The property features comfortable shared lounges, a well-equipped library including travel and cultural books, a fireplace, a massage salon, and an inner patio.
On the historic quarter of the city of Salta, on Mitre Street, this mansion, which once belonged to a patrician Salteñan family, has regained the charm of its original spirit to accommodate Legado Mítico Salta, a hotel where tradition combines with today’s contemporary lifestyle.Inspired by history and culture, warm and moving, these hotels evoke those characters who led the way with their luminous performances, as well as the silent ones who wove their individual existence in the weft of our collective identity. In their design, refinement and classicism gracefully combine with the simplicity of current trends
We found this small hotel very comfortable. It is located a few blocks from the main square, easy walking distance. Elegant lounges are on the ground floor along with a couple of rooms. The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms have names rather than numbers. Our rooms were clean and comfortable.
We stayed in a Mythical Deluxe Room, the one named La Escritora in the back on the main floor (named for a famous female writer). It is HUGE and has a quiet private patio at the rear. As other have said, this was once the home of a leading Salta family so staying here is a bit of a glimpse into an earlier era of wealth and elegance. The shared spaces and rooms have been tastefully updated to a tee, almost so much so it seemed like we were in a magazine (but what a nice place to be on vacation).
We stayed two nights at this hotel and had a really good experience. The room was very large and tastefully decorated. We were on the second floor facing the back which made it very quiet. the sitting room on the first floor is beautiful and we enjoyed a very nice glass of wine there that they offered as a welcome drink.
It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the main square and a 5 minute walk to Calle Balacarce which has many restaurants.
he public areas and rooms are very tastefully decorated and furnished so that the whole place has a pleasant and stylish ambience. Our room was comfortable, quiet and well-equipped with lots of nice touches like multi-standard power sockets. Breakfast was fine and the English-speaking staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again if we ever return to Salta.
This small hotel is gorgeous! The common areas: dining, library, study, courtyard – are all comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed wine & cheese early evening in the library several times during our stay. Our room on the main floor was very large with its own private patio. The king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is modern with a large walk in shower.
Our room was comfortable and very inviting. We highly recommend this hotel! It is about 5 blocks walk to the main square – so it is very conveniently located without being in the middle of the hustle bustle of central Salta.
Beautiful, large first floor room with ‘Juliet’ balcony overlooking a small courtyard. Wasn’t too crazy about the art work, not sure huge photographs of feet really does it for me but it’s all very tonal and generally fits in with the overall scheme. On the plus side, it has at least been thought about and isn’t generic.
The hotel is centrally located and furnished in a modern colonial style. The feeling you get is of a grand house from another era in the best possible sense. The way the light enters the ground floor is very atmospheric and the central outdoor courtyard with it’s spectacular plants made it all feel very cinematic..
As other reviews have stated, the breakfast was great.
A very good choice of hotel in Salta.

A bar with energizing drinks is featured in the state-of-the-art gym. Facilities include a hammam and a hydromassage tub. Massage sessions can also be requested.
Very luxurious, with excellent facilities, a very spacious and tastefully furnished room with a nice view of the city, a large bathroom outfitted with everything you could need, a fine breakfast buffet, a swimming pool and fully equipped gym and spa, and located in the city center, a mere 3 minute walk from the Plaza 9 de Julio. Finally, the staff were all very professional and helpful, and most of them spoke English remarkably well (which is definitely an exception in Argentina).
Hotel Alejandro, Salta Is located in front of a tree covered square, a couple of blocks from the main plaza. Front desk staff is helpful and efficient but could be slow from time to time. The standard room is well appointed with a desk and a few chairs.it has a great view of the mountains and the city. The bed is comfortable. The pillows are not as plush as it should be. The heavy duty industrial carpets take away the luxurious feel but they are practical somehow.
The bathroom is a good size with a deep bathtub and a separate shower. The shower doors could use some adjustment for a smoother opening and closing. Three problems occurred, continuously running water in toilet, the spot light in the front door area and the thermostat but they were all fixed by the end of the second day of my stay. Fruit plate was placed in the room as a compliment. The management seems to take customer service seriously. Breakfast was a buffet style and there are varieties to choose from.
The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to restaurants, Main Square, Train Station and most city attractions. Very happy that we selected to stay central.
Good size hotel room. Was very comfortable. Bathroom was also a good size. Breakfast had plenty of choices and open early enough so we could eat before going on a tour and late enough for our days of relaxation.
Staff were very kind and speaking English each time we interacted with them.
