LOCATION: Hotel is located in a prime area within Freedom Square. Conveniently located next to marts, plenty of eateries and a mall nearby. Parking in front of the hotel may be a problem as most of the parking spaces are occupied by taxis.
Old town is at a walkable distance.
GREETINGS: As we entered the establishment, we were greeted by our names as they were already aware we would be checking in. The front desk agent was friendly and assisted
CHECK-IN PROCESS: The check-in process was smooth. The reservations were made online, so the formalities were minimal and we were soon shown to our room.
STAFF: Overall, the staff were friendly. There seemed to be a shortage of bell-boys as during check-out, we had to load the luggage into our transportation by ourselves. Even one of the security / bell-boy who assisted with the luggage during the check-out process actually disappeared by the time our ride arrived.
All staff members during the breakfast service were excellent. They were extremely friendly, efficient and quick to fulfill any requests.
The hotel is located right on Freedom Square within walking distance of the old town and public transport options. Within 5 minutes walk, were dozens of restaurants and mini-markets.
The desk staff is very helpful and I especially wanted to thank Mari for her help in giving me directions to things.
The beds were so comfortable and the breakfast very good. There were also great fitness facilities and an indoor pool which opened early enough to actually use before touring each day.
ROOMS: Rooms were large and spacious and our room overlooked the square. All amenities were available in the room from a refrigerator to coffee machines. The stocks of sugar and coffee were replenished regularly.
BATHROOM: Bathroom was of average size. A tub / shower was available, but was a little compact. Taking a shower usually made the floors wet and we had to place towels on the floor to ensure we do not slip.
INTERNET: The Internet connection was very good. One instance, we had gone across to a restaurant on the opposite side of the square and the signal was still being detected.
SWIMMING POOL / GYM / MASSAGE ROOM : Swimming pool and gym are located in the basement and is an indoor facility. Pool is reasonably large for an indoor pool. Gym had a decent amount of equipment. The massage room was inconveniently located and lacked a certain degree of privacy.
BREAKFAST: Breakfast was good and offered a decent range of items. Food was freshly prepared and an egg station was also available. There were items that catered to everyone’s palette. Only negative point was that during our stay, which was about 5 days, there was no variety in the offerings. For the most part, it was the same items that was being served on a daily basis. Unique dishes on each day of the week would have been a nice touch.
OVERALL: Very good hotel. Centrally located. One of the best locations to start your exploration of Tbilisi.

I liked the location of the hotel, it’s 2 minutes walking to the freedom square and walking distance to everywhere in old Tbilisi. I liked the cleanness and comfort of the room also i liked to ambiance of the hotel i.e. it’s very colorful. I liked the idea of having free beverages in the lobby. Many restaurants and grocery stores are available around the hotel. the hotel’s restaurant serves a very nice Sushi.
The staff were very helpful and efficient. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-designed. There is an abundance on offer for breakfast, with free coffee/water throughout the day. The restaurant offers excellent food and drinks at very reasonable prices. The WiFi is strong. Best of all, it’s within walking distance of Freedom Square. I’ll definitely use this hotel again if ever I’m back in Tbilisi.
The Ibis Styles is in a great location. The higher rooms (6th and 7th floors, even numbered rooms) have lovely views across Freedom Square. The hotel is on a street with multiple dining options. It is also at the edge of the old town and steps away from Rustaveli Avenue, where there is shopping and many museums. Rooms are small, but very cheerful, bright and clean. Staff is multilingual and can arrange inexpensive transfer to the airport. Breakfasts have a nice variety.
The quality of food in Tbilisi is so fantastic that one might consider skipping breakfast to save room for a days worth of eating and wine drinking. I would certainly consider the Ibis if I return and favor its location over some of the higher end properties such and the Marriott and Biltmore.
Located a block away from Freedom Square, Rustaveli Avenue and 10 minutes walk to Tbilisi Old Town, you can’t ask for a better location.
Rooms are funky in decor but functional. The Bed is super comfy. You have a safe and refrigerator. In the lobby you have unlimited free still or sparkling water bottles and there is a coffee/espresso machine.
