We’ve been coming back to this hotel for awhile now and the Tuscany tower rooms never disappoint. The jet spa tub dry themselves after 20 min., which makes me feel more comfortable in using them. Taking a long bath using the gel shower from the hotel, was WONDERFULLy relaxing within the large bathroom suite, while listening to the hotel’s “Art Television” music playing on the TV inside the bathroom. Also, the rooms seem to be truly cleaned daily, quite a task, considering how huge the rooms are. Great Value for sure.

We traveled to Reno with another couple and we all stayed at the Peppermill. The staff were all very nice and the hotel was clean and very nice. Not over the top fancy, just very nice rooms with modern amenities and a sense of pride in being a top notch hotel/casino. The casino was well laid out and a good environment to spend some time gambling.

I recently stayed at the Peppermill Casino and resort and pleasantly surprised at how clean and beautiful the property is. Impeccable really with an old world charm. The room had horrible view of roofs and pipes and there was a jacuzzi in the middle of the bedroom. This does not deter the great experience. The casino is a great size and inviting. The reassurances were great. Property was close to everything and complimentary shuttle to and from the airport.

Professional staff and excellent service upon checking in. The king room was very spacious, comfortable bed, clean, and had a good shower. The breakfast was basic but good.

This was formerly a HIE hotel. BW has done a complete renovation. Everything is new. Our king room was very spacious and contemporary in design. Of course the entire property is clean and new.

Now, this hotel is a island in a very commercial/industrial area. Just off I-80 and easy to get to. Can get noisy with I-80 and the industrial activity adjacent.

Excellent Location, close to I-80 freeway, close to restaurants. Quiet comfortable & Clean – Rooms were good size with mini fridge and microwave. The hotel was very clean, hallways to room clean and the room was very clean. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel staff and the beauty of the hotel were great. We used the pool and hot tub and they were both very well taken care of and it was a great experience. We will definitely stay here again in the future. One of the things we wanted was a hotel without a casino. This was a perfect place and the casinos were close and there were restaurants close also.

It’s a larger size hotel for best western standards with several floors. The rooms look spotless and may have been recently renovated and were very quiet. Heather was there to check me in and was very kind and friendly as well as the other staff. Pool was open for use, which is good for a nice swim. They still provide a grab and go breakfast bag. Parking was very ample and did not have any issues finding parking even on the busy weekend.

Designed to bring the best of the outdoors inside, this new landmark hotel caters to the free-spirit in all of us.

What an amazing gem in downtown <span class=”_3f5ztoLj”>Reno. It’s lack of a casino gives you some peace and turns your attention to other things that are also fun and exciting. But if you still want to have some casino action, all you have to do is cross the street and they are all there. Best of both worlds!

Staff were universally friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms were clean, modern and tasteful with lots of nice little touches.

Whitney Peak is a non-gaming, non-smoking hotel, located in the middle of downtown Reno. The closest gaming establishments are El Dorado and Harrah’s, which are 1/2 block away.

Smoking: It does not allow smoking on its property. Even if you choose to gamble at a casino where smoking is allowed, coming back to a smoke free room is refreshing.

Amenities: *Indoor* rock climbing facility is very attractive; it has an outdoor rock climbing option as well; the climbing fees were very reasonable for registered hotel guests. The club lounge on the 15th floor is very comfortable, if you choose to pay for a club level room. The 15th floor offers light breakfast and evening drinks.

Services: The staff members were attentive and efficient. On the last day of our stay, I requested my car to be pulled from the valet parking lot. The valet desk advised me that it was already pulled up, even without my asking.

When compared to other gaming hotels (i.e., with smoking, with casinos), the hotel rates are likely higher but if the qualities above matter to you, I feel that it’s well worth the price difference.

This is a nice, non smoking, non gambling hotel in downtown Reno. The room was large with a large bathroom. The television channels are okay (no Hallmark Channel). The free internet was okay but you had to sign in each day. They also offer a paid internet option ($10 for 1 day or $25 for 3 days). They have a shuttle from the airport but it is a $10 charge.

The Whitney Peak Hotel is a gem in the heart of downtown Reno. If you are looking for a place to stay that has no casino and is smoke free, this is it. The room I had was spacious, and the king size bed is very comfortable. There were robes and slippers as well as a coffee maker, refrigerator and safe in the room. I have found my new go to hotel in Reno. It is perfect.

Lodging in Reno is more of a gamble than you might expect elsewhere, except maybe Las Vegas. Rooms are advertised at all the major casinos starting at about $49 per night, which sounds like an amazing deal for what you get, but…they all have a “Resort Fee” between $35-$50 per night, which includes things like use of a swimming pool, airport shuttle, business center – things you get for free at most hotels costing over $100 per night, and if you want more than the basic room, you can find yourself spending $180 when you were expecting to spend $90.

Casinos still give you a nice room for the price because they do an incredible volume; I’ve had to wait 30 minutes to check in and the line was over 50′ long. Plus there is the excitement/glitter/noise/chaos of the casinos themselves, strategically placed so you have to walk through them to get to the elevators to get to your room. Sometimes that is an impressive walk of 5 minutes or more. I’ve stayed in 3 of the more popular and highest rated casinos, and it is never a completely pleasant experience because I neither smoke nor gamble.

If you want peace and quiet, a charming small hotel located downtown and two blocks from the Truckee river, a large room, a short walk to your room, and good service, I recommend the Whitney Peak Hotel.
