From the warm welcome to the nice clean rooms and the amazing and entertaining bar staff it was just wonderful.

The Resort is in a nice area with an amazing view and when you like it more quiet, like me, then it’s perfect because there is not a hotel every 5 meters around like in the city centre.

The pool is amazing and in the perfect location because you have sun the whole day. For people who are not so fond of lying in the sun they also have umbrellas and a chill area with shade. 🙂

The rooms are spotlessly clean  and are well equipped with smart-TV, a perfectly functional kitchenette, private balcony AND terrace with pool view and more than enough relaxing space.

The facilities of the hotel are excellently maintained and if even if you might find something missing, the lovely staff is always there to help you out.

Its is located bit further from busy city centre so taking a taxi for shopping or night out is a must.

If you looking for relaxing stay this resort will mark the highest note.

Apartment was well designed with large kitchen/ living space area and very comfortable large bed on top floor.

Kitchen fully equipped with Lavazza coffee machine and all utensils that you might need.

Wine and water on arrival was a beautiful touch and I did that truly enjoyed.

You can use top floor terrazzo for sunbathing, jump in warm swimming pool , have a soak in jacuzzi or just simply rest on balinese beds while sipping of delicious cocktails.

The best part of Vista Bonita are it dedicated staff – from Front of house, through bar finished on housekeeping they represent exceptional customer service and care, creating attitude free, relaxing atmosphere that simply make you feel welcome from beginning to the end providing truly memorable experience.

Why You Should NOT Book Vista Bonita – LGBT Only Resort

Have stayed here years ago and enjoyed the overall complex. My partner and i were booked this year and two days before i was informed that we would have to stay in another hotel for one night as the Vista Bonita was overbooked.

Once i had been informed which hotel i thought it would be ok. The night before travel i was informed that we were back in Vista Bonita for the whole stay.

On arrival the complex was clean and quite. On our second night we had met up with some friends and were in the jacuzzi till just after 10pm and were only chatting so not loud.

The following day we were informed that the jacuzzi would be switched off from 7.30pm as an older traveler had complained saying we were out till 1am.

As the complainer was obviously friends with the staff as he had breakfast with them everyday he was listened to.

2. Seven Hotel & Wellness  4* – Gay Hotels Maspalomas

Seven Hotel & Wellness - Gay Men Only

Seven Hotel & Wellness – Gay Men Only is set next to Maspalomas Golf Course in southern Gran Canaria.

It features a heated outdoor saltwater pool, and each room comes with a furnished porch.

The bright, air-conditioned rooms have a living room with a flat-screen TV. Some offer a sofa bed. There is a private bathroom, and a safe is available.

Video Review of Seven Hotel & Wellness – Gay Men Only

Other facilities available at the property include the Abora Restaurant.

Why You Should Book Seven Hotel & Wellness – Gay Men Only

Seven Hotel is a laid back, relaxing place in Maspalomas, 15 minutes walk from the beach (there’s a complimentary bus if you want).

Rooms are very nice: I particularly like rooms around the pool.

A bit of a walk to the beach or Yumbo but there is complimentary bus and taxis are cheap (€5 to get anywhere you’d want to go).

Rooms nicely decorated- simple clean lines, lovely showers.

The bed is one of the more comfortable I’ve slept in and huge which is exactly what you want on holiday.

My room was immaculately clean, very modern, very quiet and air-con good – very pleased with the standard of the room, especially the bed linen and bed which was very comfortable.

Mini-bar/fridge in the room, and big walk in shower – loved the rose-tinted screen!

Good safe in wardrobe. Useful rubber wrist band to unlock the patio door to the room (which you can wear in water, e.g. at the beach).
TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime video if you want it, plus English channels.

Views of the mountains from the ‘Abora’ restaurant are just simply stunning, especially at sunset.
Plenty of good quality sun loungers and daybeds/parasols.

Mini market just around the corner (opposite Sandy Golf reception).

Massages available (quite expensive) but if you want to treat yourself it’s worth it.
The food and service in the restaurant is excellent.

Buffet breakfast (and hot to order) and they are generous with coffee (served in nice proper thick white china cups and delicious).

What a fabulous addition to the holiday resort market in Maspalomas.

We have stayed at other gay resorts in the past and this exceeds anything that we have encountered before.

The complex is quite spacious and never looked overcrowded.

There are four blocks, two of which each contain eight smaller rooms, the other two blocks have more spacious accommodations, a total of six suites and two ‘villas’.

The villas each enjoy their own private pools although the privacy hedging seems new and the gaps do not provide total privacy.

We occupied a superior room, this comprised a very comfy bed with an open bathroom, the shower was a great size and there were double basins, the toilet was in a small cubicle.

