Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Rooms are small but perfectly formed with everything you need for a busy city break. Very good location, 5 mins.walk from the waterfront attractions like the Tate Gallery or about the same in the other direction for shops. Very helpful staff and beautifully clean throughout. We went for the Tate, Walker Gallery, Cathedral, architecture etc. and the pubs for two nights but we still have things to see and will be back!

Plenty of places to eat near the hotel – the Thai that the staff recommended and which gives a discount for hotel guests was excellent. Evening wine and cheese and bacon roll for breakfast were a nice touch and I enjoyed my ‘continental’ option. It’s near the ‘Beatles’ area and there are a lot of gay venues round about so it’s busy but not threatening at night. We didn’t have any trouble with noise.

The hotel is basic but does more profess to be anything other. It’s very comfortable bed, incredibly clean, fabulous shower, so much so we’ve bought the same shower head and it’s brilliant. We used the NCP car park nearby and got the ticket swiped at hotel reception which only had us pay £18 for 3 days!!!!!!

We opted for breakfast in hotel on the last morning and it was excellent for £7 if booked in advance. The Cheese and Wine each night for hotel guests is a fabulous extra – free of charge – it really was super. Not cheap wine – choice of 4 white and 5 reds or beer. We are now planning our next Z hotel, maybe Glasgow or Bath next.

Frill free but excellent hotel, which does what it says on the tin. For those complaining about cardboard box or bathroom surely that is down to lack of research as the inside rooms clearly state no windows and the pictures on the rooms are clearly visible on here and the official website.

The rooms are smaller than normal but given the price it it excellent value, breakfast was extra £7.50 per person but with that you can also request a late 12.30 checkout, car parking was £8 per 24 hrs in the NCP if reception validate your ticket you are also entitled to a FREE glass of wine plus cheese crackers chutney olives bread Etc each night.

Tremendous value, service and room was great but we chose a queen size with window.

My Queen room was perfect size for me on my own, bed was comfy – I slept like a log! Room was equipped with the usual tea & coffee making facilities, water and a hairdryer. If I was sharing – not sure how I’d feel about the frosted glass toilet /shower cabinet?

It also had air conditioning thankfully as it was nearly 30 degrees outside. Nice touches are the Sky TV, WiFi throughout the hotel and the nightly free cheese and wine tasting. After a glass of wine, you can buy a bottle at a reduced rate or get a large glass for the price of a medium one. Special mention of the gorgeous artisan bread and chutneys that accompany the cheeses.

I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel but there is a deal if you purchase in advance. Staff are friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay again for a few days when back in Liverpool.

It offers 151 bedrooms coupled with excellent facilities. The hotel features cosy, airy and inviting guest rooms with oversized beds, plush bedding with throw pillows, hard-surface flooring with area rugs and signature murals.

Great location, within walking distance of all the sights and parking just a couple of minutes away. The Hotel offers a discount on the parking, so don’t forget to give them your ticket before you leave.

Each Hotel has a theme in keeping with the neighbourhood; Liverpool was at the centre of the cotton trade, and this theme is carried through the hotel and the rooms. Our room had modern furniture, bright colours with cotton reels wallpaper. The room was very clean with a lovely walk-in shower and nice fluffy towels. Very comfortable bed with good quality linen.

As well as tea, coffee making facilities, there is a fridge with complimentary water, crisps and chocolate bars, which is a nice touch. There is also a safe which is always good to have. The wardrobe is big enough to hang up your clothes and drawers for everything else. We found robes and slippers too.

There is a restaurant and you can get breakfast. We had breakfast last time but thought it was expensive and we were not really impressed with it, so didn’t bother this time.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay and can’t really fault this hotel. It offers a high standard and good value for money. We would recommend and would stay here again.

