The ultimate Gay Resort and Beach Club in All of Mexico. Located in the Romantic Zone, the Almar is simply fabulous in every way.

The rooms and suites are spacious, impeccably renovated, modern and immaculate.

Beds are large, super comfortable with many layers of immaculate high thread count white linens. The bathrooms feature double sinks, separate large walk-in marble showers with deluxe L’OCCITANE spa products.

The staff is gracious, caring, attractive with omnipresent smilies and there is always someone readily available to attend to your every need,

The Mantamar Beach Club on the legendary Playa de Los Muertos is connected to the Almar is GAY Paradise with its’ sparkling Azure blue Infinity pool overlooking the ocean replete with cushy cabanas, multiple hot tubs, and a massive pool bar.

Servers and bartenders are there at a glance and they will remember your drink of choice.
The DJ, Sushi, Spa Cuisine and Designer Wood Fired Brick Oven Pizzas are truly world-class.

I’ve been back to Almar every year for four years and it just gets better and better.

The Almar and the Mantamar are incomparable in style, service, and comfortable luxury.

It is my favorite place to spend my birthday and any vacation around the world.

The Almar is at the back end of Playa Los Muertos, with very light through traffic on the street between it and the beach club. It gives the resort an intimate feeling, while being open as well.

The entire staff, including sales team, are extremely nice, professional, and work very very, hard.

All of the rooms have balconies with pano views. I was on floor 6, the lowest residential level and I’ve attached a shot of the view.

The Mantamar Beach Club staff are also great. They’re not only there to make sure you get drinks, snacks, cabanas, etc, they also do a very good job of keeping the riff raff at bay.

Yes, there are trinket sellers wandering through, but they seemed to be vetted. I also saw a refreshing lack of weed dealers on the beach.

You can easily walk down the beach to the pier, level the whole way in 20 mins-no need for cabs or ubers.
The skybar is just nothing short of fantastic.

I haven’t seen anything like it outside of Miami Beach.

The rooms are well appointed with kitchenware, towels, sitting area, sumptuous shower and dressing area and lots of marble (careful, its slippery).

One request would be to add a few disposable razors and aspirin packets to the minibar offerings.

This is by far the best gay resort in Mexico. Hands down. You will have fun here.

The hotel is tucked into the mountain overlooking the beach near the Blue Chairs.

The rooms are great and all come with balconies. The property has its own beach area and pool.

To sit poolside you have to consume about $50 in drinks so we sat by the shore.

The breakfast which was included with the room with a surcharge was limited so it’s not worth it for the whole stay.

The views from the hotel were great. The facility was well maintained compared to other hotels.

To reach the beach you have to go down a flight of stairs which you feel on your return.

The hotel is a bit far from town and the bars but taxi service is available for 50 pesos.

Having stayed at various hotels in Zona Romantica, I think the Almar is by far the best hotel in terms of luxury, amenities, and location.

The Almar Resort is conveniently located by the beach and has the beach club, Mantamar, connected to it.

If you’re a gay man in Puerto Vallarta, you want to go to the Mantamar Beach Club. Trust.

In addition to the wonderful amenities, the staff at the Almar Resort are simply amazing.

Once I checked in, I met with the concierge staff, Angel. Angel was great. He provided me with all the relevant information about the resort, as well as scheduled my manicure/pedicure. He was friendly and very resourceful.

The spa staff is amazing as well. Isela, one of Almar’s nail technician, gave me a wonderful manicure and pedicure. Isela was very professional and kind and was able to tell more more about Puerto Vallarta.

I definitely recommend her for your manicure/pedicure needs.

If you can’t stay at the Almar, you can still enjoy the Mantamar Beach Club with a small fee. The bartenders and staff are very friendly and very response.

The DJs play some fun tunes and people are very friendly there.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel with small but extremely well appointed rooms.

The staff is amazing, the rooftop bar is absolutely fantastic and welcomes all including LGBT.

The pool and beach club are absolutely fabulous and are truly the destinations spot for the gays, pool lovers, and beach lovers and Puerto Vallarta.

The food is amazing and they have a sushi chef on site as well.

Video Review of Casa Cupula Luxury

The on-site Taste restaurant serves Mexican-style dishes and American cuisine and also features views of the tropical forest and the sea.

There is also a bar and free Wifi is available in all areas.

Casa Cupula is one of the most luxurious boutique hotel resorts in the world, welcoming gay men, lesbians, and friends of our community.

We offer the services of a five-star mainstream resort in three boutique properties: Casa Cupula, Private Residences and Owner’s Villa.

Gourmet food compliments three pools, a gym and sophisticated modern design. Located in Amapas, walking distance to gay beach clubs, nightlife, restaurants and cafes.

We had not been to PV in years and surprised how gay friendly it has become. We Googled for gay hotels and found Casa Cupula.

What a treasure! Close to the beach and downtown, but secluded and feels like the jungles. Private and beautiful. Luxury in the heart of PV. The staff is delightful, especially the Concierge, Antonio.

