Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in Kenya face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Homosexuality is “largely considered to be taboo and repugnant to [the] cultural values and morality” of Kenya. Despite this, various organisations are working to protect and improve LGBT rights.

One of the newer establishments on the Mombasa coastline, the hotel apartments are spacious and relaxing. Comfortable furnishing was a winner for me, spent most of the evenings working of the dining table while watching the TV from a distance. The beach is limited more like a creek, great view of the old town and Fort Jesus across the channel and wonderful sunset and evening experience. Rather windy throughout the stay.
Close to shopping malls and outside eateries. They need to up their game on the meal options, the breakfast was below expectation in terms of variety. Lunch was too static nothing to wow as the ambiance did. The Gym was well appointed. Overall the staff were polite and helpful.
Wonderful interiors, very good service from the staff especially Nick at the reception who received and welcomed us and even showed us around the hotel in other words his service was superb, about the rooms, they were clean and well maintained beyond my expectations. The location of the hotel was also nice and the view of the ocean was breathtaking.
This is one of the very good property in Mombasa from the Hotel English Point. A wonderful place to relax and dine. The restaurant offers a wide range of delicacies and the service is fast too. Located very much near the center of Mombasa city making convenient for guests to drop in. This property maintains the consistency and matches the standards of service offered at other fortune properties across various metros. Was really impressed with the service and would certainly recommend.
A very enjoyable three days in Mombasa staying at the English Point Hotel and Spa. We stayed in one of the suites overlooking the ocean spacious and quiet.Breakfast while plentiful could have been a bit more adventurous. The North coast of Mombasa lacks the beach facilities of the South coast, but the EPH has a wonderful pool and access to an adjacent beach.
It’s a beautifully done hotel with different options for restaurants and bars and mega amazing view of the ocean. The staff is nice but lacks attentiveness. It’s definitely different and better than the other highly rated hotels in its modernness. This can be rated as an international hotel. We had a wonderful stay overall.

The place is amazing. Clean swimming pool and the height of the pool is acceptable. Rooms are well kept. Beach View is fantastic. Meals are good but improve on variety. Hospitality was good. Planning for a come back.
The Flamingo beach resort and spa is a very good hotel with a lot of ambiance and a friendly staff. The pool is enormous and clean, which makes it a good one for sport. The food is also good! The beach frontage is excellent and access to the ocean is very easy and comfortable.
The room we were in, is a good standard room, clean. However there is need to adjust the shower height for the taller guests to enjoy showering. There is also need for modernization for Air conditioning and lighting in order to conserve energy!
The Wi-Fi is somewhat weak in some areas and can also drop off for a few minutes within the room which is not good for a business traveler.
The pool bar closes early and therefore denies a guest the chance to enjoy a good drink under some fine sea breeze after dinner.
The hotel should also consider promoting our local brews such as KB and Summit Lager brands which I consider, of very good quality!
