1. Hotel Slavija 3* – Gay Friendly Hotels Split
![Hotel Slavija Split](https://www.kikijourney.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Hotel-Slavija-Split-960x640.jpg)
Located within the historic walls of the UNESCO-protected
’s in Split, Hotel Slavija offers free internet, a 24-hour reception, and air-conditioned with satellite TV.Most of the bright and
offer private balconies with panoramic views of Split. The rooms overlook church towers, narrow Dalmatian streets and Marjan Hill.Guests can start their day with the continental
served each morning in the restaurant or in the room, and the service is free of charge. Guests of the Slavija enjoy reductions at some of the nearby restaurants.Hotel Slavija is type of a heritage hotel due to its location, history and protection by Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and UNESCO. The Diocletian’s Palace was built in the middle of the 3rd century AD, while the Hotel Slavija was built inside its walls, above the Emperor’s western baths. Therefore, it can be concluded that the building of the hotel influenced the protection of the Baths from the devastation.
With time the building of the hotel expanded, and from the Baroque palace it became today’s Hotel Slavija. Hotel Slavija is under the protection of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, and in part is protected by the UNESCO. The location in the very center of the town makes Hotel Slavija an ideal choice for a stay in Split, surrounded by all relevant historical buildings of the city of Split, including the Temple of Jupiter, the St. Duje Cathedral, the Milesi palace… It is ideal place for both business and pleasure travelers because of its location.
Hotel is situated in the very center of the city and is but a few minutes walk from all the major attractions as well as from the main bus terminal, airport shuttle terminal, railway station and ferry. The hotel has 25 rooms and each room is air conditioned, with private bath, hair dryer, satellite TV, Internet connection and direct dial telephone. Some of the rooms are with terraces and Hotel is especially proud to present them because, terraces are rarity in the old part of Split.
This place is in the perfect location for this as well as site seeing. Throughout the two days, I was able to easily venture out in the palace corridors/ walkways and on the waterfront to eat, drink and relax. The room fee includes a mainly “continental” breakfast with, in addition to regular items of fruit, yogurt, cheese, etc, great coffee and eggs cooked to order.
It was a fantastic location and not far to walk from where the cars drop you off. It was in the heart of all the entertainment and eating spots on the Split waterfront. The hotel is very modern inside and has a lift. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable knowing the bus routes and where to catch them. The room was a great size with a large bathroom. It was spotlessly clean. The restaurant below where breakfast was supplied was great.
It is a 3-Star hotel. The rooms are clean and minimalist in style (I mean in a good sense). There is no elevator from the narrow street to the front door of the hotel (unless the restaurant is open and you can go through) so guests need to use the stairs. Breakfast is served in a restaurant, which is not part of the hotel. It works really well.
The rooms are clean with air conditioning and the bathrooms are spotless. The location is unbelievable, right in the centre of where you’d want to be in the old town. The rooms also have double glazed windows so 90% of the noise is blocked out.
Location – in old town; restaurants and cafes just by the hotel entrance steps. Easy walk to close by shopping and supermarket, Billa. Old town is an easy maze with wonderful stores and cafes round each corner.
Staff – friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included served in an intimate space – nice assortment of times and cooked to order eggs.
Rooms are very basic – more hostel than hotel like – no fridge, no kettle – bed, desk, chair, cupboard – attached bathroom with shower. Be warned that the smell of sulphur emanates from the bathroom constantly – understandable apparently because the hotel is built over what was ancient roman baths. Air conditioning/heating units have seen better days so I hope they will be replaced but our rooms had windows with shutters which allowed fresh air in. But also noise from customers in eateries and people talking, given businesses nearby.