Beach towels were provided. Each room had a small terrace with a table and chairs.

The wardrobe was quite small and more hangers would be good, there was no drawer space just some shelves to put clothes on.

A spacious safe was also provided.

The tv was good, plenty of channels to choose from including the usual U.K. ones, you could also use Netflix, YouTube etc.

The complex was centred around the pool, the pool isn’t very deep but it does the job.

There were some sun loungers by the pool, there were also some behind the pool, near to the hot tub together with some round beds for two people.

I would say that they need to provide more sun loungers, if the place was full I think some would struggle to find a lounger.

Some of the loungers has a call button for you to order drinks and food.

The hotel is clothing optional and I would say 75% were naked although there was no pressure if you chose to keep covered up.

There was a small outdoor gym with a treadmill, cross trainer, some dumbbells and a weight machine.

The hot tub was a great size although there were some technical problems with it whilst we were there.

We noted some people drinking by the pool and in the hot tub, I think that this should only be allowed if they used plastic glasses.

There is a well stocked bar and the food selection both at breakfast and other meals was superb.

We really enjoyed the breakfast and ate lunch most days. I do wish they would ban smoking whilst people are eating.

Why You Should Book Seven Hotel & Wellness – Gay Men Only

I have been to this hotel before and have always loved it. Despite the fact of advertising a heated pool on their website, the reality is that the water is as cold as ice, no one is touching the water.

Because of the heated pool is the reason I came back, rooms cost now almost the double than before so I am shocked they are trying to save money on that.

This issue has kind of ruined my experience this time. Won’t return.

Just 200m from the Faro 2 Commercial Centre. At our Resort you decide when to rest and when to enjoy all the leisure of the island thanks to its privileged environment free of noises.

Why You Should Book Rainbow Golf Bungalows, Gay Men-only Resort

Our bungalow was immaculately clean and well appointed. The bungalow was thoroughly cleaned everyday and left spotless, without exception.

The kitchenette is well equipped to make breakfast, lunch and simple dinners.

It was a pleasant surprise to find a chilled bottle of water and cava in the fridge waiting for us!

The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept us cool in the evenings.

The pool area is peaceful and relaxed with sufficient sun loungers.

There is a no reserving policy, which everyone adheres to, which means that there is normally always a free lounger whatever time of the day you arrive.

The pool is heated, which takes the initial chill off when getting in and it is comfortable at any time of the day!

Pool towels are provided and you can ask for fresh ones if needed.

Everyone at the resort were friendly, relaxed and respectful of each other.

The atmosphere is so relaxed and inclusive, which makes for such a peaceful and comfortable holiday.

The very nice sized living quarters had a dining area and huge tv with a comfy sofa, ideal for chilling in the afternoon when the sun was at its strongest.

Also the nice lighting dotted around the bungalow made it very relaxing on those evenings when too tired to venture out.

Next to the living quarters was a fully functional kitchen area with fridge microwave kettle and coffee machine

The bedroom had a big double bed with plenty of wardrobe space and was lovely and cool with the air con system.

So after quickly unpacking made my way to the pool area to soak up some sunshine.

The pool area was very clean and tidy with plenty of sun loungers all with cream cushions and very well maintained.

The pool itself was so warm and being a salt water pool brings your suntan on very well.

Clean towels are available free of charge to use on sun loungers and can be replaced at any time, a nice touch.

The bar area next to the pool is very well equipped and food and drinks are served all day by the most helpful staff members.

The place is not luxurious, but contemporary, comfortable, spacious and friendly.

Both the bungalows themselves, which include a kitchenette with basic cooking facilities and a fridge, are spotlessly clean and well maintained, and so are the grounds in general – great care is taken by the grounds staff such that I mostly walked around barefoot for the short distance from my bungalow to the pool area.

You can either be quiet and private at your bungalow, whether inside or on your terrace in front, or join the other invariably friendly guests around the pool and jacuzzi.

IMPORTANT: this is the only place on the island (among the gay establishments anyway) that I have found that HEATS the pool! It was 28 to 30 C – lovely! And open 24 hours.

4. Lopesan Baobab Resort 5* – Gay Friendly Hotels Maspalomas

Lopesan Baobab Resort

Lopesan Baobab Resort is a luxurious resort set in tropical gardens with African-style decór throughout.

It features a large outdoor swimming pool and is 600 m from Maspalomas Beach.

Rooms at the Lopesan are elegant and spacious. All feature air conditioning and a balcony. The bathrooms have toiletries and bathrobes.

The Baobab’s Pili Pili Restaurant specialises in grilled meats and seafood, while the Akara offers African cuisine.