Breakfast is well stocked and very good.
I chose to book this hotel for its location and colorful interior design. I was not disappointed. I stayed two nights. It’s located on a street off Freedom Square so it’s both quiet and next to many attractions, shopping and restaurants. The interior design is colorful and cheerful throughout. Check in was quick and the front desk staff were friendly. The room was big, clean and the bed was comfortable. The fridge had complementary water and soft drinks. The bathroom was small but very artistic and with good amenities and a rain shower.
The only con was the view from the window which was the building in front of the hotel, but this was not an issue for me. The lobby had complimentary drinks and was a nice place to sit and relax. Breakfast hall was charming and the breakfast spread had a good cold and hot selection. Breakfast servers were not very attentive but again this was no issue as it was buffet style. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this hotel.
This Ibis Styles is how every hotel should be: truly excellent.
A welcoming reception area, friendly staff. Great lifts leading to typical Ibis Styles slightly funky corridor, with carpets reflecting the landscape of Georgia.
Stayed in a premium room twice during feb 2020. Both times the space in the room was excellent, plenty of storage. the second bed was almost double bed size, made from a folding sofa.
The overall room is sober in colour, with some bright furnishings in corners. Water, tea and coffee available in the room and more is available, without charge, in reception. Free coffee attracts taxi drivers so you’ll never have a problem getting a cab here.
The seventh floor rooms have a huge balcony. Expansive views across Tbilisi. Most pleasant, even in the rain! There’s a bar, I think it was on the fifth floor. Very comfortable, but underused in February. But I bet it’s lovely in the summer!
Wide selection of foods for breakfast, again one of the best Ibis Styles breakfast selections.
The hotel has its interiors designed on “Shaun the Sheep” character and I must say its too cute. The staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious. The decor and the colors inside the rooms are all based on shaun the sheep theme. My kids and we loved it. What a refreshing change from other city hotels! We stayed at a suite for 2 nights on our arrival to Tbilisi and we also stayed for another night upon our return from Lake Lapota region.
On our return, we had booked superior room and we were upgraded to a suite free of charge. We were thrilled as the suites are brilliant. Some are huge with no balcony (we were in room 102) and some are slightly small ( room 709) but with a huge balcony with spectacular views of the city. So you have got to choose. We were lucky to stay in both.
Now about the breakfast: I am very particular about the hotel breakfast when I am on a holiday. This hotel meets my expectations. The breakfast spread was amazing. There were no reasons to complain. Not to forget, even the breakfast area was so colourful. Btw, the hotel has a great rooftop bar that serves some amazing asian cuisine and drinks. The bartender and the staff at the rooftop restaurant were superb at their service.

I would like to say ThankYou to Vinotel for their hospitality. I would definitely come back. And I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends.
Beautiful hotel packed full of antiques and Collectibles assembled by the owner, a climber and adventurer.
Rooms are we’re stunning with plenty of light. Decided to dine in the hotel to celebrate our daughters birthday and what a marvellous decision that was!
The food and choice of Georgian wine from the hotels marvellous cellar was sensational but it was the care and attention to detail of the staff that made this evening so special. Arranging a cake with candles, music accompaniment from the Georgian singers and even a gift of wine.
Hospitality at it best, creating memories that are eternal.
Vinotel is one of the few hotels in Tbilisi that blends Georgian hospitality with authentic, yet innovative, Georgian cuisine. The wine selection is singularly the best of all the hotels in Georgia, not to mention the traditional Georgian wine cellar in the basement is really cool. Any traveler staying here must be prepared to stay in a room that is unique, as this hotel has been lovingly restored from an old turn-of-the century building.
You will notice that the hotel is full of antiques, which the owner has collected from all over Georgia and abroad; it creates an eclectic feel. Also, the location is quite good, near the old city, and they did a wonderful job restoring a little public park that adjoins the hotel. If you are looking for a hotel that combines great Georgian food and wine with authentic Georgian atmospherics, then this is the hotel for you.
