We really enjoyed our two week stay at the Aegean Suites Hotel. The room was spotless with fantastic views over the bay. Great to sit on your private terrace with a cold glass of wine in the early evening before setting off to either the beach tavernas nearby, or the pretty tavernas in the old town. Make sure you hit the old town with its higgly piggly cobbled streets rather than the eateries off the Main Street. Also get the directions into town that avoids the main road.
Main draw for the hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Stavros as front of house and Haris, Simos and Vladimir in the bar/restaurant were all brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you.
If you are in a high number suite there are a lot of steps to reach your room, but all good for your fitness. The noisy main road does run close to the pool but you can’t see the traffic and we quickly zoned out the noise.
Overall a great, small, intimate, friendly place to stay which is within 15 mins walking distance to beautiful Skiathos Town.
This hotel is absolutely lovely. We were so happy to spend four days here and our experience started with the manager, Yiannis, and his staff including Kristina, Stavros and Simos. Everyone made us feel so welcomed and treated us like guests in their home. We had a beautiful suite with lovely balcony with view to the sea. All the amenities in the room were great. The pool is wonderful to swim laps in and very relaxing. Breakfast is off the menu and excellent. We loved that this was an adult only & gay friendly hotel. It’s very charming and comfortable.
The Aegean Suites is a beautifully positioned hotel just a 15 minute walk from Skiathos Town. The accommodation is very comfortable and tastefully decorated and designed. It has a beautiful pool area with very comfortable loungers (although being so close to quite a busy main road, it can be quite noisy during the day).
There is a Pool Bar that serves drinks and food during the day and a smart restaurant serving high quality food and drink in the evening. We stayed in room 108 which was about halfway up the series of stepped rooms and I would have to say that if you have a problem with steps or mobility, this would present an issue. What makes the hotel so special is the staff, Simos, Christina and Vladimir were so friendly and helpful that they made our stay just that much more memorable. They provide great service with a smile.

This is a lovely hotel just a short walk from the centre of Skiathos town. The rooms are tasteful, large and very comfortable. The owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is immaculately clean and the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard. I would highly recommend it.
Our suite was spacious with two large double bedrooms and situated on the highest floor with nice views of Skiathos town. Rooms are kept very clean and the beds are comfortable.
Breakfast is fine and is made to order from a request sheet you fill out the night before. We chose to have ours served in the room so we could enjoy it with a view. Staff are great and helpful with any requests, tips and directions etc
Situated a few minutes walk from the busy town centre, but quiet enough to have a good night’s sleep, The Mystery is in a great location.
In short this is a stylish, comfortable choice for your stay in Skiathos, highly recommended.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Skiathos then look no further! We had a fantastic week staying here this month. A beautiful family run hotel, with great accommodation. Fantastic view over the town. Set into the hillside, just a short walk from the town centre. The service and staff were excellent. When we come back again we will look to stay here.
Our room, the Grand Villa, looked out over the Skiathos rooftops, and had a balcony and a roof terrace. The bedrooms were a great size and there was more than enough room for two couples to enjoy their holiday and have some private space. Breakfast was brought to our room and was amazing – truly amazing – delivered in a large picnic basket.
The whole break was great value. Helen was a star, she fondly remembered us from our last visit and warmly greeted us on arrival and took great care to ensure we had a great stay. We strongly recommend this amazing hotel to anyone visiting Skiathos Town.
What a beautiful boutique hotel with modern, spacious rooms and balconies overlooking the pretty town and mountains, great for watching sunsets. We had a hot-tub which added a bit of extra luxury. The owners Thomas and Katerina are the nicest people and along with their friendly staff are always there to help, nothing is too much trouble and they are always friendly and smiling. We had a lovely breakfast by the pool and they have a bar which is great for drinks and cocktails. We would highly recommend a visit.
The hotel is placed very close to the city center as well as the port. It has many parking places, but in order to get there call the staff 15 minutes before to guide you to the hotel-waze application does not guide you very well there. You can access every point of the island with any means of transportation.
The rooms are very spacious, clean, equipped everyday with all that you will possibly need.
Also, the food and breakfast is flavorsome, with local, authentic products.
The crew working there is very pleasant and discreet. However, if you needed anything, they would immediately appear.
The pool, as well as the other poll-related facilities were also excellent and well done maintained.
In conclusion, we warmly recommend this hotel, because the atmosphere, food and crew were outstanding.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we can’t wait to go back there.

Have visited Skiathos many times before and the Avaton didn’t disappoint. Stayed in a pool view room on the first floor. Bathroom was a small but room was spotless and cleaned daily. Different due to pandemic but the choice of breakfast was good and the staff on reception and the bar were excellent and very friendly. Short walk to the beach at Meglia Ammos and lovely 15 min walk into town along the beach of an evening.
Food at the poolside restaurant had a limited menu but it was very reasonable, and portion sizes were massive!! Drinks were a little pricey compared with down in the town.
Our room was spacious and attended every day by the housekeeper.
The pool and grounds are very well kept, plenty of sun loungers, sun beds and bean bags. Because this is a small hotel we were always able to grab a spot around the pool, despite it being fully occupied.
The vibe and ambience of this hotel is spot on, the best small hotel we have ever stayed in, a lot of this was down to the staff, every single member of staff is so friendly and helpful, best staff we have ever know in any of the hotels we’ve stayed in. They couldn’t do enough for us, offering advice on sight seeing, bike/car hire best beaches and restaurants etc.
Breakfast was good, large selection of pastries, cakes, breads, fruit, and of course bacon and eggs.
The food in the poolside bar is served at lunch time and evening. The food is excellent but we only ate here once as the menu is very limited, I think if they could add a few additional dishes to the menu then more people would eat here instead of walking down to the beach bars 5 minutes away.
The location of this hotel is also spot on, 5 minutes to the beach and bars/restaurants and 15-20 min stroll into the town where there are so many restaurants and bars.
We hired a moped for 5 days and visited so many of the beautiful beaches Skiathos has to offer.
Really cannot fault this hotel, it contributed to the nicest nicest holiday we have had for years, we loved it and hope to book up soon for next year.
Really lovely hotel. Smaller than I expected but that was good. It felt intimate, up market and stylish.
Staff could not do enough for you and went beyond what you would expect them to. They were always helpful and were so friendly. Rooms were good. The first had a patio on ground floor which was nice as you could walk straight out to pool.
Pool was lovely area, again small – this isn’t a place for large, loud groups but a really nice place to chill.
Bar was excellent and food served there really good. We did not want to leave and cannot wait to return.
