The Tribe is a modern hotel in Nairobi, and a great place to stay if you’re looking for an up-to-date and comfortable hotel. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast buffet was extensive (including eggs to order), and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is on the grounds of the Village Market mall complex, so it is easy to walk there for shopping or dining. The restaurant at the Tribe is excellent, and I enjoyed both lunch and dinner there. I did have two issues, one of which was poor internet in the room. I was only a few rooms off the lobby, but I had inconsistent wifi.
Sometimes it would work great, but often times in the evening I would have a signal but nothing would load. It seemed to drop off consistently after 10 p.m. each evening. If I walked to the lobby the wifi worked fine. Secondly, there were some inconsistencies in cleanliness of the room. Much of it was spotless, but there was a fair amount of mold in the grout of the shower (seemed incongruous with the level of the property). Additionally, a bedside lamp or reading light would have been nice! Just some little things—but overall a nice stay in a very comfortable property.

I loved Ibis the moment I walked into the hotel. The staff are welcoming and warm. I loved the design of the hotel and the fact that you have options of restaurants to eat at. It’s well located, safe and has a great ambience.
The overall experience was great. The room was small but well planned with all the amenities at hand! For a couple or single person use it is excellent.
Ibis Nairobi is beautiful, modern, stylish, neat, clean and trendy hotel aptly located in westlands. In Front there is Indian Restaurant Angeethi, Small Cafe 7 by 11 (Good For short meetings), and Dejavu. You can do morning walk nearby no traffic. Rooms are small but it is ok for Single travellers or may be couples. There are no Almirahs in the room so you really have to manage. Good thing this time they have started the gymnasium.
Good value for money in Nairobi where the price range for good hotels is usually above 90 USD. Good location in Westlands, not far from malls and bars. Rooms are small like in any Ibis hotel, not much space for luggage and no closet. Breakfast is decent. Good if you need a clean and safe place to sleep and plan not to spend a lot of time in your room.
