Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina may face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Hotel Mepas, situated in the center of the business area of the city Mostar, where East meets West, by foot only ten minutes away from the old town, is surrounded by the most popular cultural establishments. It is situated in immediate proximity to the main city square, numerous restaurants, night clubs and coffee bars; it offers an ideal blend of modern architecture and timeless elegance to its guests.

It’s location on top of a shopping mall is original but very handy if you want to do some shopping while visiting. The room was very large and the huge bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also huge. We paid a very good price for such a deluxe room and were also happy with the breakfast buffet. There is an indoor pool which was empty when we were there in the afternoon. The staff on reception are helpful. It is quite a walk to the old city and we took a taxi back at a very cheap rate.

The hotel is situated within a shopping mall with a big supermarket at the basement. This provides convenience for food and souvenir shopping. Room was big and clean. Breakfast selection was reasonable. Hotel is close to the old town. We took a walk to the old town in the evening.

. Hotel has a big comfortable lobby and the staff were cheerful and helpful. Our room was on the same level as the small breakfast room. The room was big, bright, nicely decorated and has a view of the city and mountains far away. Soft bed and pillow choice plus full amenities including coffee/tea maker, hairdryer and a bathtub.

We had issue turning on the TV but after 2 separate visits from different hotel personnel they managed to sort it out. Good channel spread and also WiFi coverage in the room. Breakfast spread was limited but sufficient. Only issue was the breakfast room was small with limited tables(probably the size of a suite and with the tourists staying here we had to wait for tables.

Located on top of a shopping mall makes this hotel a great choice. In seconds, you could get into the middle of the mall from your hotel floor Just brilliant.

Hotel room is big with great view to the city with a mountain backdrop.

Love the bathroom. It’s huge and equipped with a bath and rain shower.

To top it off, the pool and fitness center is on the same floor.

2. Hotel-Restaurant Kriva Ćuprija 4* – LGBT Friendly Hotels Mostar

Hotel-Restaurant Kriva Ćuprija
Hotel-Restaurant Kriva Ćuprija

Set in heritage-listed limestone house, Hotel-Restaurant Kriva Ćuprija is situated just steps away from the UNESCO-protected Old Bridge in Mostar. It features a restaurant serving traditional dishes and a summer terrace overlooking the Radobolja River. Free WiFi is provided.

All rooms at Hotel-Restaurant Kriva Ćuprija are equipped with air conditioning, minibar and cable TV. They all have bathrooms with hairdryer, minibars and views of Mostar’s Old Town. Some rooms feature balcony

The restaurant serves international cuisine and national dishes such as veal, saslik and freshwater fish. The dessert menu includes crepes, hurmasice, baklava and tufahija, typical Bosnian desserts.

Mostar is a beautiful, unique city and it deserves a hotel to match – which is Kriva Cuprija. It’s nestled right in the heart of things, but you would hardly know it as you step outside the hotel, since it manages to feel tucked away – despite being just a few steps to the bridge, and the other attractions of the town.

We were impressed by every aspect of the stay – the incredible warm welcome and service of the staff, the gorgeous and spacious room, and the all-around beauty of the space itself. It feels like a room should cost twice as much as it does. We really can’t see how there’s an alternative place to stay in Mostar.

In the very heart of Mostar, just few minutes from the Old Bridge, Kriva cuprija has an excellent location. Small river Radobolja passes by, adding to the magic atmosphere and providing for a great cool place to sip a cocktail or just have a coffee or bear in hot summer days. Our room was lovely, spacious and very clean. They preserved old stone walls. Breakfast was generous,, tasty and they offered variety of fresh fruits – Herzegovina strawberries were amazing.

Service and staff is something I cannot give enough compliments to. Usually in BiH we say “the staff was great for Bosnian standards”. Here staff is great by any standard. Friendly and helpful, thinking a step ahead of you.

This hotel is literally right on the Radobolja River that runs through Mostar. a few cobblestone steps up from the hotel and one is in the Old Town. Great location.

Beautiful architecture of a brick limestone style, Hotel Kriva Cuprija has comfortable modern rooms. There is also a restaurant on site that serves dinner too. Staff were amiable and nice. Rates were reasonable.

Mostar has a fairytale setting with stone-walled buildings and cobbled paths, and staying at Kriva-Cuprija just added to the experience. A stone`s throw from the famous old bridge, and with its quaint crooked bridge right outside the building, the hotel was as centrally located as it can get. Staying a night at Mostar was a good decision – you get to see the quiet side of it after the throngs of day-trippers have disappeared.

Service was good. Staff were friendly and willing. I had a welcome drink and dessert, which was a nice surprise. The room was clean and spacious with all the modern amenities. I did not have dinner at the restaurant but the breakfast spread was generous with plenty of choices.

Prices at Mostar are easily half of pricey Dubrovnik, where I came from. I recommend staying here for the good value, central location, and traditional experience. This is as far as I can get to being in a fairytale.

The hotel location is right in the centre of Mostar and is close by all the attractions. The staff of the hotel are excellent. They are professional and helpful and helped with all our requests. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are very big. The hotel has a paid car park right next to it (10-15 meters away). The breakfast of the hotel is very nice with great views of the crooked bridge.

They offer you nice Bosnian coffee and excellent choices of desserts. I highly recommend this hotel as it is amazing value for money. Don’t look elsewhere, if this hotel is vacant book it!

The hotel is well situated to walk to Old Town, clean and all of the staff were nice and helpful.
The comments about the uphill walk are not to be dismissed by those that have mobility issues but for anyone that can walk with no problems it is not that bad.

The Villa Eden provides a real 4 star service. The hotel seems rather new and is kept in very good shape. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Its location up the hill close to the old town makes it the perfect place to stay. Rooms are very nice. Outside pool can be covered in case of bad weather.

It’s new and modern hilltop hotel just a 10-minute downhill walk to the old town of Mostar – remember that coming back will be up slope! Restaurant had good Bosnian coffee along with traditional Ćevapi for dinner, enough for us to be considered having tried local cuisine. Excellent choice if visiting Mostar, too bad we only had one night here.

This hotel is great, really! Big, comfortable rooms with super comfortable beds and a great bathroom. Very cleans. The suite had a crazy big balcony! Quiet and peacefully, no disturbance from the corridors. Well functioning air con. Great WiFi. A big and tasty breakfast buffet.

Located on the top of the hill. Yes, kind of an effort to get here but well worth. Away from the hustling and bustling but with a great view.

Pool and wonderful sunbathing area. Super super friendly and service minded staff. Arranging for us that we could check in to the suite when leaving the double rooms.

Hotel gym being quite limited like hotel gym often are. But there is a gym.

Well worth every penny
