Top attractions to visit in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is an amazing city and well worth visiting. Having traveled extensively also, I would have to say that few cities are on par with HK. In terms of the combo of natural magnificence with mountains and sea combined with amazing architecture, there are only two cities that even come close – San Francisco and Rio

The room was clean, well sized and had a feel that it had been renovated recently.
It’s so close to the temple street market that we ate there and soaked up great Hong Kong vibes.
The hotel has such a well thought out design and a great rooftop bar.
Room was really modern and larger than most. Small rooftop bar with 180 degree view of city lights was awesome. Two blocks from Temple Street food market. A21 and A22 airport Flyer bus stops and Jordan Station even closer. Used A21 to get there, though A22 may have been quicker as earlier stop on route. Used A22 to return to airport, shorter trip but packed because 4th last stop on route.
The hotel is right across the road from the night market with everything you could need at your finger tips. If you leave the hotel door and turn left onto Nathan Road, cross at the first crossing and walk straight down Jordan Road to the third intersection and Temple Street there is a great street restaurant on the corner of Nanking and Temple Street.
There’s a great rooftop bar where you can see the fireworks, but it’s pretty cramped so you need to book. Be warned if you don’t you probably won’t get in

The room is spacious and always kept very clean. The ambience at the Mira is fantastic. The location is great and the Kowloon Park just across Nathan Road is a beautiful place.
The room was overlooking Nathan Rd and Kowloon Park – it was a luxury to be in the heart of Tsim Sh Tsui, yet look out over a green park and open sky. The location could not be better and the service was excellent. We ate breakfast in the hotel which was a top-notch buffet that kept us going for most of the day. The staff were attentive and provided up-to-date and useful information about any protest action that was happening.
The famous ‘egg chairs’ were certainly stylish in the room and were surprisingly comfortable. The hotel provides free wi-fi/4G dongles to use around Hong Kong – fantastic service!
Highly recommended and would return in a heartbeat

Old heritage hotel, with contemporary modern room decor, perfectly located at the start of the Shanghai shopping street and opposite the ferry to mainland Hong Kong. Rooms have free Internet and ocean view rooms have balconies. In-room safe is small, but will hold most valuables. Breakfast buffet is good. No problem for same-sex couples if you book a double room. Great value and reasonable rates for a 5* hotel in Hong Kong.
The facilities and especially the Club Lounge are sensational value for money.
The room amenities are very well thought out with a Nespresso machine to use at your leisure for a genuine cup of coffee as well. The room seems bigger than it is due to the design of the bathroom wall being in glass to create a continuous flow. Coming back after a long day to a great Grohe shower was a pleasure as well. The mini bar has quality items stocked for your convenience but it’s a bit overpriced.
For breakfast the selection of food is excellent including pigged out on the Salmon and Sushi.
The Cordis Hotel Hong Kong has as well pool in the top floor for relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere like a Hawaiian resort in the middle of a busy city.
This is a top-rate hotel for a very reasonable price. The service is top notch and the facilities, especially the gym, are excellent. It’s connected to a shopping mall and public transport. The most memorable thing for me was the breakfast. Fantastic coffee and a wonderful buffet selection. I’ve had many breakfast buffets in 5 star hotels in BKK, but this beats them all.
The property itself and its exceptional staff are first rate. The club rooms have spectacular views of Hong Kong — thrilling by day and night. The rooms are stylishly outfitted, with luxury bathrooms, and all the trappings of a 5-star hotel. The club lounge is fine — a good place to stop for a cocktail after a day in HK, but the complimentary hors d’oeuvres are more what you might expect at a Holiday Inn.
The staff endeavors to make up for that with generous poured drinks and counsel on finding a good dinner spot. Breakfast is the customary Asian embarrassment of riches — superb. The neighborhood is a patchwork of wholesale hardware shops, a massive shopping mall, tiny food stalls and produce markets, red-light activity, and other elements that make each block unlike the one before. I found that the rich texture of the neighborhood yielded constant surprises and was a fun part of the visit Subway access is easy (across the street). And main drags like Nathan and Argyle are just steps away.

In order to provide a healthy and smoke-free environment for global travelers, The Charterhouse Causeway Bay has been completely a smoke-free hotel to ensure our guests a pleasant stay
We exit the luxury area of hotels in HK and our next recommendation for a gay friend hotel in Hong Kong is Charterhouse Causeway Bay which is located on Wan Chai Road (灣仔道) the main road in Wan Chai, on the north side of Hong Kong Island and is only a 5-minute walk from Times Square Mall.
The hotel is walking distance of Causeway Bay (Times Square) and Wan Chai MTR stations and the A11 bus that runs to and from the Airport is also in walking distance
The modern rooms at Charterhouse feature warm lighting and wooden furnishings. Each is equipped with a satellite TV, minibar and personal safe.
Room size is only 16 m² a bit small but for Hong Kong where space is money it’s OK.The room is adequate in size and HK to find this kind of hotel at reasonable price is quite a bargain. Room size is a bit small if you are really into a bigger room, but the standard facility is there.
The breakfast includes a good selection of hot and cold items with something for everyone’s palate. Omelettes, dim sum, cereal, toast, coffee, tea, eggs, salads old cuts.
The Hotel location is excellent – heart of Hong Kong (I think so); we have the MRT, Causeway Bay, about 10/15 minutes of walk and it is at the basement of the famous The Times Square. It took us about an hour from the airport by taxi. Looking for good food was never a problem as there are plenty restaurants around the hotel; there are a few shops that even open for 24-hour, eg. beef noodles. Another interesting place to spent time walking around is the “wet market” down the road across the traffic lights when exit right from the hotel; the market has an English name, it sounds like “Bowrington Market”. It is so lively in the early hour of the morning until past midnight.
The room is reasonably clean. The room decor is traditionally colonial. Clean sheets and comfortable bed. The hotel location is convenient. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre is 15 minutes comfortable walk away over a nice walkway between tower buildings. Close to station and trams. The breakfast selection is reasonable. I just wish the breakfast starts a bit earlier than 7. The check-in and check-out process is an easy process.

Dorms are fairly spacious considering it is HK, with lovely large bathrooms.
It’s the budget accommodation worth every dollar I’ve paid for it. The location is great as it’s close to subway station and bus stops like few minutes’ walk away.
The terrace would be the only area allowing guest to smoke and chat. It’s a good place to interact with other travelers and backpackers around the world.
The location is awesome, there’s great food everywhere and it’s so easy to get to the MTR. The bed’s alright, just a bit squeaky, don’t toss around too much if you’re kinda chunky like me lol. You’ll disturb people from their rest ?
The hostel’s really clean as well and you’re assigned to a personal locker.
For those who’d like to meet new people, just head up to the rooftop area – you’ll meet lots of solo travellers from all over the world!