The room was big and very comfortable. Great bed and nice complimentary items in mini bar. The breakfasts were massive and very good quality and filled you up all day. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Shirley was a lovely lady serving at breakfast times. Very clean hotel.
The room was a little on the warm side though. Great big bathroom and good shower and nice toiletries to use which are replenished everyday. You get robes and slippers too.
We didn’t want to leave and will stay there again. I recommend this hotel highly. We didn’t have an evening meal at the Marco Pierre White restaurant there but it was lovely. Very modern hotel and a 5 minute walk down to the Mersey river, very central to everything. Great stay.
The room was well maintained and spacious. The shower/bathroom was really nice. The room had a large good quality TV 2 Twin beds and all the usual facilities (Fridge, Ironing board, Iron etc etc) The beds were very comfy and there were more than enough Plug Sockets.
The Internet was average approx 45 Mbps which is very good for a hotel. The cleaners did an excellent job and couldn’t ask for more. I had the food in the Marco Pierre White Restaurant which was quite excellent I can not recommend the House Burgers enough as they were brilliant. You can order a hot breakfast or get Pastries etc. I had the Egg Benedict which had to be one of the best I have had.
Overall I found this hotel excellent.

Situated in the bustling heart of Liverpool, the Heywood House Hotel combines original elegance with modern luxury. Our hotel has been carefully restored from what was the first bank in Liverpool, blending old with new.

The hotel is surrounded by a vibrant restaurant, pub & bar scene making this hotel the perfect place to stay, enjoying great evenings out within Liverpool city center. Heywood House is a 5 min walk from the beautiful world heritage site; The Albert Docks and waterfront. Only a 5min walk to Liverpool One shopping center and a 3min walk from Matthews Street & the famous Cavern Club.

Great deal for a fabulous hotel in the heart of the city. Great location close to the Cavern quarter, Liverpool One and the waterfront. Just around the corner from James Street Railway station. Easy link from Lime St via the underground. Lovely helpful staff and the room was clean and modern. Would definitely stay again for a great city break.

The entrance is very unassuming, very easy to miss, but just around the corner from James Street station so very convenient for travel and location. The rooms are big with a huge comfortable bed, good toiletries and hospitality tray, nice decor, very clean No noise internally at all in the hotel from other guests, street outside not too bad either.

The staff were very nice and helpful, will definitely be going back, really compares well to other hotels in Liverpool that charge an awful lot more.

This hotel is very close to the main shopping centres, restaurants and tourist attractions around the old docks. It is also very close to James Street station – only a couple of stops from Lime Street.

The building is old and interesting and our room was well appointed, reasonably spacious (for a city centre hotel) and very comfortable.

The hotel is situated in a small one way street and we were unable to hear any noise at all
The room itself was quite large comfortable bed and warm bathroom was spotless and well equipped with toiletries a nice touch is the small rubber duck in the bath!

Staff are very helpful and any needs are sorted immediately Location is good short walk to the city or Albert. Loads of restaurants near by and discount is given for hotel guests.

We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and would certainly stay there again on our next visit to Liverpool.

We had a double room that looked like a dream. Clean, lots of light and charm.

They make sure you feel relaxed and enjoy your stay. The bed was awesome, and all the toiletries first class. They even put a little rubber duck on your shower, which to me was a win-win from the PR and marketing team. It is a sign of “Hey, we’re like you. You can ask us for anything you need. We are classy but modern.

The hotel is located just around the corner (3 min walk maximum) from James St Station and is a stone’s throw away from Liverpool 1, Cavern Club, Albert Dock, Liverpool Museum, LiverBird Building, Pier Head and all the other attractions. Check in was quick and trouble free, James was very helpful and explained a few things about the hotel and where you could have breakfast in the neighbouring Alchemist Bar & Restaurant. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor at the front of the hotel.

This is a boutique hotel, rooms are very well presented spotless clean and comfortable. Double bed, fitted wardrobes, a small seating area, a small fridge, toiletries & tea and coffee making facilities, fresh towels daily. We also had a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table so lots of space inside and out. The bed was really comfortable, noise levels were minimal and I would expect it to be louder over the weekend (we stayed Wed – Sat).

Could not fault this hotel and the location and would stay again and recommend to others.

Perfectly positioned in the heart of Liverpool with easy and fast access to local attractions and businesses. Quest Liverpool City Centre offers choice and convenience for both short and long stay travellers to the area.

Arrived with short notice and was pleasantly surprised from moment of arriving at check in, great location and a very deceiving entrance leads you to a welcoming reception with attentive staff to help.

We had a one bedroom apartment which has all the amenities you’d need; added laundry facilities in the room was a great bonus. Bathroom was immaculate, contemporary and sleek fittings with a very large shower was superb.

Bedroom space was ample with practical storage space and the lounge/ kitchen area was very welcoming and a great place to relax and unwind.

Super location and really nice apartments are perfect for business / pleasure.

