Like its sister hotels in Delhi and elsewhere it boasts unique entertainment facilities, including for many years the hippest bar and nightclub in town. The rooms have been upgraded, with up to date bathrooms and super comfortable beds, in a variety of styles. The service and food are always excellent and there is a good gym and pool. The Park Kolkata is situated right in the heart of the touristic, business and entertainment centre of the city: immediately next door to the National Museum and famous restaurants of Park Street such as Peter Cat.
Their personalised hospitality and service and friendly staffs and most preferable the location at the heart of the city where everything is nearby. Zen their oriental restaurant was up to the mark Agniva and Suvadeep was there and they delivered the promising service and quality to our plate and also their sumptuous buffet at Bridge.
The hotel is stylish and classy and we had an exceptional time. We stayed in the Luxury rooms which have a very modern and stylish decor complete with 42 inch TV, wooden floor and shower cubicles with rain shower in bathroom. The food was great we enjoyed the Thai meal at Zen and the order was taken by the Thai chef himself. The coffee shop has excellent buffet at lunch serving Indian and Continental food.
The rooms are not huge, but they are well appointed, the bathroom had plenty of room and hanging space and the amenities were good quality. Importantly the bed was comfortable and the pillows just right. The air conditioning was quiet and super-efficient – the best way to control it was to switch it off! the wifi is included in the tariff and it’s fast.
I had breakfast at the Bridge, which was a well-presented buffet with plenty of variety; and very good coffee. I also entertained some guests there a couple of times; lovely staff and good food.
As for location, well that’s just right. Close to everything I needed and I could walk to most places.

The hotel is very close to City <span class=”_3f5ztoLj”>Center 1 shopping mall. The hotel is very comfortable and staffs are well behaved.
The Sonnet was an ideal base during this period. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, with a large comfortable bed and a good sized desk for when I was working in my room. There was a wide range of options for breakfast, including European style as well as local.
The staff were always pleasant and efficient. Quick laundry service and well presented meals provided with room service. The room service menu was much more extensive than at many other hotels.
The hotel is well located, within a few minutes walk of the City Centre Mall with its many restaurant options. The room was large and bright with soothing coloured upholstery. The bathroom was great, stocked with great amenities. Bath quality was superb…both the pressure and water temperature.
Food and service was extremely good…specially their Bengali food. You should try their fish in mustard curry and the mishti doi (sweet yoghurt). The buffet breakfast was also quite elaborate and tasty. I especially loved the masala omelette.
Special mention should be given to the small kiosk that stocks items from Bengal…screes, stoles, tea and other handicraft items that could make as a gift for a person.
A small but well staffed hotel, close to the Airport and also walking distance from shopping mall. The rooms were clean and spacious, reasonably priced. Good breakfast spread. Small but functional gym. But to top it up are their “ever friendly and accommodating staffs”. Very impressed with each and everyone there starting from the doorman to reception, restaurant, housekeeping and laundry.. all of them wants to go that extra mile to take care of you! Sure to be my choice in Calcutta next time I am there.

This magnificent hotel brings you the luxury of space, the burnished gleam of aristocratic décor and the hushed elegance of homes that have celebrated the finest nuances of art, culture, music, cuisines. It cherishes the finest in every facet of life.
A 5 star rating invariably implies a defined degree of luxury, comfort, refinement and taste. You get all that in ITC Royal Bengal. No surprise there.
What is also not surprising – given its jaw dropping architecture and grandeur- is the Interiors. Aesthetics combine with style to deliver a hotel with interiors curated to take you to a new high altogether.
So what sets ITC Royal Bengal apart? The A class culinary offering led by the incredible Grand Market Pavilion definitely but besides that it is primarily, The People. Their warmth, their professionalism and their patience. The way guests are treated, explained/guided about the what.is.where and how to reach it in this VAST canvas and the professional way things are handled- from check in to check out.
It’s a big hotel but the staff are warm and welcoming so it feels like home. That really makes a difference when you are travelling for business. Wahid on the front desk and Vishal in the Market Pavillion are the best at what they do.
The Italian restaurant and the tea lounge my favourite places to eat – beautiful, good quality food. There is also internal access to the ITC Sonar, which means you can access their restaurants too. The Brass Room is a great place to grab drinks with live music a few nights a week.
The residents’ lounge is handy for meetings, coffee during the day and is a good place to work. The gym is so well equipped – better than any commercial gym I’ve visited.
I also love the ITC’s commitment to the environment and reducing plastic waste.