We were pleased with the choice of this hotel in Split – it was close to the port to access ferries, shopping, restaurants, and historic sites – no hesitation to return should we visit Split again

The Prima is a building just few meters out of historic downtown where you can walk into in 5 minutes. The building hosts (and basically was entirely before) a department store that was not so successful therefore management opted to use a full floor for room rental. The good point is that room are very well furnished, really spacious, full of light. Price is somehow higher of a regular room rental but quality is in another planet compared with the rest of the room offered in town. Beside a reception open 24hrs not much is offered as an additional service so be prepared to do it yourself.
Located i a shopping mall first feels a bit strange but is just by the entrance to old town and main shopping street. The rooms where big and the staff very nice. Parking can be an issue but the guy in the reception got in my car and guided me right. A clean place that lives up to my expectations by far.
The rooms of the hotel are on top of a mall, hence a nice view. In general, as it’s at the edge of old town, everything of interest is in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. At the same time price is fair. Overall a good package.

The hotel itself is very modern, contemporary styling, clean and slick. Our room on the 4th floor was large and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking one of the small harbours. At the top (level 6) was a small outdoor swimming pool and bar. There are fresh towels to use. The views are lovely, to Brac and Hvar, Podstrana and the old town.
The staff are very efficient and helpful and speak very good English. The health suite is very clean and comfortable. Nice indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, plus the Caribbean shower.
Breakfast was plenty of choice, with the usual hot buffet as well as the cold meats, fruits, pastry. Something to suit everyone. There is a restaurant (where you eat breakfast) but we didn’t get round to trying it out. We did eat food at the roof top pool and it was of a good standard.
Location is in a quiet semi residential area close to some small harbours, a few local restaurants, cafe/bars. There are a few beaches that are in walking distance, to the left past the outdoor swimming pool is the sandy beach – a 5 min walk. We preferred to walk about 20 minutes the opposite direction to a beach which was predominantly small stones, so beach shoes are a good option. Just beware that the beach bars do not serve food so it’s a good idea to take something if you intend to stay on the beach all day.
Facilities, especially the SPA and the rooftop pool … AMAZING. The breakfast although lacking a bit of variety; was really good. On the room service A La Carte, you must try the roasted chicken … from a different planet.
Good restaurants (Kadena, Biberon Sushi) and bars (Green House) very close. Modern, stylish decoration, spacious rooms. We took a room with balcony on the seaside, the other side looks to a hospital building, price difference was about 25% without, and 50% with a balcony over the cheapest room. Probably make sense to take the middle option as seaview is beautiful but balcony does not add so much.
Staff is good and helpful, lot of smile and we could even negotiate a good direct rate, better than booking, which is rare for hotels of this standard. Breakfast good but not special, fruits not freshest, coffee average. Hotel offers spa services and you can use spa without limitations on arrival day as well as after check-out same day, a very good offer. Outside pool on rooftop has great views and (at least for out of season) enough sunbeds and seating bags, and there is also a small bar offering drinks and snacks up there.

POSH is the newest 5* hotel in Split, Zenta bay. A place where superior luxury meets Mediterranean charm and hospitality. From the moment you step into the hotel, you will find yourself in a world of sophisticated luxury and exceptional service. Featuring “infinity pool” and beautiful wellness, private garage and well equipped gym, Posh is going to satisfy the wishes of the most demanding guests.
We stayed at All Suites Hotel Posh for five nights last summer—it was absolute heaven.
The Hotel: The hotel has a pleasant, innovative design-look to it, in-door parking, a small but wonderful infinity pool with a built-in jacuzzi area & swim jets, lots of pool towels available, and plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the magnificent views of the Adriatic sea. At night this area is lit up by gas fires that make it very romantic. While the hotel has no restaurant, it offers a well-appointed breakfast & a full-time bar service. The suite (I think it was the Glam) we stayed in was luxurious, well-appointed & comfortable: a comfortable bedroom with a good bed & plenty of pillows, a large outdoor terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a living & dining area, two toilets & a bathroom with shower—all of which had plenty of closet space. Importantly, the room was clean, the water pressure excellent & the air-conditioning systems (bedroom separate from the living space) worked perfectly. So far, so good. We are accustomed to pay for luxury but often get disappointed by annoying or missing details—not this time. Everything was perfect.
