Gay Friendly Hotels Ko Kut

Guide to Gay Friendly Hotels in Ko Kut Thailand

Generally speaking, well known hotels &  resorts in the Koh Tao are welcoming towards all LGBTQ couples and most of the 4 & 5* hotels are gay friendly hotels Ko Kut.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Thailand may face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Both male and female same-sex sexual activity are legal in Thailand, but same-sex couples and households headed by same-sex couples are not eligible for the same legal protections available to opposite-sex couples. About eight percent of the Thai population, five million people, are thought to be in the LGBT demographic.

Koh Kood, which is also often spelled as Koh Kut , is a great island to visit and probably the best in Thailand for lovers of beaches, jungles and waterfalls. Plus the roads are almost deserted, making it an ideal island for exploring by scooter. As with Koh Mak there isn’t a vehicle ferry to the island.

Koh Kood, also known as Ko Kut, is an island in the Gulf of Thailand. The island is administered as part of the Ko Kut District in Thailand’s Trat Province.

These are the best places for couples seeking tours in Ko Kut:

1. The Beach Natural Resort Koh Kood 4* – Gay Friendly Hotels Ko Kut

The Beach Natural Resort Koh Kood
The Beach Natural Resort Koh Kood

Located in the middle of the crescent shaped Bang Bao Bay on the island of Koh Kood, the Beach Natural Resort is surrounded by white sand beach and beautiful blue bay. The shallow waters make it the safest on the island.

Private terraces on each villa and bungalow allow guests to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the resort. Each bungalow has a private bathroom with a hot shower. Some units include a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the residence.

Guests can enjoy an authentic Thai aroma massage, try water activities like scuba diving or enjoy the sunset from the resort’s pier.

The Beach Natural Resort and were blown away by the views from the hotel lobby. Everything else was just as amazing. We stayed in a Natural Cottage room which was spacious and well equipped. The bed was a true king, not a couple of doubles pushed together, and was easily the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in Asia! The entire room was very well appointed with very good AC, a skylight in the bathroom, safe and lots of nice little touches.

The resort is located in a beautiful setting in Ao Bang Bao. Everything about the resort was first class, but the warmth and friendliness of the staff was unparalleled, even for the renowned Thai friendliness. The included buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied and was absolutely delicious. It had perhaps the best bacon I have ever had. It was nice and thin with just the right crispiness. There was an equal amount of Western and Asian food choice with an abundant selection of fruit and juices, and premium coffee. Lunch and dinner food items were equally as good, albeit with secluded resort prices which are to be expected given your isolated location.

Even then, the prices were still relatively cheap. Seating for breakfast, lunch, or dinner was available in several locations: either inside or outside right at the restaurant, or down on tables on the sand by the beach, or on a raised deck also by the beach. At night, there are fairly lights with tables set right on the sand. I can’t think of a better place to enjoy a meal or a happy hour beverage. Happy hour, with deals on beer and drinks happened every day from 4-6. Sitting up by the restaurant or down by the beach watching the sunset was memorable. The beach was crystal clear and was nice and calm given that it’s located within a bay. Although the beach is not your typical wide sandy beach, it was nevertheless beautiful with a sandy bottom. The hotel has several entrances into the beach including two step ladders down from the dock. The water is perfectly calm. Kayaks were available, which we used frequently, for free.

There is not much to do at night in terms of nightlife as Ko Kut is a rather quiet island, but that’s exactly what we were looking for. So, don’t go there expecting Phuket style nightlife. Scooters are available for rent, which we did, but be advised that the roads on Koh Kut are very steep and windy! This is not the island to learn how to ride a scooter. Also, there are some restaurants and convenience stores outside of the resort, but it’s quite a hike to get there walking if you don’t have a scooter. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The resort is absolutely beautiful, is located in a beautiful location, the staff are incredibly friendly, the food is great, and the beach is amazing. The prices are not exactly cheap, but you are always going to pay a premium for being somewhat isolated. For us, the cost was well worth the value we got from our visit and we would highly recommend The Beach Natural Resort.

Overall the experience is good: the location is great, the beach is just perfect with lot of shade coming from the trees, the hotel is very quiet.

All the staff since the beginning has been always so friendly and caring for us at any time. The restaurant has very good food and I have appreciated a lot that the Chef every time go around the tables asking the opinion of the guests. The beach is always clean and it is a nice spot to stay. You can see a very wonderful sunset. The rooms are fully equipped and they are always cleaned well.

+ quiet location
+ new and clean rooms
+ comfortable beds and very good quality of bed sheets
+ good value for money when it comes to accommodation
+ strong air con in the room
+ informative reception, helpful reception staff
+ polite restaurant and breakfast kitchen staff

The bed provided an amazingly comfortable night’s sleep, and the room temperature was ideal. The beach was incredible – crystal clear water, beautiful sand, and water temperatures at 31 degrees C!!! We used the free kayak on both days.

Breakfast was a HUGE treat – eggs cooked to order, omelets, French toast, or pancakes – all equally delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. Fresh fruit, coffee/tea, toast, cereal, juices, and a Thai breakfast dish were also available. We ate lunches and dinners at the resort, and had such wonderfully fantastic service for those meals as well. Prices for the meals were affordable, and the food quality was excellent. Many Thai dishes to choose from, but also a nice selection of sandwiches and delicious juices as well.

