Excellent hotel in good location, walking distance from the Sochi Port and boardwalk, with all the restaurants and action. Hotel is fairly new, well appointed, with excellent bathroom and shower facilities. Breakfast is very good. Hotel has a nice large pool. It is not directly on the beach, but the beach is a relatively short walk away (some steps!). Definitely will stay there again should my travels bring me back to Sochi someday.
Located close to the Sochi beaches, as well as walking distance to the city centre, location of the hotel is very good. One can find the best restaurants in town nearby as well.
Rooms are very clean and modern. Very well equipped. The only problem is that the room service menu is only to be found on the TV which is a bit hard to navigate.
Staff are not as good as they could be though. They are trying to be helpful, but unfortunately, they do not know what they are doing. For example, I tried to get the WiFi working, and it took me 3 calls, and they finally sent someone here to get it fixed.
Check out was OK, but got my bills wrong.
Anyway, it was a nice stay overall, and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Probably the best price/quality ratio one can get in Sochi. Great breakfast, polite and obliging room service, comfortable rooms and out of the window views to die for.
Private beach with all the amenities. A choice of restaurants inside the hotel building. And all this nearly in the center of Sochi, a few minutes walk to the port with many restaurants, shops, etc. Highly recommended.
I thought the outdoor pool was exceptionally nice. Breakfast is substantial with a good variety. The location is great — very near the promenade and a 10-minute walk to the picturesque old sea terminal.
Internet access requires getting a code sent to your cell phone by text or voice message; text did not work for me so I had to go with the voice message, which was in Russian. This would be problematic if you don’t speak the language, of course.
Very good location , private beach , underground parking , nice rooms , gym & spa are in the next door Pullman hotel on the 16th floor with a stunning breathtaking view . This hotel is a 4 star and is twice cheaper than 5 star pullman hotel but since you almost get the same perks as in Pullman , you can save some money and choose Mercure.
There is a outdoor swimming pool and they charge you 1000 rub extra for it . There are many restaurants and bars and nice promenade by the sea . Free transfer to the mountains is included , so if you re staying for a longer time make sure to hop on that bus.
The staff was very helpful and courteous and the hotel is in an excellent location – close to the centre, beachfront promenade, easily accessible from the airport (taxi 35-40 min) and very close to the sea ( mind the 11 flights of stairs). The hotel room provide you with a comfortable bed, sitting area with comfy armchair, writing desk, mini fridge, tea-coffee facilities, TV, wardrobe and luggage rack.
Bathroom is well appointed with all shiny and perfectly working fixtures, taps, showers, hair dryer etc etc. All bathroom towels are crispy clean and changed daily.
Breakfast is more than sufficient – it’s delicious, tasteful, elegantly presented and contains all you need for the morning meal, yet in comparison with the last year I found a selection of fruits to be weak.
One addition to their beach facilities – VIP bungalows.5 in total, located on the left and right sides of the beach area – they are free for guests staying in Presidential Suite Pullman, 5k RUB for other hotel guests and 6k RUB for walk-ins. VIP bungalow amenities include beach towels, fruit salad, mineral water and everything else available for other guests – lockers, shower, toilet, changing rooms, wifi, lifeguard and medical service.
As usual, Mercure is a guarantee of quality in each detail: from the 1st floor with reading corner and fragrant cappuccino till a room with wonderful sea view.
