Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in Cyprus may face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Both male and female same-sex sexual activity are legal in Cyprus, and civil unions which grant several of the rights and benefits of marriage have been legal since December 2015.
Traditionally, the socially conservative Greek Orthodox Church has had significant influence over public opinion and politics regarding LGBT rights. However, ever since Cyprus sought membership in the European Union, it had to change its human rights legislation, including its laws regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. Attitudes towards members of the LGBT community are evolving and becoming increasingly more accepting and tolerant.
Limassol has a long history of being a gay friendly resort and in downtown we can find a few gay friendly bars as well as Sousami is the most famous gay place in Limassol, Cyprus.

Beautiful, gay friendly boutique hotel. This is our second visit in the Londa, we returned after last year as we loved it so much.
*Received a warm welcome at check in and an upgrade to a suite instead of our room.
*Excellent friendly service throughout out stay.
*This hotel is a rare find in Cyprus. It is a boutique hotel, that seems to aim at adult leisure and business travellers. And this is why it has a chilled, relaxed atmosphere.
*Amazing breakfast, great dinner.
*Spa is ok, massage was average.
*Gym is in need of refurbishment.
We are always sad to leave Londa and we are looking forward to return next year.
Attractively furnished yet cosy despite the minimalist style furnishings. Helpful staff who are very attentive.
We stayed in room 104 that had a sea view. The balcony overlooking the pool area adjoins the lounge and is an outstanding feature. The beach is wonderful and sea calmed by a breakwater. Everything was clean. Breakfast was comprehensive.
The location gives easy access to the city and highway. Parking is limited but the concierge took good care of our car.
Beautiful boutique hotel with fabulous swimming pool area. We were upgraded to a suite on our arrival. Lovely receptionist. Great breakfast special hotel with great location and easy access to beach and close to the town. Highly recommended.
The Londa is the best boutique hotel in Limassol. It is unique in terms of size, and quality of professional and personal service. The staff are warm, friendly. and helpful and address you by name. The breakfast is excellent. Great spot for coffee during the day and drinks in the evening.
It’s a really cool place.

The location is probably the best in Limassol. Especially the private marina overlooking the hotel makes it perfect. I was excited with the rooms, how spacious they are and how clean and New is the bathroom. Great variety in the breakfast and friendly staff. They even offered to upgrade me to a marina sea view room as a frequent visitor in my next stay.
The food was really very tasty – they made theme nights every dinner. Breakfast was wonderful one of the best I have ever experienced in five star. They even had a chocolate fountain for children lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, There was nothing that I would miss. We were All inclusive End it was definitely worth the money.
The hotel Saint Raphael is a great option for your holiday, event or business trip to Cyprus’
It has arguably the best grounds and location in the Limassol seafront. A beautiful and calm blue flag beach ideal for families. Ample grounds with space for relaxing, functions, weddings, playing. And it is conveniently located for all amenities Limassol can offer.
There you can find everything you need to enjoy, relax and spend a few days of happiness.
The rooms are quiet and spacious and have been recently renovated providing a very high standard of accommodation. Many of the rooms have great views. The hotel is very clean.
The restaurants were fantastic, and everything you could wish for at the breakfast buffet (even free flowing real French champagne) was there catering very well for a variety of nationalities and tastes. Special mention goes to the sea food marina restaurant, a real Mediterranean jewel. They do have a vegan restaurant, fortunately I didn’t spot any attacks to the grills and meat restaurants. They might be catering to sensible vegan customers.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and efficient yet still had time to talk. A warm welcome on arrival and consistently helpful staff throughout the hotel with a ‘can do’ attitude which makes it such a pleasure to stay at this excellent resort hotel.
Before I forget: The Captain’s Bar and Terrace with breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea and Marina is one of the best places on earth to enjoy the sunset and the cocktails are to die for. A moment for the ages: Sipping a Jack Passion at the Captain’s Bar.
In sum, the hotel provides 5 star facilities, food and services at 4 star prices. Highly recommendable!

The modern facilities of our hotel include an outdoor pool, gym, sauna, a bar and a restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean sea, a view that you can enjoy uninterruptedly every hour of the day from your own balcony.
The location for me was perfect with a bus stop directly outside with regular buses into limassol (approx every 10 minutes with a single ticket €1.50). The hotel also has a private car park if you are hiring a car.
The hotel itself had a lovely modern airy feel. My room was perfect. It was at the back of the hotel on the top floor.
It had one double and a single bed, large wardrobe with a drawer and safe inside, dressing table with a further two drawers, and a stand for suitcase. The room also had a kettle and small fridge. Bathroom had a walk in shower and dispensers for hand soap and shower gel. Room itself was large and had a large balcony with table and chairs and the most amazing view.
It also had a small pull out drying rack on the wall.
Breakfast had a good variety – cereals, toast, rolls, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, cold meats – and a selection of hot items – bacon, sausages, eggs, etc.
Leading out from the main reception was an outdoor covered bar / restaurant area where they had a varied selection of meals available and the portions were not small !!!. This led out onto the pool area, where there were plenty of sun loungers, small tables and umbrellas.
At the back of the pool area about 20 feet, there was another area with loungers etc accessed by a few steps, and you could swim in the sea.
Across the road there was a small supermarket, but there are plenty small convenience stores and gift shops within a few minutes walk.
A selection of restaurants and bars are also easily reached by walking – ranging from local foods to McDonalds and pizza hut (both about 10 – 15 minute walk).
Overall I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend Harmony Bay Hotel.
There is a large free car park which is ideal if you have a hire car like we did and the hotel is in a great location with a supermarket across the street, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk as well as a couple of beaches walking distance away.
Rooms : all rooms have a view to the sea. I was in a side sea view and I had a very nice sea view from the third floor. The room size is ok and always clean , bed is comfortable , sound isolated (at least during my stay). Flat Samsung TV with a few English channels. Huge balcony with table and chairs. Bathroom is ok with very strong shower hot jet..it was fantastic.
Breakfast : Not bad at all , croissants, cakes , fruits , honey , jam, yogurt, cold cuts, cheeses, two kind of hot eggs, baked beans. Overall , enough to start your day , I did not experience lunch or dinner so I can’t judge.
Housekeeping : Clever and not pushy , always leave the room clean and fresh.
Staff : awesome staff , they have very good knowledge about most of things , helpful and smiley.
Pool and pool area : good size and very clean , pool area is very nice with a lot of sunbed and sunshade , pool bar is perfect with nice beverage and snack.