The resort’s room photos are same as the website show and it is in front of the beach. The environment is very nice. Interior design of resort room is modern and it is very clean. The BBQ dinner is also delicious and pineapple fried rice. I stay for one night and spend a relax holiday there. The beach is clean and also you can borrow the appliance for free to playing such as small boat and surfing broad.

Our 42 well-appointed private pool villas offer you a chance to relax and revel in a tropical paradise in an environmentally friendly setting, indulge in non-motorized beach diversions and enjoy various marine activities as well as the opportunity to trek amid the lush surrounding of Ko Kut.

Thailand is blessed with some of the most breathtaking islands that the world has to offer but none really comes close to Koh Kood. Located in the southern Gulf of Thailand just north of the Cambodian border, Koh Kood is a completely untouched paradise like nowhere we have been before. Blanketed in dense virgin rainforest, pristine white sand beaches and clear turquoise blue waters, you wont find any high rise hotels or gigantic mega resorts here, just small family operated homestays and rustic beach bungalows dotted along the beaches. But if you are anything like us and looking for that touch of luxury and a little bit of pampering, then High Season Pool Villa & Spa is the place you need to be.

Arriving at High Season Pool Villa & Spa we are welcomed by the lovely check-in staff and our beautiful host, Nicky. After check-in we are lead along the winding paths through the lush gardens to our villa. The Deluxe Pool Villa was more amazing than we had imagined, constructed entirely of natural materials but coupled with the utmost luxury in mind, the villa offers up complete luxury with its beautifully designed interiors, double king sized bed, luxury bathroom with rain shower and a huge tub, complimentary mini bar and a sunken lounge room that opens up onto the terrace to your very own private plunge pool… just what we were looking for on our island getaway.

The resort is situated along a private stretch of the picturesque Klong Chao Beach with its pure white sands and crystal clear waters that offers up some of the best swimming on the island, the waters are calm and peaceful and if you have had enough of swimming there is no shortage of comfortable sun lounges to laze away the day sipping a fresh coconut or one of High Season’s signature cocktails. If for some reason you are not in the mood for the beach but feel a swim, a dip in the Galaxy Pool is nothing short of amazing. The Galaxy Pool is the largest saltwater pool on the Island and is the perfect place to soak up the sun or get in a few laps to burn off some calories from all of the delicious food you have been indulging in.

Speaking of food, High Season has two of the best restaurants on the island. Firstly, there is the Beachfront Restaurant where breakfast is served with a sumptuous array of freshly made dishes that vary from day to day and coupled with complimentary champagne, it’s the perfect start to your blissful day. The Beachfront Restaurant is also open all day offering up delicious traditional Thai and international dishes, it is beautiful with its open-air design and fresh cooling ocean breeze blowing in from the sea. If for some reason you have had enough of Thai flavours, the Italian restaurant has been awarded the best Italian food on the island, serving up authentic wood-fired pizzas, pasta, mezze platters and salads as well as amazing desserts. Downstairs from the Italian restaurant is The Coffee Terrace, which has delicious freshly made barista style coffee, fruit smoothies and cakes.

And for that something a little extra special and romantic you can make a booking for a private dinner at the Bird’s Nest. The Bird’s Nest which is perched high up in the trees overlooking the beach it is the perfect place to watch those unforgettable sunsets while enjoying one of the most delicious meals. We were lucky enough to enjoy a private dinner in the Bird’s Nest and it was such an amazing experience we will not soon forget.

Another unforgettable experience is a visit to the High Spa. High Spa takes a completely holistic approach to their treatments with completely organic products to promote inner and outer bliss. Their focus is on complete wellness and relaxation during their treatments, entering into High Spa you are transported to a place of absolute calmness with the scent of essential oils, trickling waters and soft rhythmic music. With a wide selection of treatments from Spa Wellness Packages, Signature Massages, Body and Facial Treatments you are sure to come out feeling relieved and completely relaxed after a visit. They also have seaside massages exclusively available at Sala Massage which we couldn’t pass up, there is nothing quite like being pampered whilst listening to the sounds of the ocean and the breeze rustling in the coconut trees.

High Season Pool Villa & Spa also have a wide variety of daily activities such as morning yoga sessions, Muay Thai boxing classes, traditional cooking classes, kayaking, paddle boarding, tours to various places around the island and they can also organise private day tours to some of the neighbouring islands and reefs for some of the best snorkelling is Thailand. Or you could do as we did and hire a scooter and explore the island at your own pace, in our opinion it is the best way to see Koh Kood. There are so many tiny back roads that wind their way through the rainforest and rubber plantations, amazing viewpoints and beautiful beaches and coves just waiting to be discovered. High Season Pool Villa & Spa is one of those special places that you instantly fall in love with the minute you arrive, we can’t quite put our finger on just what it was. We think it was just a complete combination of everything from the resort itself that feels like a tropical home away from home, the pristine untouched environment, the services on offer and also the outstanding care that all of the staff have towards their customers, everyone is treated like family. We are so grateful to have been able to spend time in this secret oasis and we already know that it will not be our last time.