There is a buffet restaurant, as well as 2 stylish poolside bars and a coffee shop.

Video Review of Lopesan Baobab Resort

Exclusive luxury Lopesan Baobab Resort was inaugurated in 2009; it is located in the south of the island of Gran Canaria, in the exclusive Meloneras holiday area, just a few walking minutes away from the extensive, several kilometres long, Maspalomas beach and the impressive landscape of sand dunes.

Famous Maspalomas lighthouse is situated nearby, as well as the long coastside promenade.

ExpoMeloneras Convention Centre is also located only a few steps away from the hotel.

Five-star hotel Lopesan Baobab Resort has become one of the preferred destinations for family holidays of Spanish national tourists.

Why You Should Book Lopesan Baobab Resort

Thanks to the uniqueness of its architecture inspired by the African continent, its impressive water landscapes with pools, rivers and waterfalls, as well as the high quality services offered, this hotel shows off ethnic charm, modernity and refinement.

The hotel’s main entrance leads guests over a picturesque wooden bridge to the reception area, passing a grandiose aquatic landscape with waterfalls.

From the lobby you can reach the hotel rooms or the large garden area, on a surface of 56,000 square metres, in the centre of which a large 21 metres high wooden African lodge is located; this lodge houses a restaurant and a bar.

Common areas are connected by an extensive sheet of water crisscrossed by small bridges.

In total there are nine swimming pools (all of them heatable at different temperatures) covering a total surface of 4,245 square metres.

The “lazy river”, two artificial beaches, pools with waterfalls and caves, and two pools for babies and children are specially outstanding.

The hotel is massive, and as it was “winter” season (it hit 30 degrees one day!), it was relatively quiet which was nice.

Sun loungers were always available at a choice of pools (I preferred the pool around the lazy river and the Mungo Park bar).

Food was delicious, the later you go the quieter it is but service is always with a smile and each and every individual we encountered was professional, friendly and helpful.

We didn’t get a chance to book any of the other restaurants on this occasion but maybe next time.

This is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Everywhere you turn there are staff working hard throughout the day to keep the place clean and tidy, rooms were also cleaned to a high standard.

I’m not generally one for watching entertainment but I couldn’t help myself sitting and watching some of the evening shows before heading up to the Richard Burton bar which has such a nice atmosphere with lovely live music at night.

Don’t forget to take a walk around the hotel at night, it’s unreal.

I’d advise leaving a deposit and charging things to the room, made it really easy throughout the week and prices for drinks etc are actually really reasonable.

The safe is also cheap so get that when you check in.

Meloneras itself is so classy. This is the first time I’ve been to Gran Canaria having been to the other canary islands quite a few times, but I honestly can’t see myself going anywhere else right now

The hotel’s leisure and recreation areas are enriched even more by a complete entertainment programme with a variety of activities during the day and in the evenings.

The Lopesan Baobab Resort offers high quality cuisine in all restaurants, characterized by an elevated level of creativity.

For this purpose the hotel’s select kitchen staff puts special emphasis on using the best products and on preparing them in presence of the hotel guests.

The ‘Akara’ Restaurant is only open for dinner and its name refers to an African recipe; it offers flavours from the very heart of Africa with a menu committed to originality.

The hotel’s second à la carte restaurant is the ‘Pili Pili’ Restaurant, open at lunchtime and specialised in paellas, seafood and grilled meat.

Furthermore, there are two buffet restaurants, the ’Marula’ and the ‘Baobab’, the premises of which are conveniently separated to provide differentiated atmospheres where delicacies from international occidental cuisine are served.

The rooms’ interior design carefully combines colour schemes and African ambience.

Many of the organised activities take place during the day and in the evenings.

Why You Should NOT Book Lopesan Baobab Resort

The hotel is absolutely stunning – from the gorgeous entrance and reception to the pool areas – but our stay here was sadly let down by average food and bad service.

Many staff were unhelpful and borderline rude to us, making us feel like we are a nuisance to them and generally unwelcome.

In one instance, when we returned from being out all day to find that the water in our room hadn’t been restocked, we called reception. Instead of sending us some water, they told us that it was our own fault for being out and hung up on us.

Then there were countless instances where we were told to check the website or read the welcome email when we had questions instead of just being given an answer, waiting staff walking off halfway through taking our orders or the wrong dishes/drinks being served to us.

Drinks are expensive and not included in half/full board (apart from during breakfast)!

Soft drinks are 3 Euro, still water is 2.5 Euro, a bottle of Sangria (the same one that you can get in the supermarket for 6 Euro) is 21 Euro.

The food is really average with little variation each day. The restaurants effectively all serve the same food. The only difference is the table service in some of them
