Other amenities include parking and breakfast (surcharge).

The 4 star superior Mercure Hannover Mitte offers 171 rooms and was opened in August 2004. It is located in the centre of Hanover, in the immediate vicinity of the pedestrian mall and 800 m from the main train station. It is only a 10 minute drive to the famous Hanover adventure zoo, all the well known museums and the Maschsee lake. Facilities include a restaurant, a bar and meeting facilities on the 6th floor, overlooking the roofs of Hanover.

Gay Friendly and efficient early check-in. Decent sized room overlooking the park. Everything nice and clean and comfortable beds.

No idea why a previous review stated the hotel is in a sordid area. We walked to the rear area of the hotel in the afternoon and found a busy area full of shops, cafes etc. Early evening we went through the park and found ourselves in the main shopping area.

Due to Covid-19, bars, restaurants etc were closed, however takeaway food was available. We decided to have a couple of the hotels microwave frozen meals, these were of a good quality and went well with a bottle of wine in the room.

All of the staff that we came into contact with were both friendly and efficient and we will happily stay here again when next in Hannover.

The hotel offers a nice service and always a warm welcoming at arrival. Rooms are nice and despite it’s inside the town it’s calm and quit. I stayed several times in the hotel and seen for sure minimum 15 different rooms, all have been nice. The bar is very nice for a light dinner from the bar menu or some beverages. The breakfast is very nice and offers a good assortment.

Outside parking and a garage is also offered if you travel by car. With a ten minutes walk from the hotel you reach main city center, train station and the shopping mall Ernst August. Additional around that area you find numerous of nice restaurants for dinner, lunch ie. You reach the airport in around 25-30 min with taxi if there is not any traffic jams.

I can warmly recommend this hotel for a stay in Hannover, regardless if you arrive by car, train or plane. It’s price worthy, clean, good breakfast and last but not least, very nice friendly care taking personnel offering very good service.

The rooms are little bigger size than normal rooms in Europe. The rooms are very clean, well laid out, still look as good as new over the years. The hotel faces a park/cemetery and is not too far of a walk from the main station and main shopping area.

The lobby is modern and well laid out with a bar. The restaurant has an excellent spread for breakfast. I especially enjoy the good breakfast/coffee before heading off to work.

LAN available in the room for a daily fee. Bathrooms are clean with all the necessary items.
I would recommend this hotel over many other hotels I have stayed in Hannover.

The rooms are little bigger sized then normal rooms in Europe (which means we are not stumbling in the room over space despite us being 2 in a room with bags). They are clean, well laid out, still look as good as new over the years. The hotel faces a park (scenic and a view of a park is better than a view of another building) and is a 5 minute walk away from the main station(close enough in terms of accessibility yet no noise from the rail station) and 3 mins away from the main shopping area.

The lobby is modern and well laid out with a bar(to grab an evening drink or a coffee over some business talk while we wait to go out to dinner). The restaurant has a reasonably elaborate spread laid out for breakfast.

The people at the front desk are also helpful and smiling.

We have stayed at the Novotel and other hotels in Hannover but i find this property far better in comparison to most of them. We just keep on coming back here without really closely looking at other alternatives. The only grouse is that at fair times we find rates much higher – sometimes 2x the prices that we can get it even 1 day prior.
