Georgia is not famous for being particularly gay friendly but in the major destinations as Tbilisi or Batumi can easily find a foreign chain hotel who is gay friendly hotels Kutaisi.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Georgia face legal challenges that non-LGBT people do not experience. Georgia is one of only a few countries in the former Soviet space (others being the EU-member Baltic states, and Ukraine) that directly prohibits discrimination against all LGBT people in legislation, labor-related or otherwise.

Kutaisi is a city in west Georgia. It’s home to the centuries-old Bagrati Cathedral. On the city’s outskirts, the Gelati Monastery is a medieval cathedral with elaborate frescoes. The nearby hillside Motsameta Monastery has martyrs’ remains. Historical Georgian manuscripts, ceramics and textiles are on display at the Kutaisi State Historical Museum. To the northwest, Prometheus Cave features petrified waterfalls.

Really good hotel for a short stay in Kutaisi. Here are the Good and the not so good part of it.
Good:
– Location is wonderful. Located right next to the White Bridge.
– Staff is helpful and friendly,.
– Room is clean and have all required amenities.
– Rooftop Restaurant / Bar is really nice and have good selection of local wine (I really like the semi-sweet wine recommended by staff).

Not so Good:
– Breakfast – Although food offered was good but it was pretty much tailored to western Europe. I would have loved to eaten some local dishes in the breakfast, what a Georgian eats in their breakfast. Georgia has such a lovely cuisine, the hotel should not shy from putting some offerings in their.
– Value for Money – Considering the prices of hotels locally, I think it was a lil expensive (again keeping other local hotel prices for comparison).

Our room at Best Western Tbilisi, though small, was very clean, brightly lit and air-conditioned to beat the summer heat. The king-sized bed was capacious and comfortable.

The rooftop restaurant serves a delicious array of local fare and barbecued meats, in an alfresco setting with panoramic views of the White Bridge spanning the River. A relaxing place to unwind after a long road trip from Tbilisi.

The Best Western is a modern hotel built in the perfect location – just few steps from the beautiful, pedestrianised White Stones bridge on the river Rioni, and the old and lovely city centre on the other side of the river. The views from the terrace are fantastic; the restaurant is also there, so a dinner al fresco is a pleasant experience. The room we had was small but well appointed; the staff very kind and professional.

New, beautiful and well-designed, the rooms had everything expected of a good hotel. Bathroom was perfect with a rain shower and very nice toiletries. Wifi, lighting and air conditioning all worked well.

Wonderful king size bed with comfy linen. We had the best sleep of our trip in Georgia in this room. The breakfast had loads of variety.

We also had dinner at the rooftop grill restaurant, and the service of the stuff was great. They were super friendly and spoke some English. There is a wonderful view of Kutaisi from the bar.

Kutaisi is a beautiful little old town and this hotel is right next door to the main points of interest.

The property was excellently maintained and spotlessly clean. We dined in the terrace restaurant, which had good local wine and dishes.

The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. I didn’t have any problems parking.

The hotel is modern and clean with very attentive staff. We were very lucky to get room 202 (ask for it when you check in) as it had a dressing room, living room, dual aspect patio doors and a fabulous bathroom with huge walk in shower. The hotel also has a lovely roof terrace for drinks (apart double price of local restaurants but still cheap, so under £2 for a large beer) and a restaurant, again compared to other restaurants was expensive but the food and ambience were great.

We had a lovely meal with wine for under £30. The hotel also arranged a car back to the airport for us for circa £9 which was good value. There is not a great deal to do it Kutaisi although its charming, it is great to explore other sites like the caves and canyons.

If you are planning on staying in Kutaisi, I know compared to other hotels this is expensive, but it is more than worth it – for me it’s the only place to stay.

Excellent hotel on a good location in Kutaisi. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and real good value for money. We stayed for two nights and is was one of the better hotels during our trip.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location. 5 minutes walk to the city center. The hotel is small but very cozy, with clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is included in the price. The hotel has a small cafe also. Prices are very reasonable.

Great staff, great rooms, tasty breakfasts, very close to city center, they did everything they could to help us as soon as we had a question, and they are speaking english fluently. Don’t hesitate! Be aware that the rooms are a little smaller than one can think through the pictures, but it is enough, and one of the best showers I’ve ever seen in a hotel.

