Lesbiangaybisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights in the United States have evolved in recent decades. However, LGBT Americans may still face some legal and many social challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents, particularly in states with large conservative populations, such as in the Deep South; in rural areas; and in some Native American tribal nations.

U.S. federal law does not explicitly include protections against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. In June 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that sexual orientation and gender identity are included under “sex” as a prohibited ground of employment discrimination in the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Same-sex sexual activity is legal in Arizona, and same-sex couples are able to marry and adopt. Nevertheless, the state provides only limited protections against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

The accommodations and attention to detail and hospitality provided by Ann and Carol were second to none. With great pride, Ann and Carol put out a different and outstanding breakfast each day.
Following breakfast, Ann and Carol draw upon their depth of local knowledge and experience and make sure that each guest is well prepared for the day’s activity.

We were looking for a nice place for two couples and came across Junipine. Wow, did we stumble on to a great place! We could not be happier with our visit.

The location was great, just north of town, and was easy to get to. The property is beautiful and the accommodations were lovely.

Very comfortable and cozy.

We had a king “room” which was more like a small home with a private jacuzzi on the deck. This whole area is reminiscent of Big Sur on the California coast, but instead of ocean, there were red rock cliffs, green trees and the sound of the river running over the rocky riverbed. We had fireplace in the main living room and one in the bedroom, double sinks in the bathroom, two flat screen TVs, full size refrigerator and a dishwasher.

The employees behind the counter were extremely helpful and kind as well. We left here and drove to Vegas for three nights. Our only regret was not staying here longer and in Vegas less.

The perfect place to enjoy the scenery and attractions of Sedona. This place is great. Not exactly a lodge but a series of buildings with 4 units in most. Definitely spring for a rim view room. We had a nice little deck where we could watch the sunset or the stars.

Updated spacious room with a nice bathroom. Convenient parking. The front desk staff was so friendly. When I inquired about local restaurants the guy gave me a printed list with his personal favorites highlighted.

The grounds are a botanical garden, with many plants labeled – beautiful. The pool is a little small for the demand but the water temp was perfect … felt so good at the end of a day of hiking/touring.

It’s a short walk to the Airport Mesa Grill for breakfast. Impossible to get a dinner res there but breakfast service is efficient and the food is very good (try the breakfast tacos).

Have I mentioned the wine bar at the lodge? – sit on the covered patio with your wine or beer or get a to-go cup to take to the pool or your room. Ideal spot for your Sedona vacation.
