The hotel is very well located, a short taxi ride to the expo center. It is also next to the small ETN and Turistar bus station.
The rooms are very comfortable with a nice view of the Cerro de la Silla mountain.
They have a small restaurant with friendly service. Overall, the service is impeccable and the only flaw is that although they have a pool it was not in service.
This is an excellent, inexpensive hotel in Monterrey close to Cintermex and Parque Fundidora.

Attention to detail is impressive. Check in was smooth and room ready even though we arrived an hour early.
Food was great. Buffet breakfast and lunch with ample options. Dinner was Al la Carte and quick service.
The location is not ideal unless you have a car because there are not many restaurants within easy walking distance, but apart from that, it is a very nice hotel.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped and with a very nice view of the surrounding mountains.

Macroplaza is less than 1 km from the accommodation, while Obispado Museum is 5 km away.
The hotel is located at a great location near the macroplaza.
In the area there is enough to see, for example the parque fundidora. You can shop and there are more than enough good restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and helpfull and the rooms and hotel in general are beautifull.
Excellent place to stay. Walking distance (three blocks) from MacroPlaza, five minutes from a Plaza de la Tecnologia, close to the boarding area for the Santa Lucia Water Ride.
The hotel looks great, and staff is friendly.
The hotel is old but very well kept and they are renovating it as there is quit a competition, in general it is a good place to stay as it is in front of the macroplaza near the downtown and with quick access to everything except airport that is a half hour without traffic
Location: We are walking people. We prefer to get out and walk the city rather than drive or cab around.
It is not uncommon for us to walk 15-20 miles a day when we are exploring.
If you are like us and you love to walk walk walk this is a great area. If you like to walk a little bit…this is still a great area.
There is a lot to see and do around the hotel. There is the “River Walk” which is within normal walking distance.
At the end of the river walk which is not what most people consider walking distance there is a museum.
It is the Steel Museum. We walked the whole river walk but about half way down you can bike it if you aren’t a walker.
You are within walking distance to the old quaint part of the city “Barrio Antiguo”. Very cute, colorful little business and houses.
A lot of museums (history and art). There is a nice park across the way from the hotel that is a hop and skip away. There are a lot of food options nearby.
We did struggle a little bit with finding a lot of breakfast options. We never ate at the hotel restaurant.
We ordered room service our first night because we were so tired. We got the tortilla soup. It was decent.
TRANSPORTATION: Metro Rail very close $4.50 pesos. There are plenty of taxi’s – you need pesos for this. Not a lot of card readers. Walking – obviously.
There is a B cycle around the city not sure where the locations are. There is UBER and buses. I walked, cab and metro nailed it around with ease and a moderate amount of spanish.
Wifi was okay. It was not super fast American wifi. It allows you to do basic googling/maps/e-mail/text. I could not use Netflix on my iPad.
Side note: Many people are very picking about their beds and it can be a deal breaker for them.
I’m not that picky but feel that there are people who would be upset about the mattress. We do sleep on a memory foam mattress.
This bed was very hard. I’m not sure if that is because we are used to memory foam or if this was just a really hard damn bed. My boyfriend and I agreed on this.
Tip: Floor to ceiling glass windows is on one side of the building only (I believe).
That side gives you a views of the city with mountains in the background. We were in room 516 which was on the “good side” of the building.