Location was perfect, right in the city centre! Discounted parking which was less than a 5 minute walk away.

The staff were so welcoming and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Carmen in particular was lovely! She really made us feel at home!

The apartment we stayed in was great value for money and had everything you could need. You could make a full on meal if you wanted to and use the dishwasher afterwards. There’s a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom which we didn’t use but is a lovely touch if you needed it.

Checked in on Saturday and the process was seamless, the room was beautiful, bright and big, I loved the separation of the window/blinds from the living room and bedroom too!

Staff were so friendly, they even took photos of us before we went out which is such a nice gesture.

There were great facilities in the room, the fridge was nice and cold which usually is not a thing in most aparthotels! We even made some ice, the little things make such a huge difference! I will definitely be back to stay again, great location and great team!

Absolutely perfect hotel smack bang in Liverpool city centre. Great for access to everything the city has to offer.

The hotel itself is wonderful. Beautiful room, equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Super King sized bed, bathroom with washer and dryer, living room and kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, microwave. Amazingly comfortable as well as bright and light, super modern.

And finally – the staff. Super friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. An asset to the hotel!
We would definitely look to stay there again for a short or long term stay.

This apartment was amazing! We had a great stay, we only stayed for 1 night but the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was just how it described itself, it was lovely and fresh and clean with big comfy bed, a small kitchen with everything you need, a small coffee table with a double chair, a view of the Liverpool town centre, a safe which was handy to leave valuables in, a clean bathroom, lovely shower, the location was perfect for us!

Smack bang in the centre, plenty of shops and shopping centres around! Nightclubs, pubs, food, all walking distance, and also the albert dock, which is a 10min walk.

The car park was also around 10 mins away from hotel but it was a secure car park and also at the hotel if you ask the staff, they will give you a discount card to take a few £££ of your parking stay, overall this apartment/hotel was perfect, and will definitely be returning when i visit Liverpool again.

The location is great.. just opposite the dock, with its own car park outside which is a massive plus for a city centre hotel. The staff are always welcoming and the food there is lovely. Rooms are basic but clean.. that’s all I want for a short stay hotel.
The rooms are quite basic and have pod style bathrooms but They were more than adequate for our needs. Maid service every day was good. We had room 422 so had a lovely view of the Albert Dock. Drinks and food was served by pleasant staff . We ate in the hotel on our last night and the food was tasty and cooked to our liking. Breakfast in this hotel is more than adequate with hot and cold food to try out. I would have loved a fried egg though.
The hotel itself is presumably the current boutique style, very basic rooms but ideal for one or two nights. Common areas, bar & breakfast are clean and well laid out but if busy it’ll be chaotic. Nice patio area if weather is in your favour. Staff were very busy but always helpful & friendly.
First of all, the location was exactly where we wanted to be, across the road from the Albert Dock, with easy access to the tourist attractions we wanted, all within a 20 minute walk. There is also a hotel car park which is just for the hotel, which i prefer to using one open to the public. There is an additional charge, but not unreasonable at £10 a night from arrival until 12 noon on your day of departure, with the option to pay to stay longer..
I think this is quite reasonable in a city centre, where a high percentage of guests are arriving without cars. hotel rooms and facilities are basic but more than adequate, and clean. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is extra, and i didn’t enjoy it at all on my first morning, but that was probably down to my own choices. Better the next morning. I would definitely choose to stay here again in Liverpool.
The room was your basic hotel rooms with shower, kettle and a relatively comfortable bed, and it clean but a little tired looking. We had breakfast the first morning which was a nice buffet breakfast and a coffee machine dispensing latte, cappuccino, etc, (in fact the machine was available dispensing hot drinks all day but a donation to a cancer charity was appreciated), and we also had a couple of meals during our stay and the food was very nice.
The hotel is excellently located opposite the Albert Dock with its amenities, and close to the M&S Bank Arena and Liverpool Museum, and a short walk from the Mersey Ferry Port so you can take that Ferry Across the Mersey! The Liverpool One shopping centre is a 5 to 10 minute walk and you can easily walk to the city centre and must-see Cavern Club – it’s actually quite a compact city so you can cover a lot of ground in a day. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and very pleasant, particularly Aaron who made us feel very welcome. Liverpool was a wonderful city and we hope to return again and would have no hesitation staying here again.