Lovely new hotel in a great location. Looking forward to the restaurant opening on the 1st floor. Room was clean and the shower amazing. While the breakfast was good, it would have been much better if fresh bread were provided versus store bought sliced bread. Not only would it have tasted better, providing fresh bread would also support a local business. And, 8 AM is a bit late for breakfast.

The room was very comfortable, shower was great and air conditioning worked beautifully. The woman in the kitchen preparing the breakfast was sweet .The food was basic but adequate before hitting the road. Location was perfect as it was a short walk to the centre. Parking in the back. I would highly recommend this place as it was one of the best that we stayed at on our trip around Georgia.

This is a lovely hotel – fresh and new, quiet and only 5 minutes walk from the centre. The room was very comfortable, with an amazing shower. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was good. A perfect spot to stay.

3. Hotel Terrace Kutaisi 3* – Gay Friendly Hotels Kutaisi

Hotel Terrace Kutaisi
Hotel Terrace Kutaisi

Set within less than 1 km of Colchis Fountain, Hotel Terrace Kutaisi in Kutaisi offers a 24-hour front desk. The accommodation provides a shared lounge and luggage storage space for guests.

The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kitchen, a dining area and a private bathroom with a shower. Hotel Terrace Kutaisi offers certain units with mountain views, and all rooms come with a kettle. The units at the accommodation have air conditioning and a desk.

A buffet breakfast is served every morning at the hotel.

Hotel Terrace Kutaisi is located in the cozy and pleasant neighborhood in the historical district of Kutaisi city just 450 metres from the central square. Our hotel offers spacious rooms, healthy and delicious breakfast and other services. The main feature of our hotel is a terrace that boasts with splendid panoramic views of Kutaisi.

The room was small, clean, with a double bed, a safe, pull-out desk and bedside tables.
The hand-held light switch was very handy and the bed was comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep.

Our room did have a TV, wall heater, bath towel heater, a fridge and free WiFi. It also had a jug but there was no tea, coffee or milk!!!! A lack of power-points meant that it was difficult to recharge our phones and i-pads.

The bathroom was small, clean and offered the usual facilities that we were expecting. The shower did not have a great deal of pressure but was adequate and the water temperature was acceptable.

On the top floor was a bar and outdoor terrace. This was a very relaxing area to have a late afternoon drink, and as the sun set, it provided a very pleasant view overlooking the town. The service provided was very good – drinks, not expensive.

As the hotel did not have a restaurant, it was necessary to walk into town, which was a positive for the hotel, because it is located only about 10 minutes walking time from the town center.

Breakfast was limited
On offer was some fruit, yoghurt, cheese “sticks”, cold meat, bread. tea and coffee.
Nothing special.

Overall, the Terrace Hotel had some positives and a few aspects of its operation and facilities that left a bit to be desired.

However, the place had a pleasant atmosphere, and in comparison to other places we stayed, not only in Georgia, but also in Armenia and Azerbaijan, it, for us, rates a 4.

The hotel is tucked away in the side streets, but only 5 mins walk from the central square and main tourist area. The room was small but well equipped, modern and clean. Breakfast was a self-service affair with plenty to choose from. I had a quick look at the rooftop bar, which looked like it would be a nice place to sit in the evening. It’s not a very charming or high grade hotel, but for the price it’s excellent value and I’d recommend it.

The room was lovely and clean, nice view of the city. Bathroom was impressive, everything felt like it had been recently renovated. Breakfast was lovely, good selection of food and drinks. Staff all really friendly and on hand to help at any point.

The room was clean, bright and modern and had plenty of space. There was even a small balcony. Lights were cleverly remote-controlled, there was ample storage space and a TV and fridge. Yes, sound does appear to travel so its not the quietest but you do get a fridge and a kettle – some coffee and a couple of cups would have seemed to make sense to go along with this but there is a spar shop just down the road if it really bothers you. A good selection of local wines were on sale in reception. When we went, they were putting the finishing touches to a new rooftop bar to go with the terrace that gives the hotel its name – it is lovely and gives you great views of the area, especially the Bagrati cathedral.

The location is a little way out of town up a fairly steep hill but still pretty close compared to some we saw and the walk in is quite straightforward and safe, even at night.