Perfect for gay couples, modern and cool design. Beautiful terrace with 2 lounge chairs and a table and chairs, as well as an umbrella. Fabulous view over zona romantica and the town.

There is a small “infinity pool” right next to room 403 and a door from the terrace to the pool, so that was lovely…. it’s a small plunge pool, but very nice.

Resort has 3 pools, one is clothing optional.. All staff were very nice and accommodating. The gym is large and usable, there is a Bistro but we did not try it.

The hotel is a guest house, it’s not a 5 star resort, but has lots of charm, and was very pleasant…. a nice change from large resorts…

We travel a lot and liked it so much we booked for September! Although it is a “gay resort” we found it to be low key, and accepting of all, which was great…

We are a gay couple and were made to feel very comfortable and “at home.

And oasis for LGBT market, wonderful suites with spacious terraces looking over gorgeous hills and ocean views.

The location was a few short minutes by inexpensive Uber or taxi (very convenient and dependable), and you arrive in gay centro with lots of dining options, bars and shopping.

It was definitely noticeable the focus on customer service within zona romantica.

Back to the Casa…the Pool club was intimate and relaxing offering another area to appreciate the ocean-views.

Both Alex and David providing great care and attention to my hubby and I, Alex was definitely a standout in regards to ensuring overall satisfaction with the food and beverages ordered, being proactive and immediately resolves issues to ensure your are satisfied.

The small infinity floor on the 3rd floor was gorgeous when it comes to privacy and killer sunsets (which we had almost every night of our stay).

Gorgeous property and amazing attentive staff. It feels like returning home every year.

Thank god for an all gay, male, adults only resort in this day and age of gentrification and the extinction of our gay ghettos.

Gustavo and Boris take such impeccable care of us every year and we were thrilled to meet the new concierge Eduardo who led us on a wonderful private tour and hike of the Botanical Gardens, which is a must visit.

We stayed in the Frida Suite and we weren’t disappointed!! Very nicely decorated and spacious with a great view from our bedroom and balcony of the bay.

The bathroom was awesome with 2 shower heads (for those couples who can’t agree on water temperature!) and two copper sinks!!

Glad it had an in-room safe for your valuables and also a special treat to have a stacked washer and dryer which we used (and they even provide some soap!)

Stocked refrigerator with all kinds of drinks. Water is purified throughout the facility so no need to worry about drinking from the tap.

Great A/C (a must in JULY) that kept us cool!

They have 3 pools and we tried all 3. All very refreshing. The new Pool Club (clothing optional) has a party going on weekends but we didn’t attend.

The infinity pool up top has a great view of the bay as well!

We had breakfast included and went almost every day. It was prepared great and super presentation. Hats off to the staff at Taste!!! Excellent food!

We used Uber almost exclusively and worked out great. Just a couple US dollars to take you down to the city below.

You can also walk, but bring your comfy walking shoes as it’s quite steep.

The roads in the city are cobblestone so good shoes/sandals are a must!

We were close to all the gay attractions from clubs, spa, beach, etc.

All within walking distance. Felt very safe in the city as they have a vibrant LGBT community.

Over all we had a FANTASTIC stay at Casa Cupula and know you would too.

The staff did an amazing job making us feel right at home. Thanks for making our trip very memorable!

3. Piñata PV Gay Hotel Puerto Vallarta 3* – Gay Hotels Puerto Vallarta Mexico

Piñata PV Gay Hotel

Featuring free WiFi and a Pool & Hot Tub open 24 hrs, Piñata PV Hotel offers accommodation in Puerto Vallarta.

The guest house has year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Every room has Air conditions and a flat-screen TV. The rooms have a private bathroom.

There is concierge service at the property. The property is located 500 m from Los Muertos Beach, in the gay neighborhood where you can find a variety of gay bars and nightclubs two blocks away.

The nearest airport is Lic. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz Airport, 9 km from Piñata PV Gay Hotel.

Piñata is an entirely Gay Hotel for men. The Hot Tub & Pool are private clothing optional.

Video Review of Piñata PV Gay Hotel Puerto Vallarta

All new construction and a unique creative boutique design, Business class rooms, AC, keyless digital entry.

Located at the heart of old town, back door too all the popular Gay Bars and 3 blocks from Los Muertos Beach.

The hotel was located in the heart of old PV-walking distance to great restaurants & bars.

The owners staff the hotel with young, hard-working, friendly and professionally trained employees (and did I mentioned cute too?).

Rooms are tastefully appointed and comfortable with state-of-the-art AC systems and other amenities.

The rooms and grounds are impeccably clean. There is a nicely equipped work-out area on the top roof (Bowflex weights/ropes etc).

This is a boutique hotel and therefore on the smaller end.

However, it’s perfect for couples and solo travelers that enjoy being in the company of other gay men at the bar or in the jacuzzi relaxing. The owners have a “quiet” time at 12 midnight which makes sense in order for guests not to be disturbed.

