1. Esplendor by Wyndham Savoy Rosario 4* – Gay Friendly Hotels Rosario

Esplendor by Wyndham Savoy Rosario
Esplendor by Wyndham Savoy Rosario

Set in a refurbished historical building and featuring spa facilities, Esplendor by Wyndham Savoy Rosario offers design accommodation in central Rosario. There is a restaurant and a rooftop terrace. The main pedestrian street is 200 m away and the Parana River is 400 m away.

Spacious and bright, rooms at Esplendor by Wyndham Savoy Rosario boast a stylish, modern décor. They feature free WiFi access, cable TV and work areas. Parquet floors and soft-coloured, upholstered sofas provide them with a warm ambiance.

A buffet breakfast including fresh juices and pastries is served daily. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Argentinean dishes. Spa facilities include a sauna and a fitness centre.

The location is very central, within walking distance of many of Rosario’s best sights and restaurants. We especially enjoyed the adjoining Savoy Grand Cafe, which offered great drinks and excellent food for reasonable prices.

The architecture and decor of the hotel are breathtaking, and it’s exceedingly well-maintained for a 100-year-old building. The service was impeccable: very professional staff that gave us directions around town, fulfilled every request, and allowed us to store our luggage for a day after checking out. Our room was clean and beautiful: hardwood floors, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom.

The free breakfast (located in a dining room overlooking a cupola and rose garden) was better than in many U.S. hotels, and included the usual cereals, baked goods, and beverages as well as eggs, bacon, ham, fruit salad, yogurt and brownies.

The Esplendor Savoy is a beautiful hotel, set in a historic 1910 building refurbished as a boutique hotel a few years ago.

It has a great location, a few blocks from the river and close to the (now somewhat shabby) main commercial street. Being an old building there’s no parking onsite, but there’s one with a discounted fare less than 50m away, so it wasn’t actually a problem.

I got a ‘Superior’ room (larger, facing the street) and it was spacious and had plenty of light. It was reasonably well appointed and had a decent bathroom, but nothing spectacular.

I really liked the hotel’s character, and the staff was friendly.

The hotel is located downtown, 4 blocks from the river and in a so so area, like all downtowns in Argentina. The building is awesome and classic. Ground floor is beautiful and minimalist with modern decoration. Great place for a drink and relaxing. Breakfast is excellent in a beautiful area overlooking the street corner. Rooms are just okay. Nothing fancy. Good beds, decent TV, nice old refurbished bathroom, high ceilings.

Centrally located in a beautiful old renovated building with a sweeping marble staircase, ornate facade, and art deco cupola. Expedient reception staff, adjacent restaurant with high ceilings and comfortable lounge make for a pleasing ambience. Hallways lined with cascading curtains and original-style tiles, with glass-walled elevators. Room was very comfortable and clean with time and effort taken in terms of ambience–colors, fabrics, and materials chosen. Continental breakfast was filling and juices freshly squeezed.

The building is so nice, for the classics´ lovers, the room was really nice, clean and quiet.

The swimming pool is so relaxing after a day walking around the City, one thing is to make sure there are towels in the pool area before getting into the water, as it may take several minutes for the staff to bring them.

Sauna is included in the room rate and you should not miss the chance to use it.

This Hotel is renovated and updated from its original 1915 design. Modern furnishes and clever architectural design elements makes it a feast for the eye.

The rooms are spacious and surprisingly quiet, given the busy streets right around the building.

There is a beautiful indoor swimming pool and sauna in the basement and a breakfast room with terrace on the top floor. A good restaurant and bar completes the offering.

The staff is friendly and helpful and also speak english.

2. Puerto Norte Design Hotel 3* – Gay Friendly Hotels Rosario

Puerto Norte Design Hotel
Puerto Norte Design Hotel

Puerto Norte Design Hotel, located in the picturesque coastal area of Rosario, with the Paraná River, stands as a symbol and addition to the architectural heritage that characterizes the city of Rosario.

Public areas, reception, lobby and other spaces as well as its rooms were conceived with a modern architectural criteria, that combines exclusivity with elegance, simplicity with sophistication, technology with tradition, so they make it a unique, new and innovative point of reference in the world of hospitality in the city. With 6 floors and three basements, the luxurious building is erected on silo structure located on the street Cándido Carballo as an undisputed avant-garde symbol of the city.

First: Location. Puerto Norte is located in a very charming area of the city by the Parana River, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. I recommend a parrilla called “El Viejo Balcon” near the hotel: it features delicious Argentine meat and Malbec wine, with a special Rosarino touch. It is also a short five-minute drive away from a beautiful and bustling street, Boulevard Oroño, which aside from having great bars and restaurants, is also amazing for a stroll.

Second: Hotel itself. Puerto Norte’s rooms are brand knew, pristine clean, and have high-tech entertainment systems (ask for a river view if you can stretch your budget). We specially enjoyed the spa, the two pools overlooking the city (one of them of them is indoors, with nice lounge music), and a top floor restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which also has a great view of the river.

Third: All of the staff. This is where the hotel stands out. The staff is FLAWLESS. I have stayed in many high-end hotels worldwide, and I’ve never seen such dedicated and personalized service. Everyone at the hotel greets you with a smile (you won’t miss the doorman, who sports a very cool 1950’s hat!), and throughout your stay staff members are happy to accommodate all your needs. They are there whenever you need them.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable and our room had the “river view” which is very nice, especially at sunset! Do go to the roof where the pool is located and check out the sunset and the city–you can see all of Rosario from there. Breakfast was good and plentiful and service fine.

Finally, the City of Rosario has a hotel that you are not dreading the Stale bad Breakfast, terrible WIFIs and so so service, depending where you are staying.

The hotel is on the new river walk that has been built there. In my case, a lot of my clients have moved to that area, so for not being in the city center is not a big deal. And certainly, if you have to do business in the City Center its 8 minutes car ride away.

The restaurant, although the service is a little slow, and it is small, is surprisingly good. I had the steak there, and it was cooked to perfection. The breakfast is served on the 5th floor, the service and quality, beat the hell out of all the other hotels I have stayed in Rosario.

This is the place to go, after driving 3 plus hours from Buenos Aires, if you want modern, well thought out, nice views, great wifi, great rainfall type shower, and everything you should expect in a good city hotel.

Beautiful new hotel along the river, with shopping and restaurants right behind it. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the river, and typical Argentinian buffet style breakfast and the hotel bar is very nice too. The standard rooms are not spacious, but are comfortable and modern decoration. The view we had was nice and you could see part of the river (rooms that face the river are much more expensive).

The lobby is gorgeous, but the perfume or air freshener is overwhelming. Other than that, highly recommend, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel is nice to walk along the river and has shops and restaurants.