The Location: The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, about a 15 minute drive from Split old city center. Getting an Uber or taxi is not a problem at all. There are several restaurants at walking distance from the hotel, however the roads are slightly hilly & many do not have sidewalks, or the sidewalks are obstructed by parked cars. Note that having a full kitchen offers the possibility of indoor dining & food delivery can be arranged as well. The neighborhood restaurants I recommend are Dvor restaurant, chic outdoor dining, a 15-minute walk. Closer by is Barkarola restaurant, which is more casual. Both have sea views & excellent food.
The Beach: The All Suites Hotel Posh has a backdoor that allows guests to exit the premises on the seaside. Towards the left, you’ll find a long flight of steps down to a pebble beach frequented mostly by locals. It’s a quiet beach in a little bay with lovely crystalline water, perfect for snorkeling. Take a bit of bread to lure the fish to you. This beach has shower facilities & a bar that serves drinks, including water in plastic cups (no bottles), but there are no places to get a quick sandwich so bring everything you need along with you. We liked it, while it’s not a beach for long walks, it was clean & the water perfect. The only drawback was having to take the stairs upwards again, so this is only recommended for those who are mobile & have stamina.
Things to do: Besides going into old town Split with its rich history, we also booked a private boat tour with Toni Goles (Absolut Charter) who took us to several wonderful places during the day, including Trogir (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Drvenik Veliki (snorkeling in the Blue Lagoon, absolutely lovely) & Nečujam (snorkeling above a ship wreck). But we mostly enjoyed the peaceful quiet luxury of the hotel, lounging by the pool, enjoying the seaview, the weather, the pool. This is a place to decompress, to read, to gather your thoughts. So if you want to party, if you want loud music, you want to be seen by the in-crowd, please just book yourself another hotel.
Best of All: Like I mentioned before, we are luxury travelers—our main goal during vacations is to relax, enjoy the views, swim, lounge, read & recharge our batteries. But as well-appointed as this little all suites hotel is, the most delightful surprise of all were the people working there! All of them made our stay at the hotel perfect—they were accommodating, helpful, always smiling, they made us feel pampered & special. I’d like to mention Daniela Zebić, the office manager, in particular—her weight worth in gold for the hotel. The bar staff was great, very attentive to us, bringing snacks & platters of fruit that made our stay a bit more special. The cleaning crew was wonderful too, efficient & fast. I sent some laundry to be done & it was back in the room within a few hours! I wish all hotel managers would take a good look at All Suites Hotel Posh & learn on how guests should be treated!

Little away from noisy part of city center, we situated our beloved intimate hotel near Gripe fortress. Fascinated by the energy and atmosphere, we spontaneously attracted peacocks family as we created a small green oasis with soul so you could fully enjoy with them in chef’s TIME. Sometimes it takes just nice educational wine tasting in good company. We thought about that for you in most profound manners. That’s why you can even get your private time in MeTIME wellness, jacuzzi or pool with your beloved one. Because it’s so divine and relaxing! We know well time with kindest attention, experience and natural sensation is the new luxury.
Time Hotel Split as it is beautiful new hotel, fine-furnished, with very nice spa area incl. indoor swimming pool, 15 min walk from downtown. What we were most impressed was level of service, professionalism and kindness.
appreciated so much the spa area: there’s an heated pool, a jacuzzi, a bio sauna and everything you need for a relaxing stay! Also the structure is specialized for massages and lots of treatments.
The room was beautifully decorated and We especially liked the very large mirror and large bed. Loved the shower. The breakfast had limited choices ,but understandable due to to size of the hotel. The scrambled eggs were delicious, but the option to have eggs done another way would have been nice. The staff are all lovely and very attentive and give the hotel the personal touch.