I really enjoyed the ability to bring a “friend” over to the hotel without going through all the hassle of being vetted by a team of security officers.

If you choose to do so, you just need to use discretion and be responsible about it.

Rooms are comfortable and the hotel staff friendly and attentive.

The location can’t be beat – and if you are a traveler who prefers a retreat from crowds, this hotel offers just that. It is minutes from the beach and great shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Guests will also find there is not a better located hotel for enjoying the local gay nightlife. I was in PV for the first time and traveling alone, yet felt that I had found a home and a family at Pinata – I couldn’t recommend it more highly and plan to return again – SOON.

The hotel rooms are adorned with art, a great style & vibe, Dr Bronner’s Soaps, and the rooms included Beers & Sodas, high speed Internet, and Free Drink Bracelet for the Saturday Hotel Party.

Piñata Parties are rather fun and something no one else dares to pull off.

All parties are Shirtless, No Smoking, Men Only, and No Fan Clicking.

Piñata Saturday M4M Social Party from 7-11 pm, After the Beach & Before the Bars. The Bar, Lockers, Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Private Dark Garden Terrace are open during parties and always to Hotel guests and for parties it’s a an extra fun social vibe that’s not a normal bar or club found in the town or cities.

Tours at Piñata are a great choice alone or in a group.

They are always Men Only. Piñata’s reputation is Dependable, Trusted, and a Value Gay Stay, Festive Parties, and exciting Tours on the Water, in the Jungle, on ATV’s, Horses, and ZipLine.

This is the only gay boutique hotel in PV. Like I said in the title, everything is a short walk.

The place is fairly new and has a cozy feel. I especially liked the attentive service the staff provided. The owners can provide a wealth of information on PV.

Inside the courtyard, you can’t hear any sound from what otherwise can be a noisy street in front.

It is small enough where you can meet most of the other guests (which tend to be friendly professionals). I would especially recommend the place for first-timers to PV.

The Pinata Gay PV Hotel is a very welcome addition to the lodging scene in PV.

The quaint little hotel is mere steps away from the PV nightlife, and only about five minutes’ walk to the beaches. From a location standpoint you couldn’t find a better spot.

The hotel itself is not like anything else you’ll find in PV. The owners, Ronnie & David (who are amazing, btw), have created a wonderful little resort with a refreshing pool, a toasty, large hot tub, an outdoor gym with the best views of the city, on-site massage and seven distinct, spotless rooms with incredibly comfortable beds and spacious layouts. The addition of the liquor license and new steam room should only add to the fun atmosphere.

While the men-only hotel tends to attract a younger group of guys, everyone is welcome. Be warned, however, that there are a number of steep staircases to navigate so if you even remotely have trouble climbing stairs, this might not be the right property for you.

The property is also clothing optional (except for the rooftop gym).

For years when I’d visit PV I always stayed at the Vallarta Cora. Now that the Cora is closed, the Pinata PV Gay Hotel might be the next best thing.

4. Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel 5* –  Gay Resort Puerto Vallarta

gay resorts puerto vallarta

Featuring suites with ocean views, Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway is set on Puerto Vallarta’s main beach. It has a spa and 2 outdoor pools, and offers guests a glass of champagne and a massage on arrival.

Each luxurious suite has attractive décor, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Guests also receive butler service.

A range of international cuisine is served in the Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway’s restaurant. There is also a lobby bar and a swim-up bar. The hotel offers cocktail-making workshops.

Overlooking the waters of Bahía de Banderas on the Pacific Ocean, this upscale adults-only hotel is 2 km from the Malecón boardwalk.

Contemporary rooms feature colorful accents, and provide private balconies with bay views. All have free Wi-Fi and smart TVs, as well as minibars and coffeemakers.

Suites include in-room whirlpool tubs and sitting areas. Some have rooftop terraces with hot tubs and hammock.
The location is excellent. Short walk to the Malecon but with that said the surrounding properties aren’t as nice as the wonderful boutique resort. They did a great job with architecture so you don’t see or notice this. This is not a deterrent for us. The facility is excellent. All the rooms are oceanfront.
The service is top shelf. The food is above and beyond what you would expect from most all inclusive resorts. The guests were all friendly to each other.
I liked that it was a good mix of people old, young, mixed races, gay and straight.
Not just couples either. The pool isn’t large but accommodated everyone however this might not be the case when things get back to normal.
We are a gay couple and we have always been treated with kindness and respect at this hotel. We travel a lot, currently we have been traveling more than a year.
We have had an opportunity to stay in many hotels and resorts, Villa Premier is one of our favorites in Mexico. We agree with just about everything that has been stated in the other reviews.
It is well located, well maintained, quiet, outstanding food, and everyone on the staff tries their best to provide good service.
If a problem arises management goes above and beyond to take care of the problem.
It is another 10 minutes walk to the gay area ( bars and clubs).
Hotel Premiere has a nice mixture in terms of crowd – people were happy and friendly. Gay travelers will feel welcomed and comfortable.
